The Bad: The painting crew (3 guys) arrived a couple days after the pressure cleaning. They balked at everything that I asked them to do. For example, I needed help removing some hanging plants around the house and the guy just huffed and puffed and groaned the whole time (about 20 minutes to remove the plants). Also, he was the only one who spoke English. At noon, he left for the day and told me that his helper is now in charge -- but he didn't mention that he didn't speak English. I had to follow them around and tell them (in my broken Spanish) to patch holes that they overlooked. They were going to leave the trash cans and debris in my front yard. They washed their paint-soaked brushes on my front lawn. They left my backyard a total mess and did not help with putting things back in place. As soon as they could, they got in their car and drove away. The Good: Tim provided the estimate for the job and was professional, punctual and responsive. He was flexible in working around my schedule. The estimate included the cost of the paint and pressure cleaning of the house. The pressure cleaning guy, Ray, did a fabulous job. He was professional and courteous and punctual. He went over and above my expectations and was quick to work.

Received a written quote in person shortly after I contacted the company. The work began sooner than I had anticipated which was a pleasant surprise. The exterior of the house was done first, starting with a thorough pressure cleaning. The painting results were outstanding! The employees were very prompt and friendly. After about a week the interior painting was done. They arrived very promptly and started immediately. The work was beautiful. The painters did a great job and cleaned the work areas after they were done. I will be sure to contact them again.

Tim gave me an estimate the day after I contacted University painters. The job was to repaint the exterior of my home including trim and privacy wall. His estimate was great and he was very professional so I decided to go with him for the job. He fit me in as soon as our schedules coordinated and his guys showed up very early and were done in two days. His detail guy that came in the second day was awesome. They left no trace of their work except for a beautifully painted home. I would recommend him and will use his services for any future painting needs I have.

All went well from estimate to completion of touch ups.

Called and spoke with Tim to set up appointment. We were able to meet on a Saturday and Tim was on time. We sat and discussed what I wanted to get done, he them made a through walkthrough of the exterior of the home, explaining the work that would be done in each area. As we walked he was very open to questions and very forthright with the answers. Before he left we had the estimate in hand. We told him we needed to get a few more estimates, he was not pushy or rushed us in any manner. Simply told us to let him know and we discussed the timeframe once a job was started. After getting other estimates we decided to go with University Painters not only because the price was fair but also because of the treatment we received from Tim during our initial meeting. We set up a date to start. On the day the project was to start - the project supervisor and his team werer there on time and ready to go. It took two days to complete the painting of the home. Upon completion we walked the property and I noted small corrections which needed to be made and they were addressed immediately without discussion or excuse. They worked very diligently to assure the customer is satisfied with the job. The home came out very nice and I would definitely recommend University Painters. I recently put up gutters and will be calling them to have the downspouts painted to match the home.

At our final meeting before the painting, Tim let us know to expect his crew early the morning of the job. He was right! The crew was here by 6:30 AM, even though the only one inside the house who knew was our dog. They certainly tried to be as quiet and unobtrusive as possible at that early hour. Although we had done some outside prep the weekend before, I came down with a bad upper respiratory bug which knocked me out and my wife had three evening meetings thrust upon her at the last minute. Nevertheless, the three crew members set about finishing clearing the area in the lanai, so that they could begin both the pressure washing and the masking and taping. The crew was very polite and very cooperative. Anything we asked about or questioned, they took their time to answer and to assure that we understood. One could tell by watching them how well experienced they were. Moreover, they were not just "doing a job," but performing their craft. Before I knew it, we were just about finished. They cleaned up after themselves diligently. I provided them canisters for both general trash and recyclables and they followed suit during their cleanup. What was surprising was that when I first performed the initial walk through with Tim, he told us the crew we need two days to finish our home. That was fine with us. Yet, only taking about 30 minutes for lunch, the crew finished the entire job in just about twelve hours. By the time I did the final walk-around wit the crew, it was deep into sunset. Yet, from my point of view, they did a great job and the colors that we chose looked even better on our home. Not only that, but our house looks brand new! When my wife finally got home from work, she noticed that one small area was missed. I sent an email to Tim and he replied quickly, assuring me that he would have one of the crew members over in the next few days to take of it. After our initial meeting with Tim and receiving his proposal, I called three more painters, only two of whom returned my call. Tim's bid was in the middle and we are very happy that we chose University Painters to paint our home. We would confidently refer Tim and his company to anyone looking for a very professional job at an affordable price.

The company had great customer service and arrived exactly when they said. They were very thorough taping around the door and windows and making sure they everything was protected. The job turned out fantastic and the team was very courteous and a pleasure to work with. Tim was very professional with his estimate and follow up calls after the job was complete. Tim walked the job with me after the job was complete to make sure I was satisfied with their work. Couldn't ask for a better painting company and it was a pleasure working with such a professional team with excellent customer service.

From start to finish the process was smooth and efficient. The sales person - Tim was professional and exceptionally responsive. His crew, led by Juan, are experts. They were able to accomplish the entire paint job in 2 days. While speed was important the quality of work was exactly what we desired. The entire experience was a pleasant one, and we would recommend University Painters, Tim and crew, without any reservation. We will be utilizing the team again in the near future.
