Golden Roofing

This was a first and last experience with Golden Roofing. We signed paper work with them back in the middle of July and just got the work finished in late October. There were several issues that they had to come back and revisit. All in all, the work is good. I am happy with the roof now that it is done. I don't believe it should have taken near as long as it did. Every time we spoke on the phone or in person about getting the roof started; getting something fixed or taken care of, we continually heard 2 weeks, 2 weeks...... This was not the experience I wanted getting our roof replaced. There were many times we expected someone to show up, took time off from work to get home and have no one show and not even a phone call. This was a very disheartening experience. I have other friends and neighbors that have had their roofs done by them also. They have mixed reviews of their experiences, but many similar to ours.

They were great. Richard Clark was the agent that I used. Last time I called him and he answered. He was very professional and the work that they did I am so pleased with it. It was very good. I did have contact with another gentleman, their project manager, he came and looked over everything and asked me my opinion and stuff, and he was very nice also. They were all very pleasant. They cleaned up well, they did their work like boom-boom and it was done, it wasn’t a long drawn out process once the insurance did its part, they didn’t hassle me about the money and because I had to pay by card and I had to wait for the insurance money, the roof has been put on and I still hadn’t got the follow up insurance cheque and I never got a call “when you getting the money”, I called them and told them that I have your money now. It was pleasing because some people hassle you. I paid $2000 but they charged $7000 and the insurance took care of the rest of it because it was hail damage. Well, about their price I don’t know prices for a roof, I think it’s usually between $4000 and $5000 and I don’t have a really large house unless you need some other repairs. Someone else quoted me about 5$000 something for my roof but I don’t think that includes getting all the paper work and all that done and getting all the things that you have to get from the city in order to do it, all that added on to it. Then if there is any repairs that need to be done once they take your old roof off and they do that and that adds a little bit too and my roof was old. I have no problems with the price because, like i said, it was hail damage and I just had to pay my divisible as the insurance actually paid and they didn’t say anything that they were overpriced, they paid what they charged. The quality of work was excellent and the materials that they used were excellent, I actually got an upgrade of the roof that I had and they used really, really good material. Everything they said they were going to do they did. I was home when the follow up inspector came and there were no problems. I had really good experience with them and knowing nothing about the roof, people can tell you anything. Regarding their responsiveness they were right away, not knowing roofing afterwards we had the replacements, I called Richard Clark and he came by and we walked around and looked at the roof and he told me what was what, he would come by like the same day if I needed him to.With respect to punctuality I had no problems with that, when they said they were coming they came. I wasn’t here when the workers were here but my husband was, and he was pleased with them, he dint say anything negative about them or anything. They came and they were serious, they did their work and there wasn’t a lot of waste of time I should say. I would use them in future and recommend them also.
