ULTIMATE STONE

Ultimate Stone sold me a damaged Vetrazzo counter top (discolored, stained and had metal wedged in it), and then refused to take it back for a refund. They blamed the quality of the product on the manufacturer (Vetrazzo), who they alleged have "quality control issues". Even if true, Ultimate Stone still failed to fabricate the surface properly, as it was riddled with holes and chips. Like a fool, I signed their work order before thoroughly inspecting the work, which they believe proves they did a good job, even though the photos tell a different story. Whenever I tried to discuss the matter with Cris, in the office, she fed me with lies, and Lanio, the owner, insists the job is "beautiful". You would be wise to avoid this company. Find an installer/fabricator who is skilled and honest.

The lady who answered the phone was friendly but difficult to understand. I told her what was wrong and she stated that they could absolutely help and gave me a price of $250. I said that was great and asked when they could come out explaining that I was eager as I no longer had a functioning kitchen sink. This was around 11 am. She said that she would need to get in touch with their service people to know when they could fit me in and that she would call me back soon. At 4:45 I had heard nothing so I called back. I was told that she was "waiting for a call back from customers to know the schedule". I didn't quite understand that but I tried to roll with it. I asked her when she would know when she could send someone out and she said tomorrow. I called again the next day and she said she "had to hear back from customer's" to know when she could send someone. I asked her to call me as soon as she knew and she promised to do so. That was several days ago and I have heard nothing. I went with another A reviewed company from Angie's list that gave me a time commitment on my first call.

Everything was great, except it took a couple of calls to get them to come back and fix a minor issue. In the end, very happy

Everyone I dealt with was wonderful. Countertop was delivered today and it is gorgeous. I'm totally happy with the experience and result and will use them again. They were recommended by our contractor.

They mis-measured the top for the stovetop and the seams on the top at the sink and backsplashes weren't done correctly. I called, and they came out twice and both times told me it was done right. They put the stovetop in, but it was still off about a quarter inch. I was happy with the workmanship. Wouldn't use them again or recommend them.

Lanio was recommended by 3 friends and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
