Superior Shade

When we met with David (owner), he directed us to the website for Horizon shades. We expected them to look similar to the shades shown on the website. Once installed, we were extremely disappointed in the appearance of the Averte shades for two reasons. Since the valance was not lined, the light shown through giving it a very cheap look. We also did not know that the fullness of the shade is only a 5% which barely covers the window appearing almost flat. The look we were trying to achieve was more like a curtain, not a flat sheet. When I called David to tell him we were not happy, it took awhile for him to respond, but he did come through. Because he did not give us the option nor suggest a lining for the valance, he replaced them at no additional charge. He also swapped out the 5% Averte shades for the upcharge of a 20% fullness. We did not mind spending the additional 20% charge to achieve the look we were seeking. Now that all work has been completed, I am happy with our shades. If you are looking at Averte shades, I strongly suggest upgrading to the 20% fullness and considering a lined valance to give it a professional look.

I was called and informed Monday 2/5/15 they would come to install my treatments. After the installer put up all the brackets he proceeded to put the blinds up and found that the measurements were incorrect with four of the blinds and had to take them back. Two blinds were hanging. The installer and helper left. I noticed that one of the blinds installed, was not hanging properly. I called the office and I got a man who answered the phone who was very rude, I told him about the blind and not happy with the way it was hanging and was told it would be taken care of. I ASKED HIM WHY HE WAS TALKING TO ME IN SUCH A MATTER. I told him I should be the one upset and finally he said he was busy and they will take care of it. I had several visitors in the mean time and all picked out the blind and told me not to accept it. Saturday, Feb.14 . l:15 in the afternoon, the installer called me that he had my blinds to install. I told him that I was sorry but it did not suit me as I was going to be going out and had to get ready also to call me Monday and make an appointment .Mr Fryburg called me Monday, I told him about the phone call on Sat. and living in a condo we are not allowed to have work done in the units except for emergence and we than made arrangements to have them come out Tuesday. February 17, 2015 they came with my blinds and ready to install. I mentioned to the installer about the blind not hanging properly. I showed him where the blind overlapped on the right side more than on the left side where some of the glass showed. He stated there was nothing could be done. I told him I didn't understand as the other blind was hanging perfect. He got on his phone and talked to Mr Fryburg and was told to collect everything, come back to the shop and my money will be returned. I was surprised but happy as the blind was a eye sore when you walked into the room. There attitude was something that I have never expereinced and I am 91 years old. Customer service is not their strong point.

The man who did our install was so fantastic. He was there for 7 hours and did every window meticulously and accurately, all while smiling and being very friendly and without a single demand. We had an overall great experience and would highly recommend this company.

Called twice for pricing and never received a call back

David was extremely Nice and punctual, answered all my questions and gave me a variety of options. The day of the installation his guy arrived on time and was done before i knew it. I had a fantastic experience with them and will use them for all my shades/blinds needs!!!!!

Superior did a fantastic job! We are very pleased with the quality and prompt delivery they provided. David the owner provided help in selecting fabrics and styles that enhanced the room. The installer was very professional and neat. We couldn't be happier and would recommend Superior in the future.

Excellent - All appointments for measuring and installation were met on time. The owner of the company did the measuring. He brought samples and pictures of items we were considering. He made several suggestions to improve our product. Installation was done quickly and professionally. Minor follow-up adjustments were done quickly. We have used Superior several times in the past and have been thoroughly pleased. We have recommended them to friends who have also used them.

I have been using Superior Shade for all my window treatments since we moved into our house 1990.This past October 2013, David (owner) personally measured the dining room bay windows and made an elegant recommendation for fine wood shutters. I could not be more pleased with the outcome and would recommend David and Superior Shade for all of your window treatments.

Superior lived up to its name and provided truly superior quality and service. David the owner showed up on time and was very professional. He showed us several options and provided input that helped us make the final decision. He was very knowledgeable about the products and was very helpful in selecting colors. The products arrived on time as promished. The installer was very professional and did an excellent job. We are thrilled with the way the rooms look and will call Superior back again when we do our bedroom.

Not good!1 I would not recommend this company. The installer came later then his appointment by 45 min, and than he was talking on the telephone for another 30 minutes after he started to install them. Then the cords were to short, even though the owner measured everything when he was here he forgot they needed to be attached at the floor, on Marble. So they had to reorder the cords. When they finally came in over 2 weeks late they were still to short and the installer installed them on some post as opposed to the floor. The first time they tried to install them I told him I had an appointment which made the phone calls even more unprofessional. However the first thing that happened was when I placed the order at 4pm I had a change of heart as to the color and called them at 9am sharp to change the order, they informed me that they could not do this. This was unbelievable. as it was only 2 business hours later. I paid an up charge from Home Depot to get good service and it was not there. I have had many successes on Angies list from a new roof to new A/C to electrical work but this company doesn't deserve an A rating.

David, the gentleman who initially came out, arrived at the time period previously arranged. He was very professional in obtaining measurements and offering advice on selecting the blinds. The blinds were installed the following week. Again, the installer arrived on time, and did a professional job of hanging the blinds in a very reasonable amount of time. We are very pleased with the end result and plan on calling Superior Shade again in the near future.

Superior came out first to measure, they arrived promptly on time as scheduled. After the shades were made they scheduled an installation date and time and again arrived promptly. The installer who was very courteous did a clean and neat job. There was no mess left afterward. He made sure we were satisfied before he left.
