I have never been so disappointed with a company as I have with Ship Shape Pest Control. First of all, Ship Shape was the subcontractor used by the home inspector that I chose to inspect a house I was trying to buy. I do not feel that they performed a professional or thorough inspection of my house. According to the termite report, there was only termite damage found on the north and south facia. Borate dusting was suggested for these "limited" areas. Unfortunately, when we had the walk-through one day before closing we found a pile of black termite droppings in the master bedroom. On the day after closing we found a pile of recent beige colored droppings in the second bedroom in the corner of the room that did not require the moving of any furniture. We were upset to say the least. So we called another pest control company to give an estimate on treatment. The of the other pest control company's supervisor noticed LIVE termites in the master bedroom and took some away LIVE in a plastic bag. He informed us that borate treatment was not the proper treatment in our case but that tenting was the only option. Needless to say, that option is much more expensive than borate dusting. His price for tenting is $860. Had I known all of this prior to closing, I would have asked the seller to pay $860 for tenting instead of $270 for borate dusting. That is a difference of $590. Now I am out $590. Please note that the termite report states that the Notice of Inspection had been affixed to the WATER HEATER. That is impossible, as the water heater was inaccessible behind a sheet rocked wall at the time of the inspection which is backed up by the home inspection report, thus proving that the termite report is flawed from the start. I will never use these people again.

They did a good job across the board. The price was good and they did what they said.

They're not perfect but they're there when I call them. They don't charge me again because they already charged for the job. Whenever my husband calls them, they're here the next day. They're very good. They just squish something and they go inside the walls so for years, you don't see anything. I feel happy with them. I think the price is medium. It's a free estimate. They'll tell you what products they have, how much and when it's going to be, what kind and they'll give you a price. One thing that I like is when they spray, it doesn't matter how many times you call them. They'll come back. The quality of work is excellent. They're good. Twice, they called me and said they were going to be a little late but it's okay. I am going to keep them.

There are no details. The office schedules an appointment and that's where it ends.

They missed all the wood rot and termite damage. We purchased the home because they're report gave no indication to the damage. They have been cited with the Better Business Bureau over 12 times. The owner Larry Kravitsky has been sued by the Sate of New York. These people go under many dba's. Ship Shape Pest Control etc. They are the scum of the earth. They have broken every law and moral ethics for their industry and the practices. Their lack of professionalism cost me tens of thousands of dollars in repairs.

Ship Shape Pest Control was quickly responsive to my need to rid the rodents. They worked with my schedule. A service crew showed up with all the necessary equipment. Went up in the attic. Placed traps, sprayed all organic chemicals to smoke out the rats. Checked my roof for entry points and placed mesh on any openings. They even took photos so I can submit them to my association. They have been back several times to check traps & again around my schedule. My building neighbor has the same issue and they have worked well with us. Currently we are all clean and no more noises in the attic.

They use all organic chemicals. They do a really good job and we have been very satisfied. Even the butterflies in my garden came back to the garden after they finished spraying. When they spray the inside they use a powder that is also organic. They will check in the attic and around the house while spraying. If you are experiencing any other problems you can call and they will come back without any questions asked.

We asked Ship Shape to our inspect house before we bought it. One of the ship shape technicians, Jeff, did the inspection and found termites. We told him we wanted to tent before we moved in. He gave us a written estimate of $800. When the technicians came back to look at the house again, these were two different guys, they said it was better to spray the attic, so we did. I spoke to Lisa, customer service rep, and told her about the change. She said spraying was better than tenting and that they guarantee the work so if we needed to tent after the spraying treatment the company would do that. After two more visits from techs we kept seeing swarms of termites. I called again and had a third technician visit. This guy was very unprofessional. He said Jeff had messed up the estimate, said Jeff always messed up the work, said the house needed tenting ASAP, and then quoted me another $1800 (on top of the $800). When I told him I was confused about the different estimates he walked out of my house, made a call outside, and left. I was confused and called Lisa back referring to the original written estimate. I also complained about the third technicians attitude. She said he tended to act like that, apologized for it, and said the estimate I got from Jeff was a mistake. The phone call was followed up by several emails between me and the owner or manager there. In all of this back and forth there were also two occasions that I scheduled a tech to visit the house and he never showed up. Ship Shape said that Jeff's original estimate was a mistake. That he charged too little for tenting but that $800 seemed like the right price for spraying so that's the service I was getting. Problem was, the spraying didn't work and I relied on Lisa's word that they would tent if spraying did not work. Even if they needed to keep spraying, the problem was that they only kept spraying the attic, the original area where we saw termites, but they didn't spray other areas where we saw swarms. I hadn't written a review but decided to today because after months of not thinking about this company I got a call from Lisa. She left a message that said, "Ship Shape inspected your property and found termites. Call me back regarding treatment." I called back and reminded her of the bad experience I had with them. I think she was just calling up a customer Rolodex trying to find business. My problem with the company is not even that termites kept coming back. I know spray treatment takes several visits to work. But the level of unprofessionalism and flip attitudes was offensive - even by Miami standards. You can't even say it was just a few techs that messed up. It was bad from the top down. My husband and I took the $800 hit and called up truly nolan. They are more expensive but the people are better and they actually guarantee their work.

Our experience was horrible. They made a mess and left it without cleaning it - leaving it for me to clean up. There was no follow up; I had to do it.

I have been using him since he started the business a number of years ago. I have never had a problem with them, ever. They have taken care of what needs to be taken care of. I rarely see the people who do the service on the outside of the building. If I have a problem in the house and I call them, they are very nice and clean. I don't have anybody to compare them to as far as price is concerned. I think that they are in the ballpark of everybody else. If I have any problem and I call them, they come back immediately at no charge. They will call before the appointment.

We called this company on the advice of our neighbor and they were able to get rid of the ants very quickly even though these ants are notoriously difficult to get rid of. They said if they needed to do another treatment, they would free-of-charge, but fortunately, they didn't need to. I don't remember exactly how much we paid them, but I do remember it was exactly what they initially quoted us.

They are priced very reasonably. They are great at responding if you have an issue. They really back up there product. If you have any issues they come back out the very next day. We have no bugs so their treatment must be effective.

They were professional. They did a good job and did not damage any of the tress or anything.

AVOID BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I am just a few steps away from taking them to Small Claims Court to get my money back for work they never did but lie to my credit card company and say they did.

This company did the termite inspection on the house we bought. We called them to come out to treat the termites and rodent problem. They arrived an average of 45 minutes late all 6 times they had to come out to complete the job they originally said should take 1 hour. While in the attic they put a hole in our bathroom ceiling which none of the workers wanted to own up to. They did spray for termites the first time they came and they said they completed the rodent treatment but after looking in the attic they clearly did not. They said they would remove all the hazardous rat waste from the attic, seal the entry points, leave bait and sanitize the attic. The next day I spoke to the owner and he assured me they would be back the next day but they were so late I couldn't wait any longer and needed to go to work. They came back on saturday but the guys who showed up said they were told they needed to fix the bathroom fan. They were not prepared to fix a ceiling or finish the rodent treatment so they took pictures and said they would speak to the owner and call me back. The guy called me back 2 hours after he said he would to say he hadn't heard back from the owner yet but someone would be there monday. Monday morning came and they called to say they couldn't come out that day. Tuesday they sent out Curt (who seems to be the best employee they have) but he also wasn't given the correct info and wasn't able to complete the job that day but he did repair the hole in the ceiling. Curt assured me he would be back wednesday to complete the job and he did. If it wasn't for Curt I was ready to give up and call another company to come out and redo what wasn't done by the other guys. Curt definitely saved the day!

The first time I used them was because of a tick issue that they eradicated. Both of my sisters use this company and are pleased. They are personable, they work with their clients and do a good job.

We just have to pay them once and they do the job. They keep coming back if they have to. I’ve had them come out once. They come back when you call and not like the other companies where they schedule the appointment a week from now. They are a great company. They live up to my high standards. They are punctual and reliable. They show up that day or the next day which is very unusual in the business they are in. Their work is guaranteed. I would use their services again in the future.

They came once with a group of guys and drilled some holes and pumped a bunch of stuff into the wall, but they didn't kill all the termites so I called them back. They ended up sending one guy and he came with a spray can and sprayed the area. I ended up having to hire someone else to do the job correctly. They came on time and acted professional, they just didn't do a good job. I would not recommend this company.

I liked that they were punctual, thorough and less expensive then the other companies I interviewed. They even took my American express so I could get frequent flyer miles. The technician Alex and his helper Rick were very professional and the owner Larry was great at explaining their process. They had a great rating with the BBB and I have no complaints with the work.

DISASTER! Had to call for an entire week to get the nylofume bags to seal up our food. Each time, confirmed date and time. We left an hour before they were scheduled to arrive only to find out they never showed up that day! They showed up the next day. They left a complete mess inside and outside the house. Things were broken. Communication was horrible. I sent a letter to the company and did not hear anything. Finally received a response (through our exterminator that referred us) that was so completely unprofessional, it was unbelievable. I would never recommend this company or their parent company.

He offered a 90 day guarantee and he is the only one in my area that offered that. He is much better than the two previous companies I had used. He did fail to tell me his sealing job lead to a screen over my dryer vent to be clogged but he removed it without any problems.

We pay them every time they come over to do any work. We have been very satisfied with them because of the good preventive work they have done in our home. The crew is friendly and always show up on time whenever we call them.

THEY CAME AND DID THE WORK, BUT I CAN'T REALLY TELL BECAUSE THERE ARE STILL ANTS EVERYWHERE. THIS COMPANY WAS NOT GOOD. I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE BAD FROM THE BEGINNING BECAUSE IT DIDN'T SEEM LIKE THEY DID ANYTHING AT ALL.
