Sherlock Tree Company

We are part of a community that hired Sherlock Tree to trim our palm trees. We were told that they were only pruning the palms that were touching the roofs of the homes. We spoke with the supervisor on site and told him we did NOT want them to prune our silver thatch palm trees, which are not near the house, so he marked them with yellow tape to warn the crew. Well, they came and pruned the silver thatch trees that did not need pruning anyway and now they look horrible! There was no communication between last week's supervisor and this week's supervisor! The fronds were healthy and there was no reason to cut them. If I were hiring this company privately, I would NOT!

Exceptional work. These guys know how to appropriately trim trees and they spent a long tome to do it right, selectively cutting branches, as apposed to others that just cut off the outer branches.

After requesting an estimate, Jonathan came out promptly to walk around the yard and discuss our trees. He made suggestions and answered questions with no hard sell, and offered opinions about a damaged tree we have. He really did seem knowledgeable about the many types of trees in my yard. He also was informative about trimming regulations in the County. His estimate came quickly via email. We waited a little for service, but this was because there were lightning storms for about ten days straight and then I went out of town. When I returned, the Company set up a service date very quickly. I felt the line of communication was excellent via both email and phone. Zach and his crew came promptly on the service date and reviewed the work we had contracted. I also requested some additional trees be trimmed and Zach graciously agreed to the changes, answering questions and offering ideas which I welcomed. He communicated with his office and gave us an estimate for the time of the last-minute work additions I requested. Zach accurately reflected our wishes to his crew, because all our instructions were followed to the letter. Zach consulted me when there were different options for trimming one problem tree in our yard. The crew had the appropriate equipment for the different types and sizes of trees on our property. They were efficient and professional, and operated with safety in mind. They were respectful of our privacy and property and our yard looked clean and tidy when they left. The trees were very attractively trimmed and all cuttings were gone. I think our trees are healthier and safer as a result of this work done today. We have used Sherlock Tree Company several times previously, and we will continue to use them in the future. I recommend this company highly.

Despite being one town over, he said I wouldn't like the estimate he would give me. I got the impression he didn't want to do the job: pruning my two palm trees.

It when well. Mr. Sherlock is very informed on trees and there growth patters. He also has a strong aesthetic for shaping trees.

Called for an estimate and did not receive a call back. How can a company be rated "A" when they don't even return phone calls?

My neighbor had previously hired Sherlock Tree Service and was completely satisfied. He recommended the company to me. I called and Mr. Sherlock came the next day to give me an estimate, He explained what I needed done was a relatively small job but If I did not mind waiting a few days, he had a client in my area that was scheduled for service and my trees could be taken care of that same day. This was no problem for me and I appreciated the promptness of Mr, Sherlock coming over to handle the estimate, He also gave me some good advice in regards to the care of another tree in my yard. I came home from work a few days later my, trees had been taken care and Mr. Sherlock mailed me a bill a few days later that I was happy to pay, The whole experience was courteous, professional, prompt , honest and friendly.

Jim Sherlock came the next day with 2 helpers and did all the work I contracted for,cleaned up the yard and left everything very neat. I couldn't ask for more!

Mr. Sherlock did an excellent job. He is A+++ in every respect. I have used him for years and have always found him to be most professional, fair in his pricing and an artist in his field.

They were on Angie's List. They were excellent. They charged me $1000 and I have about 20 trees. I have bushes too. Some of the trees are large palms. They were very efficient and they did what they said they were going to do. I was very satisfied. They were pretty good about the cleanup and made sure that they cleaned everything. Their price was fair. I negotiated with the guy and he came down. I thought it was a fair price compared to what I have paid before.

i found Sherlock Tree from Angies List. I sent them an email and they promptly called me the next day. The owner Jim, came to the house and gave us a free estimate. We scheduled them to perform the work and they actually showed up 30 min early! They were so careful when cutting the huge tree in front of my home. They shaped the tree perfectly and it looks great. You can tell that the owner (who did most of the trimming) loves his work and really knows trees. After finishing the front tree I asked them to look at several other sad looking trees in my yard, we cam to the conclusion that they had to be removed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a tree expert.

Very professional and responsive. We ended up using someone else who had a better price, but this company is not out of line or unreasonable in price. Would consider them again.

Outstanding experience all the way around. Jim Sherlock came to give us a quote on trimming a neighbor's Live Oak. We talked about options and county regulations - what he could and could not do regarding the tree. Impressed with his reputation, knowledge and good nature, we hired him on the spot. A few days later Jim and his crew arrived to trim the tree. They were quick, efficient and extremely careful. After they were finished they did an excellent job cleaning up. You could not even tell they had been here. The tree is beautiful. It looks natural and healthy. We would absolutely hire Sherlock Tree Company again, and recommend you do the same.

I met Jim from Angie's List, read his reviews, sent an email only, received a call the next day at 8:02 AM, arranged a meeting the next day, received a written estimate, and approved the work to start the following Monday. Professionally cut and cleaned site.

I received an estimate within one week of contacting the company. I called to schedule the trim and they performed the service within 3 days of the call. They contacted me before their arrival and met my schedule needs. The trees look great. This is the second year I have used this company for my annual tree trim. They do a good job and clean up after their work.
