Scott Malone did most of the footwork and he is a great spokesperson for the company! Very professional, very knowledgeable and a kind person.

Work was done in a timely manner, once started the flow of work went well. Cleanup was appropriately done. I thought the cost was fair. Communication during the process could have been better. Thank goodness for the girls in the main office for answering me about the various stages. I would recommend their service.

I called and they would not call back, they did a horrible job cleaning up. Broke a light and didn't replace it. Asked for extra work that I would pay them for and they didn't do it.

The guys on the job were quick and removed the old Roof and installed a new hot mop roof very quickly. And cleaned up my front yard. They actually got the whole project finished in one day. My only issue they tried to charge me a lot of extra money for wood that was supposed to be included but It was ultimately taken care of.. Overall good experience

Safeguard was recommended by a coworker and they didn t let me down. This company met every deadline they promised. The price was very reasonable. The staff was amazing! From the beginning, Scott, the ops manager delivered incredible customer service, answering each and everyone of my questions and concerns. Every single step was communicated by phone and email. The girls in the office (Leiann, Sara, Alex, Sam) also kept me informed every step of the way. The contractors kept my property clean and debris free during entire process. Finally, John was also instrumental in making sure roof was completed and my roof looks amazing. Thank you all so much!

I was very pleased with Safeguard Roofing. Jay K. and John Williams were very professional and patient through out the entire project. Also the staff in the office were helpful and professional.

I shopped around for several quotes, researched several online consumer websites as I needed to replace my tile roof. Not only was I looking for a good deal, I was looking for a reliable company that has been around and hopefully will stay around a while. Safegaurd was the 3rd or 4th quote that I received which was less then previous quotes which made me skeptical. The most notable concern that i saw from previous clients on homeadvisor, angies list' etc. was that the grounds around the homes were left a mess after the got done work. I figured if that was the least of my issues I could work with that. I then called the county and city building depts. to see if there were any known issues, verified they have been in existence for the time stated and ultimately agreed to hire them. My sales person Jay was great, checked in throughout the re-roof. The crew that worked on my house was excellent, they came on time each day, dropped tarps all around be for working, did an excellent job cleaning up and more importantly were very respectable to my neighbors. The ONLY issue I had was, I was told 6 pieces of plywood were replaced on my house when in fact I knew only 2.5 pieces were as I periodically went on the roof to inspect the work through each phase, photograph and bring food and snacks to the crew. My contract covered up to 3 pieces anything over was extra. After a short debate and presenting photos, safeguard stated my "file" was crossed w/ someone else and only 3 pieces of ply wood was replaced. I wasn't surprised by this, actually kind of expected it as i heard it is the norm in the industry to drive profits. Despite the minor hiccup, i have recommended them several times over and plan to use them in the future if I were to purchase another home in need of a roof. I highly recommend this company and highly recommend you do you homework prior to signing any contract for any major construction project such as a re-roof. I also highly recommend that you ask for any work with Jay.

Excellent communication between myself and the salesperson. The workers stayed on task and clean up after themselves. Everything was done in a short time. I will recommend this company to anyone who need roofing.

Excellent customer service from beginning to end. Jay kept me informed through the entire process as I was out of town during the entire re-roofing process. They did an outstanding job at a very reasonable price. I would choose them again in the future if needed.

They were fast for each stage of the roof replacement, typically getting each stage done in a day or two as soon as materials were available and inspections passing. They also worked with my insurance company patiently waiting for payments to be distributed.

Mgr John was excellent, organized, and highly efficient. Crews were totally professional during install AND cleanup. Roof looks amazing! Since our first meeting with mgr John our experience with Safeguard has been excellent. Highly recommend their work.

In the end, it appears that Safeguard Roofing put on good roof but BEFORE YOU HIRE THEM, READ THIS REVIEW! I signed the contract with them in early December of 2018. The job did not get completed until July of 2019 (8 months). When I picked the tile from the catalog they showed me just before I signed the contract, I asked if they had that tile in stock and I was told **Yes** Postmortem, they claimed that the job took so long because they could not get the tile. Their initial contract came in at what I thought was a reasonable price but the contract only covered 100 square feet of ***new wood** (I should have negotiated better). So, I ended up paying another $1,850 for plywood and fascia. Considering that a 4x8 piece of plywood costs about $35-$40 a sheet (retail) at a famous home repair and appliance store, what Safeguard charged was ridiculous. Additionally, when they replaced some fascia, they left spaces between the soffit vents and the new fascia. In one area, I had to pay an additional $250.00 for a contractor to fill in those spaces (about 20 feet up) which we agreed to deduct from the final bill. Safeguard felt that was not their responsibility and acted like they were doing me a favor. Also, when one of their contractors delivered the tar/asphalt and tar paper they used a truck which had an extendable conveyor belt which they positioned right on the front gutter of the house which, of course, bent that gutter. The same contractor that I paid to fill in the spaces between the soffit vents and fascia tried bending it back but I am going to have to replace it. Again, Safeguard does not feel that it is their responsibility. Also, Safeguard uses different subcontractors for each phase of the job - one group to remove the existing tile and strip the roof, another group to replace wood and fascia, another group to apply the first layer of tar paper, another group to hot mop, etc. If you do not speak Spanish fluently, you will have trouble communicating with any of the subcontractors they use. And most of the time you do not know when someone is coming. There were times I would suddenly hear guys up on the roof at 7:00 at night who showed up to fix something before the local inspector was scheduled as a certain phase of the job was completed. At this point, I can only hope that they did a good job re-roofing the house but only time will tell. The original contract price was for about $24,000 - by the time they were done 7 or 8 months later, I paid close to $27,000 and I still have to replace that bent gutter and repair two more soffit vents. Once they got my final payment, they said they were going to send me Warranty papers - I am not holding my breath.

I am over joyed deciding to hire Safeguard Roofing. I really felt they went the extra mile for me. That means a lot to me. My roof is done and looks great. Many neighbors have also used them or are currently in the process.
