Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I called at 8:30 AM. They sent someone at 9:30! Rep opened both cleanouts - both were filled w/water. He snaked lines. There was a plug apparently right where the outside line hooks up to the main (underground). He also said NEVER put cat litter down drain. Anyway he solved problem - $347.

Way beyond expectations. Customer services reps especially Linda were very professional. Every effort was made to accommodate my schedule. Tech has the knowledge, sills, and abilities necessary to quickly and thoroughly repair problems.

Called on Father's Day., a Sunday, and Technician Alex responded to my house within 30 minutes. My father and I were attempting to change my kitchen faucet and caused a major leak under the sink. Alex fixed the leak and said the valve was broken. He have me a quote before he did any work and went and bought all the parts he needed. He came back, changed the valve, changed my faucet, and checked my hot water tank because I thought it was dying. Alex was amazing from start to finish. He worked really hard, was professional and extremely knowledgable at his job. He charged me $260 for everything, parts and labor and responding on a weekend. Not a bad price for a plumber that was at my house for a little over 2 hours. Great experience. I will keep them on my go to list.

Company was very responsive and showed up on-time. I was very concerned over having this repair done, as the condo unit with the clog was recently and extensively renovated. The technician was patience, courteous, very respectful and took great care to keep the mess to an absolute minimum. The obstruction was so deep (25 feet from the wax seal) that the toilet in the freshly tiled bathroom had to be removed and replaced. In the end, this was a tough job that took well over an hour, and the end result was a free flowing drain with minimal, if any, mess. A little on the pricey side, but well worth it in my opinion as the technician knew what he was doing and once they were done, you could not tell they were there.

We originally had an appointment for May 5 with Rotorooter. They promised we would see them between 9am-1pm. At 10:30 they called and stated the plumber was having difficulty with a call and wouldn't be available until 1-3pm. At 3 pm with no plumber in sight, we called and were told that all techs were busy and it would be even later. They couldn't guarantee anyone before 5pm! After waiting at home all day, off work, for an appointment that never happened, my husband was fed up and called a different company.

Upon contating the manager who subsequently apologzed our warter was restored however we had to contact miami dade warter and sewer in order ti get our presure back!

We discovered around 8pm that the pipe bringing water into our house was broken by a tree root. We called Roto-Rooter and they offered to send someone out for an estimate. The plumber arrived within an hour, and we were fine with the estimate, so he started working on the pipe. The price was the same for after-hours work as it was for daytime work, which was different from other places we called. He had to run out once for a part, but otherwise he got the work done fairly quickly. We were pleased with the result (running water in our house again!), and if we had an after-hours emergency we would definitely call them again.

All went very well

I called the main number at 8am, and the guys were dispatched immediately to my house. We were not able to use the shower or the toilets, as everything was backed up. The guys (Artie and his partner) showed up right on time, and were VERY professional, knowledgeable, very neat and friendly. I was so worried this was going to be something major, but they assured me that it would be nothing to worry about. The job went so smooth and so fast, I was very impressed! They answered all of my questions, and kept everything organized and neat while they were working - everything on towels and mats. 100% I would use them again, and I would recommend to my friends who need a plumbing service.

One night, my toilet exploded and started shooting a huge stream of water all over the bathroom. I called Roto-Rooter and then sent a man out within the hour. He turned the water off, fixed the broken piece and only charged me the regular price, no extra charge for late at night. Excellent price and excellent service.

Very impressed. Called Thursday morning and plumber arrived that afternoon - I've scored a C for punctuality because he arrived 2 hours later than originally indicated, but to be fair the company did keep me updated. I asked him to source the materials - by 2pm the next the installation was complete and they really had taken care not to damage the surrounding decoration. Would definitely use again.

The technician was very professional and patient in completing his work. The only downside to the event was that the dispatcher had told me that the tech would be calling between 10:00 and 2:00. The tech did not show up about 3:15. But, again I enjoyed the professionalism on the job.

We called Roto-Rooter on Friday morning to service a clogged toilet in the main bathroom. The initial contact with the dispatcher was pleasant. The plumber called us within 30 mins. of the initial call to confirm arrival. He arrived within the time frame he said he would. He accurately diagnosed the problem and cleared the clog which got the toilet working again. He replaced a toilet part that wasn't working which has made the toilet flush response up-to-par and smoother than before.

It was too expensive so I didn’t use them. They were very nice in giving me the quote and everything. They came fast. They were very understanding. They were very professional. Inside the house, they wore shoes. I would use them in the future depending on the pricing.

We have a duplex and was expecting guests on a Sunday afternoon about 3. While cleaning, we notice 2 kitchen drains backed up. We called and were told that they would be there in an hour. Soon after that they called again to let us know it would be a bit more time, which was very courteous. Arnulfo arrived and snaked out the line and cleared the problem and let us know how to prevent it in the future. We were very happy with the communication, the prompt service, the Angies list priority and the fact that all was taken care of prior to the arrival of our guests at 7:30pm. Great job!

Pumped successfully, toilets now flush normally

Service was good and they came out only hours after my call. The technician was very good and told me how to prevent the problem from happening again. The cost was a little high but the job got done.

I had a leak and Roto-Rooter Plumbers came out on a Sunday, it tripled the price because it was an emergency. I was changing a cartridge in the faucet. I turned off the water to install the new cartridge and then when I turned it back on after I installed it the emergency valve started leaking. It was pouring. I emptied three buckets in an hour. He put in new angle stops in everything that was green. What he didn't tell me is that I had to change the entire faucet. The reason I had to change the faucet and he didn't advise me about it was I would have went out and did it. The old faucets, the supply line is the old copper pipes. He didn't tell me that putting in the new angle stops wouldn't work without putting in a new faucet, so it was still leaking when he put them in. I called Roto-Rooter and talked to their manager. I called three times. They sent him back out, and when they sent him back out initially he installed my new faucet. I happened to have a faucet on hand so he installed it for only $100. That was an incredible price. The reason he had to come back out was because he did it wrong to begin with so I got on the phone and the manager took off $100. That's why I like corporations, they are usually easier to deal with and nicer to work with. Roto-Rooter as a company was very professional, but they charged an arm and a leg. But I got the whole thing, I got the angle stops and the faucet all done. When you look at it retrospectively $300 was a good price because plumbers are very expensive. I am going to be getting all new faucets installed in all of my rooms so when I do it I'm going to get all the angle stops because it's worth it. When I get new plumbing then I don't have to look at some plumbing disaster down the road. To actually install the angle stops it took an hour, but to try to sit the existing faucet is what took too long. As far as I'm concerned $300 is way too much for angle stops. But yet it was an emergency call. Even when I called other plumbers they charge a lot for emergency call. Getting the back up from corporate means a lot to me so I might use them again, since I know they will stand behind their work.

Terrible. Had used them about every three years to do preventative line cleaning. Old ownership very responsive and quality oriented, New ownership obviously has less quality motivation. Brought them in to investigate a leak under the master bathroom floor. They used their camera in all the sewer lines in the house but could not find the break; but they surmised there must be one due to water coming up in floor. They recommended water-jetting the pipes and I paid $1200 for that service. Two months later we had to have them back. And then a month later, back again to deal with clogged sewer lines ... always at $295 a pop. Now, 45 days after their last service we had the same problem again. They would not warranty their previous work, stating that my wife and I obviously put something down the toilets that caused the clog. Not the case, unless toilet paper and the usual ____are not allowed/ They wanted another $295 or they would walk away. I refuse to put good money after bad for ineffective work and an unwillingness to back up their work. I will spend the money with someone else to get it done correctly.

Because the price was not suitable for the type of job to be done, we went with a private licensed vendor in the area.

THe plumber is Mike Story and his helper is Mike or Miguel Hernandez. They fixed the problem and advised me to contact the insurance company which was the correct recommendation so as to get a mold evaluation done and to start to dry up the problem right away. I was extremely satisfied. I have used Roto Rooter for 30 years with good success, but better with Mike!

I made the appointment request on their website, within 10 minutes we had received a phone call and confirmation for an appointment the next morning. The plumber, Andrew was on time, we had originally asked him to fix leaking bathroom faucets and to install a toilet, we decided to wait on the toilet, and he was able to fix 3 out of the 4 faucets. They are original dating back close to 40 years old.

My utility bill for water and sewer was 3x as high as normal. I called my utility company and they told me to have a plumber come out to see if there was a leak. I had made an appointment for a technician to come out and after 1 hour and 30 minutes of wating (within the 2 hour time frame of when they were to arrive ) I got a call canceling the appointment becuase "the tech's equimpment to detect leaks was broken". I re-scheduled and the next day a technician came to the house. After about 5 minutes, he said he did not think there was a leak and wanted to see the last few months' utility bills to see the actual meter readings. I scheduled another appointment for the following Saturday so I would have the utilitiy bills available. This next appointment was scheduled between 2-4pm on Saturday. At 3:30pm on SaturdayI received a call canceling the appoinment with no explanation. This company had me wait for three appointments, canceled two, and the issue is still not resolved.
