Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I called them and asked if they do dishwashers and they said they need. He came out the same night, which was impressive. But the guy who came out could care less about doing any work and just didn't want to be there. He came in and the first thing he said was that they don't do dishwashers. He asked what was wrong with it and I told him and he said I needed a new dishwasher. He didn't do anything. I asked him to install a water purifier instead and he just didn't want to work. He took it out of the box and was looking at it. I asked if he would like the directions. He said it needed parts. It said on the box that it's complete. He said he was going to get the part and come back tomorrow. He never showed up the next day. I ended up installing it myself, with the parts that were already in the box. The person on the phone was real nice and she scheduled it very quickly.

I called late last night. Scheduled appointment for today. Tech showed up during specified time frame. Explained the nature of the work. I had a warped pipe due to prior owner neglect. The pipe was replaced quickly and does not leak. The tech explained another leak coming from the seal around sink, that we have to repair, and that (2) shut off vavles leak when they are turned off. The valves are expensive to replace and involve breaking the wall so we opted not to do them now. He suggested a seal we can find at home depot until we repair the valves. The technician was polite, professional, and very helpful. We received a discount as Angie's list member. The prices are high, but the tech was out in less than 12 hours from my call and the work completed quickly and efficiently. Will use again because of the Angie's List discount.

I called for a plumber, he fixed my sink and all was well. Very nice service Would reccomend.

polite, punctual, and made a few attempts to open clan out but claimed unable to open. my handy man had it opened and pumping out within 5 minutes without a scratch.

They said that they couldn't get to the control valve by removing the handle like I told them the last plumber told me. They also said that no parts places were open and they couldn't get what they needed, even though the hardware store carries the same assembly and handle that I have. They wanted $500 to go through the ceramic tile wall to fix it, so I told them no. Another company came out and charged me less than half what they wanted to replace the valve within the handle, like Roto-Rooter should have. I would never use them again.

My toilet flange was rusted completely causing water to leak with it was flushed. Oscar cut out the rusted flange and replaced it with a new one. Since the bathroom floor was tile, he had limited space to make his cuts without damaging the the floor tile. He did a great job and the whole thing looks like it never happened.

Everything went well. Plumber was nice and professional. Would call again. Maybe a little more expensive than an independent worker, but the work gets done right.

Our kitchen sink/disposal became clogged late at night. I went to their mobile site, was able to schedule an appt for early the next morning.quickly and easily.They called well in advance and the service tech (Demetrios) came exactly when they said he would. He explained everything thoroughly, was able to fix the issue in timely manner and was extremely courteous. The price was more than I expected but given how responsive they were and how quickly they fixed the issue, it was well worth it. Will definitely call them again (love that they have 24/7 service as well).

We had a great technician come out to our home (I'm sorry that I don't remember his name. My husband had most of the initial contact.) He was clean and tidy. I have been having issues with the plumbing in this house since I moved in 2 years ago as a renter. I ended up buying the house, knowing that the toilet in the master bathroom was a bit slow, and I intended to get to the bottom of the issue, only it backed up finally before I could. The house came with a contract from a certain Service provider, and I had called them out in November about the toilet, but they first pulled off the other toilet and then said it was the city's problem. The city came out and said call a plumber. $250 later I still had a slow toilet that would only go down when plunged. So then Thursday night the toilet clogged and when I plunged it, it backed up into the shower. I had the "other service" come out and they charged me $175 and by Friday it was clogged again. Finally I called Roto-Rooter and they sent someone out Saturday night. He could immediately tell that we needed to send a camera down there to see what the issue was, only his camera was in the shop. He set up an appointment for me for the next day. Today, Alisa and Aubrey came out and they were on top of the situation within minutes. They were able to confirm there were no cracked pipes or tree roots, and that the source of the problem was 30 years of grease and build up in the lines that had essentially backed up everything upstream of the blockage. The solution will be to have the piped pressure jetted to blast out all of that yucky stuff from decades of renters who probably never did any preventative treatments on the pipes. Alisa recommended some special fluid designed to break down fats and grease, so that once I get the pipes back in order, I can prevent future issues. They were careful with my carpets and cleaned up everything after the job, and they were great at explaining the issue and my options. After the service that I got from some "other" companies I was very impressed by the professionalism of Roto-Rooter's technicians and I was very happy with the ease of scheduling and the no extra charge for nights, weekends or holidays, because that is ALWAYS when stuff happens! Alexander came to our rescue using the camera. We discovered an amazing obstruction of dental floss in the main line. He knocked himself out to clean out our line and take care of the problem. Alexander was extremely professional. He had a great sense of humor which you probably need on this kind of job. Roto Rooter stood behind their guarantee. We probably had had this problem for many years. I learned a lot that day! Thank you Alexander!

It went great. The kitchen sink no longer backs up into the shower. I was hoping they would a camera to see what is going on down there but they didn't have one on the truck. They said if it happens again within the 6 month warranty period they will bring the camera for an extra $150. If it happens again I will have them perform that service to see what the issue is.

I saw them on undercover boss acting professional, knowledgeable and willing to work with the home owner on pricing. It appeared they finished the job correctly. In my experience it was the opposite. They snaked the toilet for forty seconds and was trying to charge me $350.00 dollars. I then ordered them to leave after that. At that point they reduced the price to clean the pipes to $180.00 dollars and also said I needed a septic tank drain field costing me $3000.00 dollars. They sent a camera down my pipes to make sure they were cleaned and they said they were. Two days later my toilet clogged again. They were needing a ladder and asked me if I had one. They did not have one of their own. The service men the second time acted with the attitude as if he was talking to a child abuser. He was so nasty and rude. I called a second company and they said the pipes had not been clean. The second company did a perfect job. Roto rooter never opened the septic tank to determine if the drain fields needed done. The second company opened up the septic tank and the drain fields needed done. The second company did the drain fields for $1800.00 less then roto rooter. As roto rooter is an interstate organization it should be investigated by the FBI or other federal agency. You don't need a gun to rob people.
