Ralph Tardy

I have used Ralph many times before, but didn't realize he was on Angie's list. I have used him principally for issues with my waterbeds. He is extremely skilled in all aspects of waterbeds. He has moved mine from one house to the other, repaired leaks made from cat claws, set up new ones, and replaced mattresses. Thursday I noticed what appeared to be a seam leak in my mattress when I finally decided to wash my sheets. I called Ralph right away. I had called his home phone, so he called as soon as he got home. We discussed what to do and when. At first he was going to come on Saturday, but he called Friday morning saying he was able to get time off from work, so he could come then. He spent most of the day devoted to me, but actually got to my house around 4 with the mattress. Because I wanted to save money, I did not replace my mattress cover, but discovered, too late, how much wetter everything was when he drained the mattress. The leak had apparently been going on for some time. But he still did the ghastly job of cleaning out my current mattress cover so it could take the new mattress. He had warned me about this and asked if I wanted him to get a new cover, but I still declined. After all was cleaned as much as possible, he filled the new mattress and zipped the mattress cover. Last night I slept very well! He does do handyman work, which I'm sure he does well, but I know first hand how great he is with waterbeds!

I found Ralph from a GPS search on my phone for waterbeds and called him to see if he would be able to help with the waterbed. He was able to come the same day, called when he was leaving to give me a more accurate arrival time and showed up as expected. He took care of the waterbed very quickly, and helped to move it to the garage when emptied. He told me he does handyman services as a primary business, as waterbed services demands are down. I had him fix my ceiling fan/light which was not working. The waterbed service was $100 and the fan was $50 - both within reason and worth the service he provided.
