Natural Wonders Landscape Design

Excellent. Santos came to our house to find out what we needed. He developed a design for our rock garden and pathway, as well as the other items that required doing. Santos is the overall project supervisor and manager. He gave us a very reasonable quote. Elias was the field supervisor who worked with an excellent crew to construct our projects. These workers were very neat and clearly knew what they were doing. In summary, working with this company was a very pleasant experience.

Jim Brunner, the owner of Natural Wonders came out to our home, listened to what we wanted to have done, we gave him our budget and then he asked a ton of questions: What colors do you like? What flowers do you love/hate? Are you happy with this tree? He brought us a book showing photos of his work as well as different stones, rocks, plants, trees, flowers etc to give us a feel for what he does. He explained to us that he is a trained landscape engineer which means he understands what pitch the landscape needs to be at, what plants thrive in which lighting and soil conditions etc. He drew up a plan which included removing two large trees and replacing with 2 Sylvester palms, planting beautiful, colorful flowering and non-flowering plants, re-sodding, putting down rocks of multiple colors, building a couple of small natural shale decorative retainer walls and lighting. He quoted us our price (which was in line with others since we gave our budget up front) but we felt most comfortable working with Natural Wonders as we knew where his place was and trusted that the people working for Jim were his actual employees and not sub contractors. Natural Wonders submitted the plans to our hoa for approval and once approvals received, they got to work. The work took about a week. The workers were extremely neat and organized. The finished work is beautiful. JIm was on site daily and is still available via cell phone whenever we have questions. I would recommend this company to anyone.

They arrived on time and proceeded with the task immediately. Took only a couple of hours. I think the price was a bit high for the amount of work performed. I was happy with the results.

The design and the uniqueness of the plans were admirable. The project turned out of to be very pleasing to the eye. What bothered me was the owner didn't follow my instructions to put the sprinklers on the ground and install soakers because of rust being in the water. This cost me a considerable amount of money. After the project completion, the sprinklers turned a lot of my nice stone ugly colors and I had to spend money to replace them. I also asked the owner to lay a plastic mesh on the ground before putting on rock because of the weeds. He told me that wasn't necessary. That was not true. I have a lot of weeds I have to spray on a continuous basis and it's very inconvenient for me. However, the manager, Rick, was very caring, knowledgable and easy to work with.

Daniel—the landscape designer we worked with—really listened to what we wanted, then made suggestions on how we might achieve it. Advised us on best plants for us, then provided healthy specimens. The handworking crew planted and mulched a beautiful 100-ft long hedge, removing grass and old bushes that needed to go. The hedge is the first part of our ongoing landscaping project. We'll be using this company for everything. We are thrilled with every aspect of our experience and looking forward to working with them more.

The total job took about 2 weeks (as promised), the crews arrived early everyday and worked until 4 or 5 o'clock. Carlos (the paver/stone contractor) was responsive and helpful. Jim (the landscape architect) had great ideas and didn't nickel and dime us when we requested changes or additional work. I gave a 'B' on price only because I went way over my original budget, but the work and results were well worth it. Even our house painter from another company who saw the house before and after the work was done commented on how beautiful the work was. My wife and I whole heartedly have and will recommend this company to others.

We changed our mind and decided not to do the work, we told them so. They had NOT use the deposit to purchase any materials as we had nor decided what exactly to do. They now refuse to refund the deposit!!! We are out $1000. We could take them to small claims court but not worth the trouble. Never use these guys!

They totally redid the area and created a zen like, oriental style, atmosphere that I requested. They use very unusual plants and materials and used great imagination in design. They were very responsive to my requests.
