National Brick Pavers

We hired National Brick to do new pavers in our driveway. The owner Dave came to our house and was professional and offered great ideas and solutions. The work was completed in a timely fashion and there was always communication. His crew is fantastic they are fast, efficient and meticulous. They take real pride in their work. They always clean up after each day and are courteous. We LOVED our driveway so much we hired them again 4 weeks later to redo our pool patio & pool. This time we selected travertine. Again the project was stellar. The travertine looks amazing! They installed new pool skimmer tile, and managed the resurfacing/diamond brite portion as well. We could not be happier. I highly recommend National Brick!

From start to finish the job went great! Dave is very professional to work with. He understood what my goal was and helped my accomplish it in the best, most economical manner. Couldn't have gone better.

The quality of the work was excellent. They have real craftsmen working for them. More importantly when I needed them to come back for a few items they were there immediately. Services was excellent. Sometimes they did get behind schedule but they were worth waiting for. I highly recommend them

Everything went very well throughout the project other than mother nature playing her part. But as soon as the weather broke they were right back at it.

Our contract was signed in October of 2015. We worked with David McHenry who introduced himself to us as the co-owner and founder of the company. National Brick Pavers had worked on our neighbors driveway and paths. That job went well and looked good. We felt comfortable with the work that we saw done there and the "A" rating on Angie's List. Mr. McHenry was personable and knew his product. Three months later the work was initiated. We were given a myriad of excuses as to the late starting date. We allowed for heavy rains, however, there were many periods of dry weather over this time frame when National Brick Pavers could have begun our job. Finally, in the middle of January the work was begun. Permits were obtained from the city, BUT no call was made to 811. As a result, our cable was cut the first day of excavation and the check valve on our irrigation well was broken. Needless to say, this wasted over half a day before the work could continue. The crew worked over a period of several days and left, saying it was completed. The front path to our front door was laid over the existing concrete and this resulted in a drop-off of 8 inches to the grass which was an extreme hazard. The city came for the final inspection and would not sign off on the job because of the lack of a berm and sod next to the driveway and path. We made numerous calls to National Brick Pavers, leaving messages at both the office and David McHenry's phone. After being told that the permit had been signed off, which we later learned was not true, we were finally told that David McHenry had left both the company and the country. David Gordon finally came over to look at our job. We presented him with a list containing at least 14 grievances. He refused to take the list and did not want to even discuss it. Finally, he had a subcontractor lay sod. This man covered all of our irrigation sprinklers with sand, dirt and sod. The permit was signed off on. David Gordon had a person come over to fix the irrigation issues and said that he would have the crew come back to complete the side path. We are still waiting.....5 months so far!! Stay away from this company!!

Eduardo E. came to my place to provide an estimate. Since this is the first quote I am receiving for such job, I cannot comment on the price yet. I will update my review once I have received multiple quotes, and the quality of the work should I decide to work with this company.

The price was good compared to others because they said they could put the new driveway over the old asphalt. The other companies didn't want to do that so time will tell if we made the right decision because that's the way we had it done. (1) Dave said the job would take 2-3 weeks once they began. We signed the contract in April. They started Sept. 2 and finished the end of October. The delays were explained as some of the pavers delivered were the wrong ones. There were days when no one showed up to work. (2) We had chosen a design with a white square featured every so often but after they were at least a third of the way done, we realized they had forgotten to use the pattern we selected. We didn't make them tear up and start again, we just went with what they had installed. They were already behind schedule and we didn't want more delays. (3) The driveway they installed by the garage was slightly higher than the garage so when it rained the water flowed into the garage and the epoxy floor in the garage bubbled. We made them remove those pavers and re-install them so the water flowed away from the garage. Someone from the company should have checked that and not waited for me to see it and tell them. Summary: We have a very extensive driveway so I'm not surprised it took so long except for the fact that Dave had said "2-3 weeks." Probably just a sales pitch but he should have been accurate. The finished driveway is beautiful but there is no excuse for the poor sloping of the driveway into the garage or for not using the pattern we selected.

Sales guy was very nice. They didn't recommend the service we wanted. We agreed but we're not in position to do recommended service.

We had our entryway and driveway paved. We had two meetings with Dave, he addressed all our concerns, walked us though the process, and delivered on all his promises. We are very happy with all the work that was done and will use them again.

They removed the old drive and steps leading to house. They leveled the area and installed new pavers for the drive, walkway to the house and small patio.

The only issue we had is that next time we will make sure we see design drawings prior to submitting for permit, they were a little different from what we told Dave we wanted (misunderstanding) and company showed up with permit on day of installation. They made some minor adjustments to make it closer to what we expected without argument. Joel and his crew were fantastic performimg installation. Total job took 4 days. Dave had a guy come in and acid wash the pool after installation was done. My wife and I are very pleased. Cleaning up concrete dust inside and out took us 4 days, it covers everything. Excellent quality and customer service.

Perfectly. Came when they said they would. I had to push their install date because of my pool folks. They were very accommodating and gracious. The guys doing the install were an amazing site. Craftsmen. Cleaned up the entire yard and made sure everything was prefect before they left.

I asked Chris to email me a proposal. Never heard back. Called him and the office numerous times.

The contractor removed the existing driveway in a very professional manner. The workmen were careful with our existing landscaping and removed all of the mess. The entire job was done in a timely and professional manner. The workmen were responsive to all of our requests and all of our phone calls received an immediate response. We are very pleased with the outcome and would certainly recommend Dave and National Brick Pavers to anyone considering the installation of brick pavers.

We met this company at the home show last year and hired them to build a 16' x 20' back patio. They were responsive all the way from the initial meeting, the estimate and the final product. I would highly recommend this company.

Dave Gordon, the owner of National Brick Pavers is FANTASTIC! He came to my wife and I as a referral from my parents who live in Coral Springs, Dave did their circular driveway and back patio. I cannot say enough about how incredible the overall experience was. The team that did the work were immaculate professionals, and I am EXTREMELY picky. They showed up on time every day, and consistently ensured that I was happy with all aspects of the work. Since our job was completed, I have referred National Brick Pavers to several neighbors and friends. Dave has completed work for all of them and they are equally as satisfied as I. I HIGHLY recommend National Brick Pavers.

In a nutshell I received quality work and quality service. The job looks absolutely spectacular and I am very happy with it.

After my phone call, Dave - the owner came out the next day to inspect. Within two days my patio was pressure cleaned and sealed. I have had my patio for over 12 years and didn't know I had to seal it. It now looks brand new. I would suggest this company to anyone.

The whole job went flawless. The crew arrived on time. When clearing the site they actually hand dug, due to sprinkler system and newly installed electric for lights. When we noticed that the paver patio was going to be lower than my neighbors yard, they installed a mini retaining wall (without extra charge). Though a small job, they were efficient and clean-up total area. I am so pleased with the patio, that sometimes I just peek out my window and look at it- because it is so beautiful

When we bought our home in 2002 we called 3 companies out to estimate replacing our chattahoochee with Chicago brick. All 3 companies insisted it couldn't be done with brick, and were unable to come up with a solution for bricking around the pool without damaging the pool itself. They instead, wanted to pour concrete making my backyard look like a street! Frustrated, I consulted with some friends who recommended Dave Gordon from National Brick Pavers. Dave came out on time and was professional, thorough and had a suggestion of using Columbian Brick, much cheaper and easier on the feet. His price was less than the concrete "street look" and included removal of the deck which other companies said we would be responsible for removing. We were so happy with National Brick Pavers that me hired them shortly after to remove the concrete driveway and lay the Columbian Brick. 12 years later the backyard and driveway still look as good as the day the brick was laid:) We recently hired them again to resurface the interior of our pool and have recommended them to several friends and clients of our own.

The workmanship and experience were not only excellent, but included several improvements that were not even contemplated. In addition, they removed the old transition to the garage and installed transition pavers in a manner that eliminated the original "bump" caused by a deteriorated metal strip. Afterwards, they restored the original landscaping and laid new sod where the original driveway had to be straightened. Our contact was Dave Gordon, who was timely, straightforward, and great to work with.

Dave Gordon is the reason why I joined Angie's List. Dishonest and endless aggravation regarding the contract, schedule and install, and damage to my irrigation system. I cannot recommend him. I was even yelled at over the phone. I initially tried to cancel this job and he refused to cancel and refund so I was stuck with him, or go to court. I should have went to court. It took over 3 months to install job which really only would take 1-2 weeks max, so every week I was left wondering, "when is it going to start?". Work was performed by subcontractors with little supervision. Excavator permanently damaged my irrigation well system and excavation was not supervised. No one called 811 before digging. Grass on the swale was permanantly damaged from pallets of bricks lying there for 3 weeks. Excavation dirt was not 100% removed. Quality of work by the mason Romwaldo was excellent and if I could recommend him independently I would. To this day my irrigation system still does not work correctly, and Mr. Gordon refused to pay for it to be fixed, pointing to some fine point in the contract.
