It went great.

At first everything went great- Karl was friendly and price was very fair. After just 13 months, we came to find out that Karl didn't really fix our roof properly, It leaked again, in the exact same spot, after just 13 months. It was the exact same spot because the original watermark was still there. Additionally, Karl, himself, admitted verbally TWICE it was the same leak and location. The leak following the original repair created huge water damage inside, because it happened during a very rainy week. We were under warranty, so Karl came twice to patch the problem during the rainy week so the water would stop pouring in. However, he patched it like play-doh, I thought it was temporarily because it was like a big blobby mass of compound OVER the tile. He then refused to put tile on top of it and when we tried to collect from him based on our warranty, he refused to honor it claiming it was a different leak. Not only had he verbally admitted TWICE that it was the same one leak but his actions following the second leak also corroborate this. I've had two roofers (who saw the original problem a year ago, but I didn't hire at the time) come back and confirm that it leaked again because he never really fixed the original problem the right way. The also confirmed that while the roof is not leaking at the time, the patch work that looks like playdoh on TOP of the tile is not the way it should have been done, let alone not the way I agreed to get it done the first time (and that was under warranty). We now have thousands of dollars worth of water damages because they didn't repair the roof correctly the first time. I know Karl will now argue to the end that it was a different leak but he told me twice it was the same one, his actions corroborate this and two impartial parties agree it was the same leak/spot.
