They did an awesome job!

Hartzell recently completed the repainting of all exterior areas of our entire 12-unit 4-story condominium building located in Hallandale Beach, and did a very professional and competent job at a very reasonable price. Our condo association, 2300 Diana Condo Association, Inc., was extremely satisfied with the beautiful and thorough job the company did. The work crew was thoughtful, courteous, friendly and competent to the point that we were very sad to see them go. Everyone associated with the job, from the President of the company, the job foreman and the individual painters understood that satisfying its customer was of the utmost importance and extended themselves above and beyond to achieve that goal. Hartzell truly understands the concept of customer service and the knowledge that it gained in more than 70 years in business was evident at every stage of the project. We highly recommend this company for your painting project.

They did a wonderful job. It was a difficult job and they managed to get everything done well. They were quiet and always on time. They just did very great work and I'm planning on getting an estimate from them to do interior painting.

Called Hartzell Painting to schedule appointment for quote to paint home. Lady that answered phone said someone would have to get back to me. I asked approximately how long it would be for someone to get back to me and she said 48 hours. No one called me back. I was at home several weeks later when the security gate guard called and said Hartzell Painting was here. I had never received a call back to schedule this appointment. I asked the sales representative why he was just showing up and was told he was in the area so he thought he would swing by. I asked him why no one from the office called to set up the appointment and he could not explain why. The sales person was pleasant ( and that is the only reason the overall rating for professionalism is a "C" overall ) The quote was received within a few days..The price was on the high side for bids received. I would not personally use. Got off to a bad start and did not have comfort level to go forward

The turnout is now acceptable though it has been a long struggle with a lot of do overs owning in large part to the unskilled/inexperienced crew of the sub contractor. I contracted with Hartzell as a result of their stellar reputation and superior ratings. I ended up with a subcontractor I could barely communicate with. Insofar as their attitude and willingness to please I would rate them A+. Nonetheless, they were very unorganized and lacked the critical eye for details and pride in their workmanship. If you are looking for superior turnout you will be disappointed. The crew failed to cover areas to be painted over carefully; the result -- my new carpets were stepped on and soiled. To be fair they did reimbursed me for the cost to have them dry cleaned but it's just not going to be the same. To add insult to injury, my impeccable convertible with less than 4,000 miles was hit while parked because they drove their service van backwards into it. I now have to get it repaired impairing its market value. I feel totally drained and cannot wait to have them out of my house. I escalated matters to Hartzell -- Carle their operations Director? promised to get back to me but never did. Their project management follow through has been a failure.

Truly these guys are amazing painters. We've had our house painted many times however never like this before. Outstanding and incredibly thorough work in every way. Highly recommend this company!

They specialize in painting the old house like Decp style. We had them paint then and they did a very good job. We had them ever since then and they have always been very good.

I spent $2000 on their services. The house is looking good. I will use their services again in the future. They were on time. Initially there was a response issue. They didn't return a few calls in the beginning but once they got out here, everything was fine.

The job was done promptly by a crew of two sufficient to the job who brought the necessary paint which was included in the price quoted: I didn't have to shop for paint myself. The crew did an excellent, thorough job and cleaned up well after themselves, leaving no masking tape fragments and virtually no splatter anywhere. They left the leftover paint for me - a relatively small amount indicating a good estimate of the total needed - so I have it for touch-ups in time to come. I was urged to call the company if I had any problem or question at all about the way the job was done. It wasn't necessary. I put down a deposit, was billed for the balance after the job was done, and I was happy to pay the balance due promptly. Hartzell stood by its estimate: there was no funny business with add-ons. Based on my experience this is a highly experienced professional organization that I can recommend without reservation.

they have been in business for a long time - reasonable prices and large crews, so jobs are completed in a timely manner.

While I am not sure that they were the best epoxy painters around, or even if the paint was epoxy, they were the only firm I could find that would attempt the job. We have a 20 year (at least) old industrial door on a super wide garage opening. The new code does not allow replacement of the door so this was our only option. They didn't really convince me that they were using epoxy and tried hard to assure me that regular paint would be fine. (Maybe it will) The overall look is MUCH better than it was, and I am grateful that they did it and don't have to tear down the door which was our other option.

One of my neighbors highly recommended this company. VP of Sales Hal Layne came to give an estimate. He was friendly and made some excellent suggestions. The estimate was, in my opinion, very fair. He then scheduled a painting supervisor to come by and look at the job. The team of three that did the work was very professional, friendly, and was very careful to do it right. The clean-up was terrific, and we're extremely satisfied with the work they did.

They were prompt, meticulous, cleaned up after themselves. I'm very satisfied.

The work was performed on time. We have several leaks on the roof that we have been trying to get fixed for 4 months now, since May 2006. The company has failed to respond and fix the repairs and we have subsequently suffered interior damage to our ceilings, walls, and custom cabinets. I would continue my relationship with this firm if they would be responsive.

THEY CAME TO PAINT THE HOUSE AND DO THE PRESSURE WASHING. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT. THEY TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM IN THE FUTURE.

THE COMPANY DID A WONDERFUL JOB ON THE PAINTING. THE ROOMS ARE CLEAN AND NEAT. THE PAINTERS DID A FANTASTIC JOB AND THEY USED A QUALITY PAINT ON THE WALLS.
