Gary the Plumber

Gary was excellent! We had tried someone else who did not fix the problem. Gary looked at each toilet, went to his truck, brought in the correct part needed and one by one all 4 toilets worked perfectly! We are extremely pleased and he came out the same day we called! Very professional and he definitely knows what he's doing!

Gary was prompt in responding to email request for service. He came on time and fixed the leak under the sink. We thought we had a leak behind the wall in garage but it was from the kitchen. He was honest and professional. We will use him again.

Easy to contact. Scheduled an appointment. Arrived on time and completed work as requested.

Called on Monday, came on Tuesday. (Apparently he is a busy guy, but I got lucky and he happened to have the next morning open.) He installed a new hot water heater and took out my old leaky one. Clean work and he installed a new shutoff since the old one didn't work. Not the cheapest in town, but very reasonable and did good work.

Gary was very good. You are dealing with the owner so you know you get the work done right and at a fair price. Would definitely recommend to use him.

Did a great job. Gary was punctual, he replaced the water heater in the morning and he cleaned up before he left. I would definitely call him again if I need a plumber.

After being turned down for the job by another local plumber who said he did not want to waste his time coming out to my house, whom I also found on Angie's List, I found Gary the Plumber. I called Gary and explained my main problem, which was the cartridge that needed replacing in one of my bathtubs. He told me to take a picture and send it to him. After I sent him the picture he told me he would be able to do the job. All this was on a Friday after 5pm. I was appreciative that he was still answering me after 5pm. I called him back on Tuesday, 2/6/14, to set up an appointment. He said that he could do the job the following day, but unfortunately, I was not going to be home till after 5pm. I told him that I would be home all day on Thursday and Friday (2/6/14 & 2/7/14). He said that he was going out of town on 2/6/14, but said he could do the job in the morning. Gary came by this morning, 2/6/14, and not only did he replace the cartridge but I also bugged him to change out some showerheads, arms, and spouts. He was very friendly and did a great job. Would recommend him to anyone, matter of fact, my parents might be giving him a call soon. Will definitely use again.

After he repaired the pipe, Gary put everything in order, the dirt and sand from the digging and the pavers back in place. We have been very impressed by the efficiency and the professionalism of Gary. We also are very grateful to his honesty and the fact that he never tried to take advantage of the situation as two other plumbers and "leaks detectors" team did, during the past two months, after we were alerted by the City that we could have a leak in our property. Not only they were unable to detect the leak, but they were paid for "repairs" at the wrong place and we received a second bill from the City showing that we still had the leak. We called a third plumber and he was talking about running a new line under our slab, that it could be a major job at the cost of $3,000 ! Finally, we called Gary the plumber and we could have our problem solved without being obliged to put our backyard up side down, and for the reasonable price of $420. THANK YOU, GARY....

Fantastic. I chose Gary from Angie List. Gary had to come out 2 times in the past month. The first time I need him to snake a couple of the drains in the bathrooms and the second time he came out because we were not getting hot water. The first visit was scheduled. The second time (no hot water) just happened to be on Saturday morning that was VERY cold outside. He showed up at my door in 15 minutes and was gone in a half hour. He was very polite, professional, and he knew his stuff. My too little kids liked him too. We will definitely use him again-hopefully not for a while though.

Easy to contact, arrange appointment. On time, got right to work, systematic and thorough. Reasonable cost, took credit card. Could not have gone better. He's our go to plumber from now on. Should be yours.

His prices are very reasonable. He was very pleasant and came out on time. No problems with his work and he cleaned up after the work was completed.

We had tried to remove our old kitchen faucet and install the new one we had purchased. We could not get the last nut/bolt off and decided to call about five emergency plumbing services. Gary was the only one who answered the phone himself, quoted us a very fair price of $180.00, and was at our house within the hour. He was done in less than 30 minutes and our new faucet is not only securely installed, but the water pressure is stronger than the last faucet and it works beautifully! We will definitely hire Gary the next time we need a plumber!!

He was on time and explained the who, what, where, when, and how much up front. I have referred him to a couple of other people in my building who were equally as pleased with him as I was!

Gary came the same day I called to install a new garbage disposal; he was personable, professional, and his fee was reasonable.

Nothing - Never used, never contacted the provider

My toilets were constantly running, flushing themselves and wasting water. If I attempted to turn off the water, the valves would drip on my floor. Gary came out within 2 hours of my call. He replaced the turn off valves and the interior workings of 2 toilets. Gary was very nice, did not mind my watching him and chatted with me the whole time he worked. He made a very stressful time for me into a pleasant experience. I would gladly welcome him back if I have further plumbing needs.

The Job was performed flawlessly. Gary made easy work of removing the old 3 cartridge system and then installed a new evergreen single cartridge system. Gary showed up on time. He gave me the different options. Such as keeping and fixing the old system, or the different types of new and easier to maintain systems. He even gave me some web sights to get new cartridges when the old on is finished. No mess was left after he finished. The system works perfectly and we have had no problems. While he was there I had some other questions about other issues in the house and he was happy to take the time and discuss my options with those things as well. I felt Gary was informative, and most importantly fair and honest. We will definitely use Gary the Plumber again.

Contacted Gary to explain type of work needed and to set up an appointment. He said he would call to set one up but never did.

Installed the above, had to call him back to fix faucet that leaked quite badly (one he had installed) As I looked @ the bill(arrival and departure times) I noted that they were "out of line". His comments were that he thought one thing, but wrote another. He stated that the billing amount was correct. He also advised me that if he stayed one minute over the next half hour, the customer had to pay for a full 1/2 hour ($60.00). What really bothered me was the fact that he made and received from within our house several phone calls while working on our bathroom. Needless to say, this time was NOT deducted from the overall time he spent. He went to his truck for several lengthy stays, even though all the needed components were supplied. Was he doing additional telephoning there? We called "The Plumber" based on his reviews on Angies List. However, I would not use him again! Nor would I recommend him to anyone else.

Gary was professional, friendly, and efficient. We will definitely be calling him again un the future.

The appoinment went very well. Gary arrived on time with a huge bag as well as a truck full of tools. He quickly assessed the situation and took time to explain and answer my questions. He is a friendly and knowledgeable and honest professional.

see above. It went great. Gary the Plumber was a pleasure to deal with. He was knowledgeable and informative. We were sorry we could not hire him to do the necessary work immediately but the condominium association has to complete their part of the work first. We will update the review if there is provision to do that when the work by Gary the Plumber is complete.

He was a busy man, I will definitely use him again if needed and will be glad to pass his phone number along to any who need a good, reliable plumber. He called before he came, arrived when he said he would, was neat, clean and professional. Went about his work in a quiet manner and everything was clean when he left!
