Florida Pool Heating

I highly recommend Florida Pool Heating. We had just moved into a house with a pool for the first time and didn't anything about how to use the heater or the pool pump. The two FPH associates who came to our house were very knowledgeable and took extra care to help us understand what was necessary in order to take care of our equipment.

They were very helpful on the phone and explained the differences in pump manufacturers and why one was a better idea than the other. The technician came out and completed the job in a torrential downpour. He was very helpful and gave me numberous tips on how to make th pool run better.

I looked in Angie's list for someone that would help me with my pool. I had a couple of people come for estimates and no one was convincingly knowledgeable. Once I contacted Dennis I have to say he treated me like a King. He's a great business man and SUPER PROFESSIONAL. He was the one most interested in, more than my business, helping me achieve my ultimate goal (even if it meant someone else getting the job). He called me frequently (sometimes twice a week) from the beginning. His business is centered in Ft. Lauderdale and contracted excellent and knowledgeable local pool technicians to look at my pool. They were very helpful.

They arrived on time and completed the work on schedule. The left the area they were working in in better shape than they found it. It was left clean and orginized. The costs were exactly as quoted, even though they needed to do a little more work than the original quote stated. Great company to do business with!

Excellent in every way. I've used them 3 times now, a I just moved into a house with an older pool. Every time, I'm scheduled within a day, and they can do the work while I'm at work, allowing me to pay by credit card over the phone. The first time, the repair on the solar heating panels was quick, but he noticed that the pump was leaking (which was on my homeowner's inspection report as well), so they priced on one, and came back and installed that on another visit. The 3rd time, I thought the pump was broken because I hadn't seen it working in two days, and after a visit by Florida Pool, sheepishly discovered that the pump was on a timer, from 9-4, when I'm at work, and everything was working fine. They weren't even going to charge me for the visit, but discovered that the manifold needed to be replaced, so I had them go ahead and replace that. I think they're incredibly honest and trustworthy, and am glad that I found them to help a floundering first time pool owner.

Flawless execution. Was able to arrange by phone, pat by phone. Work was done while I was at work.

overall I had a pleasant experience except after the price quote I was told the installation would be more due to an older outlet. He wanted to split the difference which I agreed to.

Everything went well. The pool water is warm and the panels don't leak. Very reliable people.

The diagnostic was quick and simple. Although we replaced a few parts before calling out to get the diagnostic done, it turned out to be a bad board. As I had done with the other parts, I went on line to find the best price. Dennis worked with me to even beat the price on the internet and deliver the parts to my house. Dennis even went so far as to try other options (including trying to swap out what i had for a new system). While that didn't end up working, I appreciated his willingness to work with me and the system is working now. Would call again.

I noticed that we had a leak coming from the solar panels on top of my roof, this company set up service least than 24 hrs and repaired the leak immediately. Very happy with the service from phone call in to the technician

The gentleman I talked to was very helpful. He explained the various types of pumps. I’ve had no problems with their work.

This pool pump first failed several months earlier, but mysteriously, when Florida Pool Heating came out with the pump to change it, it had come back to life so the changeout was unnecessary. They also at that time addressed a bad pool heater so they didn't go home emptyhanded. I was very pleased that Florida Pool Heating graciously restocked the pool pump and not charged me for the change or mysterious revival of the old pump. This time, when they arrived two days after my call to check it, it was still dead. The first trip was an inspection only. Then they ordered the pump and some time over the weekend while we were away, they came to replace the pool pump. As usual, they did a very good job. No muss, no fuss. The new pump is working flawlessly. A few points of note here: 1. Originally, when I provided them the pool pump information, they quoted me a price for replacement. Even though when they arrived here and realized the pump I had was a heavy duty pump and was powering a water feature, they graciously upgraded the pump and kept the price steady. Very nice service from Dennis. 2. When I called to have the pump replaced, they still kept the lower price they had quoted even though they had to restock it because I didn't need it. They came out and installed the heat pump within a very short duration of time. They were out in two days to install it. It took them about an hour or hour and a half to install it. When they were here they said that they needed more parts, the parts that they had not originally included in the quote which they gave to me free of charge. I was very happy with them. It's a nice heat pump. They did a perfect job installing it. It's the most efficient way to heat a pool.

I contacted Florida Pool Heating after reading postive reviews on Angie's list.After a scheduling delay due to the weather, they were able to come out a the next day and determine the problem, replace the fan motor and get the heater pump operational. If I have any trouble with my heater pump in the future, I will definatly give them a call.

If I could give this company a rating higher than "A" I would! To begin with the owner Dennis Olmezer called me within an hour of my leaving a message. (and I believe I called on the weekend). The next day a young gentleman came and completely checked out all systems. He gave me the same diagnosis as a previous company. The first company said it would cost $2,000 to repair and they would have to order the parts and also said that the current chlorinator was not large enough to handle the size of my pool and wanted me to upgrade. South Florida Pool Heating said the Auto Pilot I had was the correct size and I needed a new TriSensor and power cords. He showed me the corroded wires and explained the problem to me. Thinking it would now take considerable time to get and install the new parts, I was delighted when he said he had everything on his truck and could repair it right then. He did a fabulous job, was a delightful person and I'd have to say the most knowledgable pool person I've ever done business with. When asked about my Fiberstar lighting in the pool he said they didn't do that but would get me a referral. Several days later I received my Invoice and the name and phone number of the company to do those repairs. They even said to let them know if Idid not hear from them. This is an extremely well run company and a delight working with them. I won't feel anxious when the next pool problem arrises. I know who to call. Thank you FPH.

I contacted them for a FREE estimate, they were super nice and set me up an appointment, the rep Kevin came to my home. He was sooo knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. (He even sold us on a Salt Chlorine Generator, too.) After a little haggling we signed on the dotted line. Their crew showed up on time and did a great job and I could not be happier - Thanks so much!

We called them because our pool heater was not working. They told us that it needs to be replaced. It was 10 years old and all rusty. They gave us initial estimate and later offered an additional discount. It cost us $2300 and it was a very competitive price. They were professioinal and on time.

I have mixed feelings about them. I contacted two companies. They were cheaper and the unit seemed to be of higher quality. But, the man was very pushy, he was quick to point out the faults of others and presented less factual information. I think I should have chosen someone else. I chose them because of their Angie's List and BBB rating. After the installation I had air bubbles coming from the pool heater water return when I complained about it over the phone, they were very defensive, they stated my pool filter was going out, and that it was my fault. They did not want to come back to investigate, but I finally got them to do so. This is when they told me about my filter and pump going bad. They eventually came back again and found that I had leaks in the system on the roof. This corrected the problem, but they never followed up with me. They were very dismissive of my concerns.

It went flawlessly. They had performed the original installation 13 years ago, and provided an estimate over the phone very quickly. Their price was very competitive. They offered to inspect/repair our old heater and credit the service call cost toward a purchase if we chose to replace. I wanted a new heat pump so skipped the service call. Installation was scheduled very quickly (1 day after I had accepted their proposal), and was completed on time in a very professional manner. They took care of everything in their price, with no extras or unknowns from subcontractors or job site surprises. This included minor electrical work for existing circuit, a new pigtail, flow valve to flip heat pump temperature automatically to spa setting when the spa pump turns on, a check valve, taking away the old equipment and loading the pool with salt. The installer even re-plumbed some PVC so the spa would stay full after the spa pump is turned off -- something that bothered me for 9 years but didn't know it could be fixed. Payment was requested only after I was satisfied with the job. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.

I still need to get some quotes so I haven?t done the work yet. He offered to buy my current hot water heater from me or he could adapt my current tank. He was personable and I liked him.
