It was the most terrible experience I have ever had. After he came on site and looked at what needed to be done, he came inside and sat down on the kitchen table and proceeded to sell his company to me. I had to sit and listen to ten minutes of him boasting about the company and then he proceeded to show me a folder with all the installations done in my area. The reason I called the company out is to get a quote, I had already done my research before hand. Then he wrote up the quote on site while talking and overselling his company. I looked at the quote and told him that I would need to discuss it with my husband. He took back the written quote and wrote ?$100.00 deposit for installation next week?. Then he proceeded to sell me the idea of only putting down $100.00 deposit, which for me was no incentive. I told him that I would still have to consult with my husband. He again took back the written quote and wrote on the top ?do not deposit cheque unless approval is given?. He now tried to sell me the idea of giving him a cheque for $100.00 which he would put on hold and deposit only when I give him the approval to do so. At this point I got up off the table and told him that he was making me very uncomfortable in my own home and that he needed to leave. He tried to make a final pitch but I quickly escorted him out. Additionally, he had mentioned that he would not be able to install the heater in the concrete area that I had designated for my air conditioner units and the pool equipment as there was no room. However, having handled many residential projects in my lifetime and being the owner of six homes internationally I have learnt quite a bit. There was more than adequate room for a heater in the concrete area, but obviously it would be quicker to provide a cookie cutter solution to everyone?s home by dropping a fiberglass palette next to the concrete area and install the heater there. This was not only the lazy approach, but not a customer driven approach. Some words of advice having built two large corporations in my lifetime: Your business is about pleasing the customer not about making the sale. Too much of your energy was placed on closing the sale on that day and not about understanding my needs. I have since installed a new heater and also changed the pool pump and filter and we are very happy with the job, which cost less than what he was quoting me for a heater alone. I am in awe that this company would receive a good review from anyone, it was the most unprofessional and uncomfortable experience I have ever had. The fact that I am sitting to write this review is testimony to my utter disgust having had such an experience.

Everything went very well. A minute hadn't gone by my e-mail request for an estimate when Dennis called me to set up an appointment. Kevin came out 3-4 days later and talked to my husband and myself to explain what they could do for us. We got our estimate, got a window of days to do the project and a week later we were back in our jacuzzi cooking all our tensions away. Florida Pool Heating is a family owned business that has been around for 25 years. I'm grateful to Angie's list for helping us find them. .

They were very punctual, competent and professional. Came exactly as promised and completed everything within an hour. Great work!

The problem wasn't the pool heater, but the weather. The weather was so cold that the pool heater turned itself off for defrosting. Had never seen that before. Very happy to have a service call that didn't involve repairs. Very honest.

Installed a new pool heater. Very professional - Very efficient. The whole job took less than 4 hours. I recommended this company to a friend who needed a new pool heater. They were very satisfied.

They were fantastic. They did everything and they did an excellent job. They came out last summer or spring and re-plumbed the pool for me and got it working the way that I wanted it to work for $900 and something. And then, I called them about a month ago because the valve would not close and they came out with no charge.

As of November 5, 2013 Florida Pool Heat had on their web page that they guarantee to beat any written estimate . I also exchanged emails with them about installing a AquaCal SQ 156R Ice Breaker Heat Pump ,in which they reiterated that they would beat any written estimate. When I presented them with a written estimate from an authorized AquaCal Distributor that was close to $1000 lower then Their estimate I was told that since the estimate I gave them was itemized to show the cost if the heat pump as well as labor cost and sales tax it signaled a "Red Flag" and they would pass on the project.So much for all the talk about beating any competitors written estimate and their unconditional guarantee . I was obvious that they decided to "pass" on the project was the estimate I provided them was too low. Hopefully they will change their guarantee to read "Will beat any competitor's price as long as it is not too high".

Found Florida Pool Heating on Angies List. Made the appointment, Scott showed up on time and was Professional. Repair was done at a reasonable cost. Would have no hesitation recommending them! Great Company to do business with.

I reached out to this vendor because of the good reviews on Angie's list. I gave them a call and confirmed the cost to have someone come out and inspect my solar panels and plumbing. I had at least one major leak that I needed repaired. They were able to send someone out 2 days after my original call. I called the morning of to get a better time estimate and asked if the tech could call me to let me know. I received a call from the tech letting me know when he would be there. While he was there he found many leaks in the solar panels themselves and patched them. Then I asked him about the main leak that I had them come out for. He inspected that and the pipe had cracked. He was able to repair it, but then found more leaks that occurred after. He was honest and said that he could repair it, but it would just keep happening and we really should look at a new system. They did say that they are rated for 15 years and it has been 19 years. He also cleaned my pool filter and pointed out that it was extremely filthy. This is something my pool guy is supposed to be doing on a regular basis. I also received a call from the office for me to authorize additional repair costs and I gave them the ok. Then the next morning Dennis called and explained the situation to me. He was very professional and polite. He recommended I don't use the solar heater because if one of the pipes burst I could have lots of water on my roof and it could cause problems. He then sent me a quote for a brand new system with installation and the quote seemed very reasonable. Especially with an Angie's list discount. I was very happy overall with the service even though the outcome was not what I wanted. I still fee they did everything they could for the old system.

Everything went perfectly. I sent an email to Dennis one night and he responded by the next morning. We spoke by phone about my pump problem, he gave me a cost (very fair) and subsequently we set up a time and day for installation. The installer did more than I expected by replacing PVC pipe and anything else that needed replacement. My husband is thrilled. Pump is working and is VERY QUIET. A really nice experience dealing with this company.

It took them 5 minutes to find the problem and they showed it to me for a free consultation. Another company I had out was going to charge me $250. They are very honest and I liked their service. I had them out on Friday and they replaced the whole heating pump on Monday. They have a great turn around time. The technician was very knowledgeable and professional throughout the experience. I was very satified with their service.

The tech showed up over 2 hours late with no phone call. I had just put both my kids in the car seats ready to head out when he pulled up. Had to lug them back in the house to wait. Was just given a quote now which was way overpriced. I can pickup the same part brand new on Amazon for $300 it may take an hour to program. They wanted $687 plus I paid the $125 already for the tech to come out and access the problem even though I said I needed already what I needed which was a new remote. That's over $750 they are trying to charge me for programming a $300 remote and showed up late. No THANK YOU!! I felt like I was buying a used car when trying to negotiate the price. Sorry but they must think because I'm a girl I'm stupid and would pay that price for programming a remote control.

Florida Pool Heating were great. They showed up EARLY, and were very knowledgeable about the pool heater & pump unit. I would definitely use them again.

Horrible, horrible... could not believe all the good ratings. We needed a replacement of the pool heater: rather significant investment. First of all, these guys did not even want to come out, talk to us and give us an estimate. there was a lot of time wasted over an email and phone trying to get them over and get at least a price estimate. It was ridiculous, they quoted a wide range without committing to any specific price. then the owner tried to pull the power sell giving a deal that "expires" within 24 hours. This deal included tax evasion shcemes, etc. Meanwhile they said that their company was NOT licensed for any gas-related work, so they can't install the gas pool heater and we would have to arrange for the gas company to come in and complete the work. I could not believe my ears- a pool heating company that can't do heater installation? Sounds sooo cheesy. We had the work done by the local gas company for much less including all installations and no hassle.

The job went very well. Myron, the tech, was on time, friendly, patient, efficient and professional.

It went perfectlly . Kevin arrived on time and gave us a very professional presentation. We signed the contract on the spot. On the day of installation, two employees showed up and completed the installation in a couple of hours. It's been working perfectly ever since.

Dates and amounts may be inaccurate because I do not remember the details off hand of those. Service was good and price seemed ok. Workers came as scheduled, I was not there but they completed the work as required without issue.

I contacted Florida Pool Heating and Dennis, (the owner), in late Jan 2013 to get info on a pool heater installation and estimate. Dennis was very good in his explanations and gave me an estimate and completion date. I re-called Dennis/Florida Pool Heating about a week later and set the job up. The installation folks were very professional and quick in their installation. The estimate I received from Dennis was true and there were no up-charges or last minute "oh we didn't know,..." increases in fees. All work was done very well and cleanup was thorough and complete. Dennis is very courteous and is a pleasure to deal with. all calls we returned promptly. I would not hesitate to recommend or again use Florida Pool Heating for any future work.

I emailed them via Angie's list. Within a few hours I got an email reply. The next day I received a phone call to discuss the issue I had. I was a little surprised about the $125 service call charge, but this company was the only company who said they were familiar with the specific brand salt system I had at that point. 2 days later, they came out and diagnosed the issue. The repair VS replacement cost warranted a full replacement. I was afraid their price was going to be higher than other estimate I had received because I was already "in bed" with them for the $125. Much to my surprise, their estimate was the LOWEST of 3 estimates I had gotten! We scheduled the work within the same week and now have a beautiful, properly operating pool system. Thank you Dennis and crew for a great job at a great price!

After consluting with four top installers via Angie's List, I chose (South) Florida Pool Heating in Coral Springs, FL because of the owner, Dennis. He stayed in contact, was hands-on and available thru out process. His service representatives in office and in field were also patient and accomodating. I purchased and had installed a Jandy Hi-Efficiency Gas Heaters. My original order was for the medium sized model, however, it was not in stock by the installation date. Dennis compensated me by sellng me the large Jandy for the price of the medium size model with same warranties and contract inclusions! I was quite taken aback. That doesn't happen very often. Working with Dennis and his team was one of the most easiest and satisfying transactions In which I've been involved in some time. I recommend him highly.
