Evolution Gutters

My 98-year-old neighbor, called this company to have them repair her gutters, from a flyer that came in the mail, Cristhian Varela (owner) came out gave an estimate on 10/20/23. They supposedly made repairs to her front and back gutters for a total of $495.00. When the next substantial rain came the gutters still leaked, she called them to tell them, they were still leaking and it took quite a while for them to respond, but someone did come back said it was still leaking, but after several calls from my neighbor, her son and myself. They have yet to make an appearance. They say they give a 2-year warranty but getting them to come back out and the lies that Yudelmis, who works in the office tells is ridiculous. They are scam artists taking advantage of the elderly. Once they get your money you do not see them again. I am reporting them to the Attorney General's office as well for taking advantage of the elderly. You check their reviews same thing no show. Their license in Miami-Dade is expired since 9/30/20, so I am not sure why it is on their estimates. They have phone numbers in West Palm Beach and are not licensed there either. Their Broward license is valid, and a complaint will be filed with them as well.

Evolution Gutters, although $100 more than the lowest bid, gave us 2 additional downspouts. The work was done quicker than we expected. Christian gave us a 7 day window, but was ready to install in 2 days! The work performed was exceptional. I purposely waited a few months before posting a review as I wanted to make sure we experienced plenty of rain before reviewing. We have had quite a bit of rain in the last few months, hard rain for hours, including hurricane force winds and heavy rains. The gutters held up beautifully and have performed as expected. The only thing I would have liked is to have been offered the option to add downspout extensions. We had to go out and purchase them at Home Depot as the water was depositing too close to the house. All in all, the work was done as expected and in a timely, professional manner. I would highly recommend them.

I contacted five companies for quotes on the installation of seamless aluminum gutters, four of which were A-rated on Angie's List (the fifth was Home Depot, not realizing they hire subcontractors, before the quote). Evolution Gutters was the second to visit my house, the measurements and quote provided by the owner/operator (Cristhian). His quote was the lowest of the five, but that was NOT the most important reason why I hired him. He came at the time arranged for the quote, was unhurried in taking measurements and diagramming the specific linear feet totals for the coverage area needed, and patiently answered my questions regarding downspout locations/angles, etc. Eventually, I hired him because of the overwhelming number of positive reviews (on mainly another site), his professional/serious demeanor, his company's being in business since 2006 (if I recall), and the fact that he offered a 2-year labor warranty (all others were 1 year labor) along with the standard 20 year manufacturer parts warranty. I don't regret the decision. Because of the busyness/demand of the season and work schedules, the install didn't occur until 7 days after the contract was signed (no demerits for that, the other bidders quoted me 7-21 days), and Cristhian was courteous enough to call me on the day of installation to advise me he'd be running a tad later than originally anticipated (I'm talking 1/2 hr. delay, no big deal). Here's where it gets really impressive. On the day of the quote, he had mentioned (in response to my question) that it'd probably be 2 or 3 installers on the premises to finish the job in about 4-5 hours; however, when the company truck pulled up with the materials, I was surprised to see that it was only Cristhian present. He explained that his crew was busy at another site, but that he'd still be able to finish the job in the anticipated timeframe. It was incredibly hot and humid, with no cloud cover or breeze to offset the uncomfortable environment, so I wondered whether that might compromise the quality of the work or his attitude in the process. Nevertheless, he got to work right away, completed the install within the anticipated timetable, and never exhibited any grumbling/complaining (yes, I was on the premises the entire time and would occasionally check the progress of his work). He even declined my offer of cold water when he was done! The guy is a workhorse (hardly even broke a sweat) and a consummate professional. He was kind enough to provide a small extension (at my request) to one of the downspouts, cleaned up thoroughly after completion of the work, and provided a practical reminder on maintaining the gutters for maximum performance. The gutters look beautiful (seamless indeed), were fastened securely (I double-checked), and most importantly, have performed flawlessly (no leaks) following numerous rain events. True, the real test of their quality and that of the install will be over the longer haul, but thus far I am entirely delighted with his work and would recommend this company to anyone in need of new gutters. The only reason for the two B grades was the slight delay in responding to my voice messages, but that's understandable considering this is not a large company with a full-time receptionist, customer service reps, etc.

It went great. They put up a lighter gutter and there are no leaks. They did a real good job, they worked hard. They weren't here that long for the amount of work they did. And the price was great, I was shocked.
