I started by trying to install it myself. When it took me 4 days to complete one bedroom I thought that I'd try paying someone to do it so I hired a handy man that my parents used. Well that was a little better and the job he did in the bedrooms is ok. But he installed it crooked in the hallway because he started in the wrong spot. So to finish the remaining bedroom, my office, the trim work, and the stairs I used Lumber Liquidators installer, Euro Floors Design. The day they were supposed to start (they said they'd be at my house between 9:00 and 9:30) they were late so I called John at 9:45. He said they were finishing a job in Dade County and would get to my house at about 1:00. So since my wife works from home I told him to call before they came by and I went to work. They actually arrived about 3:00. Then they were supposed to come by the following Saturday and John called me (at least he called) and said they had an emergency in Palm Beach so they couldn't make it. But he sent his guy by on Sunday morning. After that we needed one more day to complete the work which they did the following Saturday. After the installer was done he said that John asked him to collect $2,500. I said that I was quoted $1,600 and showed him the quote John gave me. So he took the $1,600 and went on his way. So in the long run I wish I hired them in the beginning because the quality of the work is a lot better then what either the handyman or I did. But they are unreliable, unorganized, and they tried to collect $900 more then what they quoted me. I'll give John the benefit of the doubt and call it a mistake by asking for $2,500 because I hate to accuse someone wrongly without having all the facts. However if you hire them just stay on top of John (his guy was professional, polite, and did a good job) and if they're late give him a call to verify he is sending a crew to your house. And most important keep your estimate so they don't try to collect more then what they quote you.
Description of Work: I purchased laminate flooring from Lumber Liquidators for my upstairs in November 2015 and needed it installed.

WARNING - BEWARE OF FALSE ADVERTISING OF MATERIAL: I went with Euro Floors by recommendation of my contractor and had the worst experience. I encourage you to look for a reputable big dealer for all your countertop needs. First Peter (the owner) came by my house with a box of "Sile Stone" samples and asked me to choose a color which I did, a bright white Quartz Counter and he also measured the cabinets. He even let me keep the Sile stone 2" square sample to show my husband. So far so good. I went by his office to submit the deposit and return the sample. The day of the install came and come to find out he mis-measured the island and forgot to include the space for the dishwasher. Now he tells me I have to pay another $2000 to have the counter top recut. I needed it immediately as I had family in town so I agreed with no choice. He recut and returned the next day only to find that the countertop has an imperfection (a grey spot on a bright white countertop) and he did a poor job installing it, not screwing it securely, caulking done poorly. I still none-the-less gave him the payment believing that I had finally at least received my countertop. 3 months had gone by and I noticed that the Quartz, which is supposed to be stain resistant, is having staining issues. Anything that falls on the countertop, coffee, juice, fruit all stains the countertop. Having white countertops this is a problem. I called Sile Stone who told me I need a warranty ID front the dealer so I called Euro floors. He asked me what brand the countertops were and I told him Sile Stone as that's what I had chose. He told me to double check the underside of the counter which suspiciously had nothing written on it. Come to find out he gave me a NO-NAME brand countertop with no warranty and claims that's what I chose. UNBELIEVEABLE! I paid $5000 thinking I was paying for a premium Quartz Sile Stone countertop with product warrant only to find out he cut corners and gave me some no-name brand and charged me the premium price just to make money on me! You're better off going with a big box store like Home Depot or Lowes at least they give you what you paid for.
