East Coast Windows and Doors replaced the doors with impact resistant doors with screens. They were professional from start to finish. Following the initial installation, one of the screens was not square with the door. They removed and re-installed the entire unit in order to fix the problem. The county inspector commented that he has never had a problem with any of their installations. I found East Coast on Angie's List. After I had engaged them for the job, I discovered a close friend had just used them to replace a large 8-foot sliding glass door in her home. She also highly recommended them.

WOW. These guys are good. I have had a lot of work done recently on my home and this company stands out head and shoulders above any company I have come in contact with. Their professionalism was obvious from the time they came out for an estimate to the time they finished the job. They gave me a one hour time frame in which they would arrive and were always on time. The estimate they provided was considerably lower than any other I had received. On top of the low estimate they also provided a $200 discount for being on Angie's list. They replaced my old jalousy windows with hurricane impact tinted windows and the difference is unbelievable. The noise reduction is remarkable. The installation crew was also very impressive. The three man crew showed up and each one had a specific task making it a very smooth operation. They removed all my old windows and installed eleven new ones in approximately four hours. They removed all trash and cleaned up both inside and out. Because a city permit was required they provided an employee to be here on the day of the final inspection to deal with the city inspector. Overall I am totally impressed with East Coast Door and Window and have already recommended them to several of my friends. These people know how to operate a service business.

We needed to replace three sets of French doors that were installed 9 years ago, because the wood framing had rotted. We chose two companies from Angie's List to give estimates. Dan Shough came out from East Coast Windows and did his measurements and prepared an estimate. Compared with the other company, he gave us more confidence that the job would be done right and on time. East Coast's estimate was a little more than the other company but we chose them because of the confidence factor. Dan had originally indicated that it would take 6-8 weeks for the doors to be manufactured and ready for installation. Right at the 5th or 6th week they called to say they were ready to install. They installed two of the doors on one day and came back the next morning to finish the third door. Bill's team was efficient, friendly and cleaned up after themselves. A week later Nick came back to meet the county inspector and take care of the final tweaking to the door fit and finish. The only surprises we had were good ones. East Coast always called us ahead of time to let us know when they were coming, AND they came when they said they would (a shocker in South Florida). The doors look great. We'll use East Coast again and will gladly recommend them.

They did a very professional job on estimating the work and have been very professional so far.

For insurance purposes we need to replace a box window with a more modern impact window. We chose to call them for an estimate because we were impressed with ratings from other customers. Unfortunately, they were very brief on the phone and declined to come out for only one window. Update: We appreciate the company taking the time to respond to our original review. Not wanting to take a one-window job makes much more sense given that explanation. The ratings have been adjusted accordingly.

We had impact windows and doors installed in our condo. There was also structural engineering involved where the wall had to be removed. The compnay did an excellent job, however, communication was not good. When I called-Heather's message said that she would get back within 24 hours. She uses all 24 hours to return the call. When I complained to the owner, I told him that Heather is NOT that busy that she cannot return a call within a couple of hours. I had a question that required a 5 second reply and she was the only one with the information. There is no need for not returning a phone call promptly to customers. That is my only complaint.

On-time. On-budget. Excellent craftsmanship and quality control.

*What a great experience. *They came in removed the old windows all in a matter of a few hours and had all the new one in. *The next morning was the permit inspection...everything passed!!! *By noon they were back at my house to do the finish work around the windows ...all touch ups etc. *They ever took down all the blinds and re-hung the blinds back up. *GREAT...GREAT....Company!!! *They took pride in there work. *From the beginning...the measurer...the quote...the receptionist...all were so pleasant & professional. *There's not one thing I could say that was bad. *Wish more companies in South Florida could be like them!!!!!

I contacted East Coast windows based on their positive reviews on AngiesList. They came out and measured the windows and later Heather from their office emailed me their quote (I got the AngiesList coupon for $200 off even though I only had 7 windows to replace). Heather was really great about keeping in touch with me, and eventually decided to choose them because of their great price and service. I signed the contract on Dec 1, 2010 and although they said the windows would take 6 - 8 weeks to arrive, I had them installed by Dec 28, 2010. The installation crew was great, very friendly, did a professional, neat job and was out in 3 hours. Two days later the inspector came out, and signed off on the permit in 2 minutes flat. Great job, great service, great price!

The people from East Coast Windows & Doors Inc were professional and came on time. They were very courteous and they did what they said. They were very good.

Obtained 3 appraisals (they were the least expensive), place the order and had the work done. The windows took a long time to manufacture (2 months). They beat the next price by $2000. I am not sure I obtained the Angie's list discount ($200) but the price was excellent. The workers were overly dilligent about making all items work properly, The did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. They broke a small Condo "exit" sign and had it replaced that day. It took the entire 3 days to install as stated. The inspection followed the next morning with just a minor glitch. I am not associated in any way with this company...just a satisified customer.

From the time the estimator came out to the end of the job we were very happy with the service and professionalism of every employee. Ed, the Owner, went out of his way to make sure to accommodate our needs including our delaying the installation date by a week. He started on the day we wanted and was finished 3 days later - that included the new window, huge floor to ceiling sliding glass pocket doors, cabana and garage side door, and front entry door. There was an imperfection in one of the glass panes of the sliding glass pocket door, a small crack in the bathroom window and the front door didn't close properly after a week but East Coast came out and fixed/replaced everything to our satisfaction. I can't say enough good things about this company. I would recommend them to all my family and friends.

Initially 2 gentlemen came to give me an esitmate for the work. A week or so later I received a quote via email that was very competitive with the other quotes that I had received. I liked that the company had such good ratings on both Angies list and the BBB, so I called to have a contract drawn up. When Ed came out to bring the contract, he determined the estimate was inaccurate. The windows had not be properly measured and described. The bottom line increased by a few thousand dollars. I was still impressed by the company even though I was not happy with the new price. I decided to go with them anyway. My homeowners association required them to provide drawings, licenses and insurance information, that they complied with right away. It took almost 6 wks from the day I gave the deposit until the work began, I was told that the permit was held up by the city. The actual work took two days, a Thursday of one week and a Saturday of the following week. The crew headed by Russ, were wonderful. They tried to keep the mess cleaned up as much as possible. They were very courtious, and worked all day with very minimal breaks. They informed me of some damage to my exterior wall, that I was unaware of. My HOA had to send a crew in to repair the damage, causing 2 of my new windows to be removed. I called Ed to explain my concern that these workmen had removed my new windows and I was uncertain they were reinstalling them correctly. He sent a man right over to check them out. He made a few suggestion that the workers agreed to, which greatly eased my mind. After all the work by both East Coast and the HOA was completed I called the office to give them my final payment. When the gentleman came out he re-checked the final work done by my HOA and re-chaulked the window they had worked on at my request. Even though I had nearly a month of construction mess and stress to deal with, East Coast was one of the most pleasant contractors I have ever dealt with.

it went very well from start to finish the hardest part was trying tyo get an approval from my condo assn to replace the windows it was like pulling teeth that part had nothing to do with east coast at all. I recommend if anyone replaces windows living in a condo go to your board before hand to get the necessary approvals or find out the exact procedure for getting approval

I was told I would I receive a call back and never did. I am now questioning whether my job was too small for them.

Overall the experience with East Coast was great; their salesmen and installers were punctual and professional, their quote was very competitive with others I had gotten, and out of the three quotes I got on the job, East Coast made me feel that they, above the others, had the most experience and know-how to do the job (I have a wood frame house, a rarity in South Florida). Once the order came in, they were at my house to install within the week, and had the job done within six hours. They also had someone come back to the house for the city inspection. Overall, I would highly recommend them for any window/door job.

This was the best installation experience I have had with any contractor that I have hired. Not only were they the lowest bid contractor, (I got 4 bids) they also included removing my three awnings and repairing my existing PGT windows and doors without additional charge. The other contractors I spoke with all wanted to charge separately for these services. They arrived around 9:00pm and within a couple of hours all of the old windows and doors were removed. In a short time the new windows and doors were put in place. In a well coordinated manor the windows and door frames were bolted in, reframed with moldings were needed, and plastered. Around 2:00pm that day an inspector/trouble shooter from East Coast showed up. He inspected the almost completed job and made minor correction/changes were needed. Then he followed through with removing the awnings, repairing existing windows, doors and screens. By 4:30p that same day the work was completed. All of the debris was hauled away and the house left broom clean.

They were a bit expensive but I have to say I would recommend them and use them again myself.

We dealt with the president of the company right on down to the actual employees who installed the doors and were impressed with everyone. They were always punctual and did and excellent job. They built a plastic wall around the area and we did not experience hardly any mess. They cleaned up everything in the area when they were finished. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

They were the most honest and reliable. They came on time and informed us of things I didn't have to do that other companies said we would need to do. They were very responsive and their customer service was great. When we got the door, we found out that it was flipped, or done backwards. They called the window company and they came and fixed it. The situation wasn't resolved until about 5 weeks later, but we didn't have to pay anything until after the work was done. I will use this company again in the future.

After hearing great reports from several neighbors and friends who used East Coast Windows and Doors, we contacted them for an estimate. Ed came out and gave us an estimate to replace eight windows. He was on time, proficient and his estimate appeared to be a good price. We checked with one other company; although their price was a bit lower, we decided to use East Coast Windows and Doors because of the good work they had done for our neighbors and friends. Everything from start to finish went well. Again, they worked timely, efficiently and cleaned up after they completed the job in less than half a day. Our windows are beautiful and we are very happy with the job. We plan to contact them in Spring to complete the remaining windows and two doors. The guys who did the work were nice young men and good at what they did.

They were professional and responsive. They handled all of the city permitting and inspections. From the estimate to the final inspection, everything was completed expeditously.

We cannot ask for better service. From estimate to final inspection, this company is right on top of everything. Chris came out for our estimate. He was very professional and patient with all my questions. He provided us with a detailed (not hand written) estimate. Heather and the office staff contacted provided us with the drawings and paperwork for HOA approval. They promised us 5-6 weeks wait for the order (after HOA approval) and it was right on time. Dan called us when our order came in to schedule installation. Josh and his crew showed up right on time and efficiently worked for 3 days straight to install all our windows and doors. They were very neat and quick to answer any questions we have during the installation process. For the last day of installation, a project manager (David) did a final walk-through to make sure everything was perfect. Dan called us a week later to schedule final inspection and we passed with flying colors. We cannot say enough how happy we are with our choice of this company. Unfortunately, we are out of windows and doors to replace.
