He spent 6 hours in our home and did not stop working the entire time he was here. We also appreciated that he used drop cloths and cleaned up his messes as he went along. He did a fantastic job and the results are beautiful and functional. We had been searching for a knowledgable and trustworthy electrician and we have found him. We highly recommend Dan.

And that goes a long way with me! 2nd - He new his stuff and properly diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes of me telling him the story! 3rd - I didn't know the Dimmer switches could go bad? If I had called him before changing out wires myself, It would have cost me even less! - He had to fix me goof ups! 4th - Let me say that I will be using him again in the future very soon! Now if that's not enough for you... Let me tell you I am very picky and strait forward. I had several other companies come and give me quotes. Some were real crooks! They wanted 480.00 for what they called a level 2 Diagnosis... That did not include the fix! I tossed them out the door! Finally, What you really want to know is why your looking at my post... This is your guy! END OF STORY! Rick.

Before beginning his work he answered all of your questions and explained exactly what was involved. He stated what was covered in the cost and he completed the work in the stated time frame. We will continue to use digital electric whenever we have a need. Dan was outstanding!

He called us on Friday to tell us the equipment was in, and he came back on Saturday, did the job, and we are very pleased. I am passing his card around to my friends.

+ -1 moreI couldn't be happier. There were several months between when I first had Dan come out and when I had my vacation scheduled so I could get the work done. Dan came back out to double-check what I needed done and to listen to a couple of changes I wanted to make to the original estimate. He handled getting the permits with the city and he did all the work himself. I’m very happy with his work and I would definitely recommend him to anyone. I will also have him inspect the next house I might consider purchasing.
Description of Work: The house I purchased in 2011 was built in the 1960's. I needed a 220v outlet added so I could put a dryer in the home. My real estate agent recommended Dan. He came out and actually performed the electrical inspection I SHOULD have had done before I bought the place. There were several years of "improvements" that my home inspector missed that even I knew weren’t correct. The central AC was not installed properly and the service upgrade that should have occurred with the central AC installation never happened either. Dan gave me an extremely reasonable estimate and was able to complete the work accommodating my vacation schedule. He worked with FPL to have my service disconnected when he upgraded the meter panel outside and the breaker panel inside. He also re-ran or added several other circuits and fixed several “improvements” that the previous owners had done incorrectly.

I have had many contractors here through my home's full renovation and Dan was one of two contractors who performed his work perfectly! I would highly recommend Dad Taylor of Digital Electric and when I renovate my bathroom, he's the electrician I will use!
Description of Work: Dan installed all new outlets in my kitchen, hung chandeliers, installed track lighting, installed under cabinet lighting, out side lights, etc.

Description of Work: Electrical outlet specifically for the garbage disposal was not working. He found the wiring was wrong in a couple different places. He fixed the wiring.

The second time he installed a box and light fixture in the bathroom. I called him mid day Friday and he arrived to do the work four hours later. Once again, great job at a resonable price.

He is a level headed guy unlike alot of other contractors who blow everything out of proportion $$$ and then charge you more. After he was done we had him repair a cpl of other items and install a ceiling fan...great work...fair prices what else can you ask for.

Description of Work: Dan was extremely professional. He came out and gave a quote in writing. fixed something on the spot that another electrican told me had to be replaced. Whe we scheduled Dan to come to our home we had a myriad of electrical repairs etc. to be done, such as install new ceiling fans, replacing old ones, install new light fixtures, replacing old ones, trouble shoot a faulting intercom system, replace an outdoor outlet with a proper water sealed unit, repair dock pedastal light, clean up an improper junction box, and create a remote for turning on our outdoor lighting. Dan showed up, worked hard and completed his taks, all the wihile ckeaning up after himself as well. His prices are fair and reasonable too. Cannot say enough good things about his work and work ethic! will definitlely have Digital Electric as our"Go to" comapny!

When he talks through solutions with you, he tells you what he can do, not what he can't do. He is one of few workers that I would allow to perfrom work if I was not at home. A definite gem in his field! He would come from us with the highest of possible recommendations!

+ 0 moreSee above Someone at Angie's List office kindly recommended and emailed me several electrician's and handyman phone numbers and the listings on the Angie's List site, which I appreciated very much, and I chose Dan Taylor of Digital Electric. He's great - call him - you won't be sorry.
Description of Work: Dan Fixed two things that no other person was able to fix for 8-10 years!!!!! He knew right where to go to fix both problems. One involved a post light that kept tripping up the outlet in the garage - problem was not the post light but a broken outside outlet on the side of the house. The other problem was the door bell - for years we had been told we could not install a hard-wired door bell, even though one had been there when the house was built that the builder had removed and added something else. Everyone we called in told us it couldn't be done - that always seemed idiotic. But we told Dan what we had told everyone else and in less than five minutes we had a doorbell that rings inside, fully hardwired. It was there all along but no one bothered to look. Dan did, and it works. We bought a light fixture and one part was not included in the box but is necessary for the installation - he volunteered to locate one in the right color, found it, ordered it and is waiting for its delivery. He'll call as soon as it comes in. He's amazing! If you have problems electrically, hire him!!!! He also installed seven new smoke detectors for us, and a few other small things. The price above included everything. He was neat, clean, had most of what he needed on his truck.

+ -1 moreDan came in, took a look, and just started working on finding/ fixing the problem. He was finished within an hour. The bill was completely reasonable and fair. One of the outlets had a wire that was not connected! He was great. I am already planning a few other projects for him!
Description of Work: Prior electrical work done, but 3 items not finished/ not working. Called 4 companies. 2 responded. 1st company gave an outrageous quote. I thought the work to be fairly straightforward. 1st company looked at some of it, but apparently not enough.
