Description of Work: I've had CTS service for 16 years. Had lots of false alarms, cops coming to my house when I was away...consequently, i stopped turning it on and bought a mean dog; just maintained the service so I could be truthful on my home insurance and get the home alarm discount. Tonight, my smoke detector and alarm went off. I'm trying to clear out the smoke and the phone rings. It's CTS. I tell them all is well but I have my hands full trying to clear out the smoke. I ask the call center employee to please turn off the alarm. Response I get is "what's your password?" I say "I don't know, I thought it up 16 years ago and never used it since, and oh, by the way I've been sending you effing checks for 16 years, now please turn it off". The woman hangs up on me... gotta love that customer service.

Description of Work: I have called Cypress Trace twice over the past two years about getting an estimate. The first time I was told that one of the salesman would get in touch with me to set up an appointment. I never heard anything back from anyone. I thought it was strange, as they have many customers in my city and are well known, but I didn't pursue it further at that time. After several break-ins in my area I decided to try them again. I called again and a woman answered and took my name, address, etc. . Once again she said that one of the salesman or techs would get in touch with me. Once again I never heard anything back. I then sent an e-mail but still never heard anything back from them. They advertise in my church bulletin every week so I even told them in the e-mail that I was a member of the parish and saw their ad and that I would prefer to use someone who supports the church but still I heard nothing. I only persisted with them because I know several people in my neighborhood who use them and they are happy with them. But for me, nobody bothered to contact me even after I sent them an email and told them that sales didn't contact me. I don't know if they have so much business that they don't need or want more, they don't like my name or the sound of my voice, but I have never been successful in even getting an appointment. I am not a deadbeat and I live in a nice area. They continue to advertise but don't bother to set up appointments. Angie's list should be very careful in recommending Cypress Trace Security. Your customers will be left frustrated by their business practices. The work date entered above was only entered because the report wouldn't submit with a date of 00/00/2011. There was no work performed by them and I don't know the exact date of the most recent phone call, it was within the past 4 months.
