This company painted the interior of my son's townhome. Their work was first rate, and, as important as the painting was, the prep work to the walls and baseboards was crucial. The spent time in the prep, which showed in the quality of the overall job. The painters were pleasant to be around, they were punctual, clean and meticulous. Their estimate of costs was in line with other estimates I'd received. I'd recommend this company for any size job!

The walls required extensive prep work and the crew worked long and hard repairing them. Charles painted woodwork samples so that I could choose a finish and then did not blink an eye when I changed my mind after the first coat went on. The job timeline was extended because of this and Charles kindly accommodated me. The crew was punctual, professional and a pleasure to have in my house. They did an excellent job prepping and painting, with no oversight from me. They knew what to do and they did it--no cutting corners! Charles is very knowledgeable, answers all questions, addresses all concerns and provides a detailed estimate. Charles was wonderful. Him and his carpenter are very professional. He was the only person I could get that would send me someone to help me by taking up boards to see if we could find the leak. His carpenter showed me the different things he found that might be the cause. He scrapped and sealed areas that we thought would be the cause of the leak. We couldn't find where the leak was coming from so we started small by sealing a few areas and waited to see if there was any change. So far I haven't had a problem with my leak. He also took out and re sealed a small area around my door that had some wood rot. I will definetly be calling him in the future.

Workers arrived on time, did an excellent job, cleaned up thoroughly and finished early. I would highly recommend this company and plan to use them again.

This was a great experience. All of their employees were professional and timely. The work lived up to the estimate provided and the end result was fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone!

We were relocating to Florida and interviewed 3 companies that install crown molding and paint. We also met with companies that do not provide molding, but do painting. We were very impressed with Charles Michel, not only because of his references, but also he made a number of excellent suggestions for the work to be done that we had not thought of. Although, his was not the very lowest estimate, it was substantially below the highest. He and his team began his work and completed most of it even before we arrived in Florida. Our confidence that he would make good decisions without consulting us day to day was well rewarded. His team did an excellent job, they were very pleasant to deal with, and they continued to make very helpful decisions. We even decided to add a small amount of faux painting to the job for very little additional cost. We could not be more pleased with our selection of Charles and his company.

Chuck and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish. At every step of the project, they were very conscientious about being clean, and were always punctual, friendly, and professional. They turned an apartment that looked like a wreck into a beautiful home. Doors that were peeling and ugly were changed into showroom doors. Walls that were drippy and rough were changed into new walls. It was like magic! Chuck also advised me on color as well. His choice was beyond excellent. The addition of the baseboards and new doors really made a huge difference. Before wrapping up, his crew double checked all the work. They found more spots than I noticed and went back and touched up. Chuck and his crew are interested in pleasing the customer. I definitely recommend Charles Michel Painting and would use them again.

The work involved refinishing all wall and ceiling surfaces in the entryway, living and dining rooms of our home for which we obtained several bids. While Charles Michel's quote was not the lowest, we chose his company based on his presentation, knowledge, suggestions and strong desire to do the job. We were also impressed with his laptop's powerpoint presentation of work done by his company. We agreed on the price and work commenced the following day. The first phase involved the difficult removal of a lot of 20 year old heavy-duty wallpaper followed by a complete plaster-skimcoat to override the distressed surfaces. This work took several days and was expertly done by two different individuals who were definitely highly experienced in what they did. We were amazed at how clean and neatly these jobs was done, given the nature of this work. Once the skimcoat was dry, another special crew arrived to first remove all the ceiling popcorn and then apply the blown-on "knock down" texture, that we desired, on walls and ceilings. All areas not to be affected were carefully masked and the results of this application were of exceptional quality and precision. When all surfaces were properly dry, the finish-painting crew arrived to apply the first of two coats. The following day the second coat was applied and the final appearance of these spaces was outstanding. After their clean-up. the rooms were spotless. We could not be more pleased.

Charles Michel and his employees were extremely punctual and professional. Charles made suggestions for different color combinations for my walls and the installation of new interior doors to give my condo a more updated look. On my own, I would never have selected the colors that he suggested; but I followed his suggestions and love the result! I had been searching for over a year for someone to repair the bullnose on one of my tiled stairs . . . one of his employees was able to successfully repair it.

They are the best, I found them on Angie's List. They were prompt and professional. He told me what they were going to do, but when the workers came in they asked me again what they were supposed to do. They cleaned up everything, they did everything they were supposed to do and they were incredible. They are great and I recommended them to other people, my daughter is actually having them out this week. They haven't come by to get the money yet, he does the job first. He's not the cheapest, but I don't care. I have a lot of work to do and I am going to be using them in the future.

The craftsmen were prompt courteous and finished job on time. Thoroughly cleaned up.

I was really impressed by the guy. He was prompt and courteous. He was very thorough about his knowledge. He explained to me about the bid and how they price things. He said that if they were able to complete the project with less labor, they would reduce the cost. I have not gone ahead with the project yet, but I am planning to use them.

We live out of town and found Charles on Angie's List. He came and gave an estimate and started on the agreed date. He sent Anthony to remove wallpaper in 2 bathrooms. Then his crew came in to repair and paint walls. He was also kind enough to hang 4 towel bars and 2 new light fixtures. The light fixtures were a pain to connect and took much longer than expected. Luckily he did not charge me for the extra time spent. His workers arrived on time and cleaned up. The bathrooms look great and I would use Charles again.

Very well. The work was done on my 93 year old mother's house in Florida; I live in Minnesota. We had to get it done quickly to maintain homeowner's insurance coverage. I contacted Chuck through Angie's List because I really didn't have any other options for a referral and he sounded really good. He went over and did an estimate while I was on the phone with him. He was willing to do the job on a Sunday because that was when my mother spent the most time out of the house -- he was very good about accommodating her needs and convenience. The work was done in five hours on Sunday, plus another hour Monday morning to paint the door that had been patched. He himself came out with two workers Sunday morning and did a walk through with me, then he left. His workers were very professional and easy to work with. The painting (including substantial mud work) was done neatly and professionally, with a thorough cleanup afterward. All and all, a very satisfying experience. He apologized for coming in slightly over his estimate, but this was only because we added repairing the door and cleaning the porch after the estimate was made. He gave very good value for the money.

The whole process with this company was super easy. Chuck was the first contractor I met with and not only was he personable, knowledgeable, and came in at the best price--but he took his time and really explained our options and the possibilities that this house had hidden underneath it.

They were very professional. They did a wonderful job. They taped everything and cleaned up when they were done. It's like they were never even here.

This was a Friday to Monday makeover of a 5 rooms plus 2 baths townhouse. Great crews. Patient with our paint color changes, totally cooperative with other contractors who removed popcorn ceilings & resurfaced ceilings & some walls that also had to be painted by Monday eve. Painters also worked around a difficult carpet contractor & kept him from walking off the job. When they left on Monday afternoon, the place looked clean, like new. We highly recommend this contractor!

Very prompt for estimate. Work completed on time, on budget and was of very high quality. Was able to help line up other contractors and coordinated well with other contractors for complete interior renovation. Great job!
