California Closets - Ft Lauderdale

They have never fully delivered on the job. They didn't deliver the total number of shelves, hooks, or mirrors that we paid for and it has been months. They keep making excuses. Very poor follow through for a company that we paid a lot of money.

It was horrible. Never never use this franchise! I used California Closets in Atlanta and had a great experience. This was a total waste of my time and stressed me out for over a month. I bought this house about two months prior and the sales person came into my home for a consultation. He viewed the closets and measured them. We designed the closets, picked the materials, and set the date. I then paid the 50% down payment. The installation date was a month and a half out. During that time and at least twice a weekI was harassed by the sales person and then the owner, Lori, to hire a friend of theirs to do "prep" work on the closets before the installation. I told them that no "prep" work was needed and I would paint after they finished installing - but that was not good enough for them. They continued to harass me endlessly. On Dec 26, I got an email from the sales person confirming the install for Dec 31. Then on Dec 27 I get an email from the owner that they were going to cancel the install because my house was built in 1960. W**??? They new the age of my house when the sales person came into the house for the consultation. I am certain it was canceled because I refused to hire their "friend" to do this phantom "prep" work. What a rip off! And worse of all it wasted my time!!!! There are many other reputable companies in the area without having to deal with these people.

Install went well, very professional. They returned when I realized the spacing on my shoe closet wasn't going to work and promptly fixed it. During the design process, one of the drawer options I was presented with and initially chose then became unavailable, and I had to negotiate with the owner to get one of the other options at a reduced price because I was going to be automatically given the more expensive option without a discount. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and the closets are beautiful.

They did an excellent job. Very Happy!! I previously used them about 16 years ago . My sales representative Jan was excellent. I used her sixteen years ago.

Quality of product top notch.

The in-home estimate was quick and easy. The design expert was pleasant and professional. Since I ordered about three months out I had no issue with getting my preferred install date. The installation team arrived during the time frame promised. Install took a few hours and the final product looks amazing. There was one design issue the was discovered during installation. The installers did not charge me for that item and before I even had a change to email my contact at California Closets she had called me (within 2 hours after the installers left) and arranged to come by within 48 hours to review the situation. She came by, we discussed options and she agreed to the changes at no charge. Amazing service recovery for something that did not require service recovery.

They did do some really nice drawings that they could email me that I could see the designs and everything from another state. She emailed me what I was looking for. When they installed it and it was perfect. It looks wonderful and everything fits perfectly and it looked like it belongs there.

Seen their ads for the longest time. Friends of mine had good experiences and referred us to this company. Design and choice is good. All layout materials are easy to visualize. Needed to get installation in specific timeframe and they were able to accomodate. Emailing the design took a long time, sales person does not work over the weekend apparently. Installer are very good and professional, and can adjust minor things on the fly. In one morning all closets installed and ready. It came out very nice. They are expanding to Boca they said, they will have to put up their A game for that. Would like to see cheaper prices and better competition.

We didn't go with them. They were very helpful. I only thing was that the price was too high. They were pretty responsive and professional. We don't think we would call them again.

California Closets gave me a good estimate that had a nice design. I went with another company because I thought they had the better design.

They were a little bit higher than what I wanted. That's why I didn't go with them. They were professional and on time. It was a good experience. I may use their services in the future.

I found them way too expensive, so I didn't use them. They gave me the prices and I thought that was just outrageous. It was just thousands of dollars to outfit my closets and I didn't want to spend so much. I've used them before for something else and they were good. They give you a written estimate and their workmanship is excellent. It's just their prices are out of the ballpark.

They were pretty professional, but their price was little on the high side. They may be a little more expensive, but you will get a quality work. They were on time. Everything was good with them. Estimation process was very prompt. I had about 3 different estimates from 3 different companies and I did like these guys. They did things the way I like it. I am planning use them in a couple of months.

I don't know if I am going to use them but I was very happy with what they proposed and how they came and measured. I am also looking at another company for the work. Their price was a little bit more but I was getting more. It was a little more quality. I put everything off until after Christmas. The lady was very good and had very good quality ideas. They got back to me quickly and told me exactly what they would do. I couldn’t be happier with what they proposed. They were very professional.

Rep came out on time to do estimate-- had great suggestions for use of space. Spent a long time going over layouts with us. Installer arrived on time and did a great job. Nice and clean and quick too. Gave us 10% Angie's List discount too.

The work was first rate and their price was fair. I would highly recommend them.

I had obtained multiple estimates before deciding to go with California Closets. They provided me with the most practical design and most reasonable prices.
