Broten Garage Door Sales

Called for service, was quoted $349.00 and scheduled for same day service. Serviceman arrived late afternoon and completed the work. When the price was given by the serviceman it was $359.60. Broten shows a coupon for 5% discount for Angie's list customers. We presented the coupon and was told that they would not honor the coupon. Extremely bad service no professionalism. This looks extremely bad also for Angie's List as they post the coupon and the provider does not honor.

It went great. The technician was friendly, courteous and professional and diagnosed the problem quickly. The job involved adjusting the springs and replacing a bolt in the chain link track. Although the job was scheduled for later in the day, they were able to do it earlier and gave me a courtesy call before arriving.

Kenny did a great job with the installation. He completed the job quickly and professionally. The garage door opens and closes silently now. He also programmed my cars. I would highly recommend Broton.

I requested morning installation because I had a commitment mid-afternoon. They gave me a window of 8-12, and the technician arrived exactly at 8. Perfect! He told me it would take about an hour and a half, and he was right. Also did a great job instructing me how to use it.

John was quite friendly but did not appear interested in working with us.

Malcolm the technician from Broten is a PROFESSIONAL ! Within minutes of arriving he saw,understood and resolved the problem. More important, he explained in detail the how and why the problem existed. Malcolm was in & out within one half hour and I found the cost reasonable. Anyone out there that is looking for garage door repairs...,I strongly suggest giving BROTEN GARAGE SALES a call.

My existing garage opener stopped working unexpectedly on Sunday morning. I called Broten first thing on Monday morning and was greeted by Elena, a very friendly and courteous office worker. She listened attentively to my problem and scheduled a technician to come out that very same afternoon. She gave a window of time for the tech to arrive and said she would call to let me know when the technicians were 30 minutes out. Just as promised, Elena called back and advised when the techs were 30 minutes away. The two technicians arrived right on time and after a quick inspection, concurred that the RF receiver (original 15-year old unit) needed to be replaced. Due to the age of the unit and the need to install door sensors for safety, we decided to install a brand new Lift Master door opener, track and drive unit. The new installation included battery backup, an exterior keypad, enhanced security coding, and door sensors to detect for any door obstructions ... All features my old unit did not have. The Broten techs were highly knowledgeable and very customer friendly. They installed the new hardware in short order, programmed the controller and exterior code box, tested the two included key chain remotes, and even set up the new codes in our Lexus SUV which has remote buttons built into the dash. They carefully explained how everything worked and the warranty guarantees for the installed product. While here, they also checked the existing door rollers, adjusted the spring tension and lubricated the bearings and door tracks ... No charge. Compared to my old opener, the new unit is so quiet I can hardly hear it when it operates. In all, I was very pleased that I picked Broten to address my problem and would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a new garage opener or maintenance on an existing unit.

They originally replaced the garage door about a year and a half ago. They really resolved lots of problems that I had with the prior garage door. They replaced it with a great new door.

They are very punctual and honest. The quote they give you is not any more or anything less than that unless there is something wrong.

I contacted the Broton office by phone the morning of Jan. 8 to schedule repair of a garage door at a rental property I own in Boynton Bch. I was told by the office they would email me a credit card authorization form to fill out before they would schedule a repair. I waited until the afternoon with no form received,so I went to their website and filled out their online request for service. I waited until the next day and still never received a response. I contacted another garage door repair company listed on Angies list and had my garage door repaired the next day.

A wheel fell off our garage door this weekend, and I called Broten this morning. They promised to send someone tomorrow, yet they asked if we were going to be home this afternoon. I replied, "yes." Sure enough, they called to say a technician was on his way. He arrived, looked at the garage door, replaced all the wheels as they were rattling. He also lubricated the metal hinges and explained this needed to be done monthly. When we explained we had recently purchased the house, he walked through what maintenance is required and even showed us how to program the controls. I very much appreciate that they provided same day service. He was in and out in less than an hour. I also believe that by replacing all the wheels instead of just fixing the single broken one that I have saved future service calls. I'll definitely call them again for an annual service. The garage door is operating much more quietly this afternoon than it has since we bought our home. He also showed us where there were metal shavings below the hinges because lubricant hadn't been applied monthly. I think we'll be able to take better care of this asset because of the service call today.

On Saturday, August 30th, I pushed my garage door opener and the door would only open about 3 feet from the ground. We tried to get it to open further or even close with no sucess. My husband was able to finally open it manually, but it was obvious it was never going to close. We called Broten at approx. 12:00 noon and placed an emergency service call. I was told they would be there late in the afternoon (around 4pm ) and it would be at the emergency level fee. I confirmed this. At 12:23pm I received a call from "Jennifer" at Broten and a technician was available, on his way and it was at the regular rate. He arrived at 12:40pm, went right to work and within the hour the door was working once again. This is the second time I have used Broten. We need to replace this door sometime in the near future (it is 17 years old) and I am definitely going to use Broten!!! Excellent service and customer service is second to none. THE CUSTOMER COMES FIRST!

From the sales guy, John, all the way thru the installation this company was very professional. They have knowledgable people and supplied the information that was useful. I have a awesome and quiet garage door and prepared for a hurricane. Thanks so much to Broten for making this a great experience.

It was very good. They set up a date and they met it. The guys came, they did their job very professionally and cleaned up after themselves and explained all of the door and how it works to myself and my wife. They did a really nice job and they took the old door and all that junk with them.

Went great. We originally purchased the garage door through Broton.

you MUST talk to the dispatcher or they will cancel your appointment and will not consider another appointment on the same day. They called the day prior and left voice mail stating that they would be here between 8 and 9am. We got it and had already confirmed the appointment when we scheduled it! But, because we did not call them back and re-confirm. the appoitment was cancelled. They did call 20 min before the appointment and we did not answer, but why do you have to confirm the appointment three times?? We are adults, not children and don't need to be reminded several times of an appointment that we scheduled? Double edged sword! UPDATE AFTER REVIEW: The garage door was fixed the following week and the service was done professionally. I appreciate the efforts of the management team for reaching out to us.

They are excellent. They are very professional. The sales people were very good when they came here for the installation, they were very careful. We love the door they installed, and they instructed us how to install all the mechanisms, the time, and temperature. They were just really good. Their price is very reasonable and I have already recommended them to others.

We were referred by our own clients to Broten. It took 2 phone calls to get someone out. John came out to give us an estimate. He didn't seem very interested getting the job to replace 3 garage doors in our home. I left him a voicemail within a week of the estimate to place the order, and he didn't return my call until 3 days later, and only after I had called his office to complain. They were very nice and apologetic in the office, but it was too late.

Noticed garage door was having trouble going up and down. Realized there was a problem with two rollers. Called Broten Garage Door and problem was resolved in two hours. Couldn't have been more responsive! Thank you.

The entry door cost me around $11000 and the garage door was $4500. The quality of service was very good.

Our door opener was acting erratically, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. My wife called and a tech was sent out that afternoon. He told her the motor in the opener was bad and the best way to fix the problem was to replace the entire unit. He replaced the opener, track, door beam sensor and controls for $451.00 which I thought was quite reasonable. Everything turned out good. The reason I gave a C for professionalism is due to the mess and debris left behind in the garage. I try to keep my garage clean and neat. I mean come on, it only takes a minute to pick up what you leave behind.

Price included material, labor and all applicable taxes, lifetime warranty on motor and belt; 5 year warranty on parts; one year warranty on labor. Received operation orientation from installer. Job took about 1.5 hours; old garage door opener materials were removed as well as any trash from new installation.
