Broten Garage Door Sales

Broten did a great job. They came the day I called. They replaced the broken spring and did complete maintenance on our door. The parts have a 10 year warranty and the labor has a 3 year warranty. I would highly recommend them.

I was able to get an appointment very quickly. Technician was available earlier than scheduled and did the work in a short amount of time. I was very happy with the job and will definitely use Broten again.

I called at 8:30 AM to request repair or replacement of my garage door opener. Marquis showed up at 10:15 AM and had the old one removed and the new one working by 11 AM Totally satisfied, however the cost a bit more than i expected, but after researching on line, I found the cost to be in line.

We have used Broten for many years for updates and repairs on our home. We are extremely allegiant to them and always call them first. We know their prices are often higher, but they stand behind their work. We have had front doors, garage doors, door springs and more replaced. This time could have just replaced the band for opener, but chose a new opener altogether due to age. We asked for any discount or a return client offer as possible, and they declined. Truly a shame as even our neighbors have used them based upon our referral and their visits. Perhaps they could be a little more allegiant also .... return clients and referrals are the bread and butter of a business IMO. The opener appears replaced and we move forward. All in all a good (but not great) visit.

Firm did not return my e-mails nor make any attempt that I am aware of to contact me, so I did not hire them, and would not recommend them.

first appt needed to have springs replaced. One week later had to replace 20-year old door opener.

They basically fixed what their previous tech didnt do; cut off heavy bundle of extra wire by bottom sensor lights replaced black tape on the sensor wires that came undone in heat of garage with proper electrical caps that screw on the wires, made door close all the way tight to bottom. They only charged me for service call.

I have used Broten in the past for all of my garage door issues. They are always prompt and professional. I was especially happy that when I called this time, they were able to send Marco, my service technician, in a matter of one-hour. Marco diagnosed my problem, and fixed it immediately. He even provided me with tips on how to keep my door in tip top shape. Marco went above and beyond the call of duty. I will always call Broten when I need garage door help.

Called Broten office 8am and they said the service tech would arrive between 12 and 4 pm today. At 2:30pm received call from the office telling me their tech was on his way. He arrived at 2:45pm and was done by 3:45pm. He replaced both springs on the 16x7 door. Very professional, cleaned up the area afterwards, did an excellent job.

One of the large springs on my garage door snapped in two. I called Broten and arranged for a service call the next day (they could have come the same day but we were not available). I was provided with a four hour service window by the office. The technician arrived during the fourth hour of the service window. I requested that he replace both springs since they have seen the same service conditions (18 years). He performed the replacement within an hour and also performed a normal maintenance on the door. He was professional and pleasant. The door now works fine. I would hire again.

We called Broten at about 11 am and by 2:45 they were here. The serviceman, Chris, was extremely professional and courteous. Explained the situation to us and then replaced both springs within 40 minutes. Excellent work by an excellent service person and an excellent company. I would highly recommend Broten. Their knowledge and experience is worth the cost and you get a lifetime warrenty on the parts and 3 years warrenty for labor. Great deal.

All in all, top-tier service. On March 8th and 9th, John, from Broten, came out to assess the situation . . . and did so in a very professional manner. Then, Ken and his partner, came out on March 20 and did the a very thorough, top-of-the-line job of removing my old door and installing the new air-tight door, and. like John, they were highly professional. Straight A's on their report cards.

We had submitted a negative review exactly one week ago, and Monday morning we were contacted by the Vice President of Operations of Broten Garage Doors regarding our experience and photographs posted. He was extremely concerned and made it very clear that they will make it right. We set up an appointment and they arrived on time, within minutes his technicians were making corrections and repairs, and the entire time the VP of Operations did not leave. He made sure the work was done properly. His team needed to return the next day to do some touch up work and when they were all done he once again contracted me to make sure everything went well. He had also made it clear that our problems shouldn't have gone on this long, and that he was not made aware of them until after our negative review. He told me over and over again this was not acceptable, and that he should have been notified once he reviewed our complaint and service records. I honestly believe he was sincere with what he had said. This is not a small mom and pop business, they have the manpower and resources to not let this happen again. If I need garage door work again I will contact them, I just wish it had not come down to this.

Technician Kenny arrived earlier than estimated. Very personable and professional. Completed the job timely. Kenny checked entire system, lubricated rails and bolts. Great job. Highly recommend Broten and particularly technician Kenny. Michael M.

When’s enough, enough? I have actually lost count, the number of times Broten has been called to return to our house for one reason or another. From the installation crew using our old door opener’s mounting brackets, to door making a pooping sound, the new opener flexing too much, down to where the openers track was mounted into the ceiling, rather than the door’s header and the massive drywall damage they have left behind. Most of the visits, they came and made some minor adjustments, but ultimately we were told everything is fine. But once again, the opener and track was flexing and moving so much we were afraid something was one day going to fall onto our vehicles, or worse, someone’s head! It was too the point that I wanted to build a piece of metal to reposition the mounting point myself if they told me one more time that everything was fine. The next time the technician arrived he agreed, it needed to be fixed by installing it the way it should’ve been the first time. I have been extremely patient and understanding up until this point. Yesterday, about a month and a half since they reinstalled our garage door opener something catastrophic happen with our opener and sensor wires. The wires got tangled up with the openers track pulling them off the walls and somehow opening our lightbulb cover. We are now without an opener and a door that is not able to open fully, requiring one person to hold it up so that a vehicle can get in or out. It is Saturday as I type this, with a service call window of 12-4, there goes today’s day off. I have attached pictures of the before and after mounting brackets, the drywall damage, wires and damage to the the opener's track, because they are worth 1,000 words.

The technician was very professional and completed the job. It was a complete service. Very happy and satisfied with the work performed.

Lance was our service repair man. Couldn't have been more pleased with him. He was very professional, very pleasant and did extremely great work.

I called Broten and they explained the different models of openers and costs over the phone. I called back to let them know which one we chose and they were able to set an appointment for that day. The technician arrived and was here about 2 1/2 hours installing the new opener motor, new inside control and outside keypad. The cost was exactly what was promised over the phone. I will definitely use them again.

I called Broten this morning and they sent William to my house later that morning. He is very knowledgeable and replaced the springs on the door. He also lubricated the hinges and the springs themselves and told me how to maintain the door for longer life before any additional work would need to be done. He replaced one of the light bulbs which had burned out and gave me his card and told me what signs to look for down the road when the door might need maintenance. I would highly recommend Broten and William.

ON June 21st 2017 I gave this company a negative review, because I was not satisfied with the product that was supplied and I had a "disconnect" problem with the person I subsequently spoke to on the phone. Since then, Broten's management has gone out of its way to make me comfortable and to retain me as a customer and I am completely impressed by the way they have reached out to me. Maybe it was just a bad day, or a misunderstanding, but I am now completely satisfied with this company. Anyone who runs a business is going to have the occasional upset customer, for whatever reason, but the key is to follow up and put it right, so this company has done that and I am once again happy with them.
