AMERICAN POOL RESURFACING COMPANY

Job was OK until 2 large cracks developed from routine walking in pool. The company wanted no responsibility. The woman I spoke with was belligerent and nasty. She told me the calcium was too low and is was my pool maintenance guys fault. Although I knew this was BS I took a sample and had it tested. The sample was fine and the merchant laughed when I told him why I was there. When I kept after them for several months they finally sent a threatening looking guy who told me he wasn't getting paid to fix the problem and tried to shake me down for some money. I now (still) have 2 large white patch jobs in the middle of a blue pool. My pool looks like it belongs in a bad neighborhood. It has taken much of the enjoyment out of an otherwise very nice pool. I would recommend you pay close attention to the the repair clause(s) in a contract when having this type of work done. In any event avoid this company at all cost.

They did a good job. They started within two days and were done four days later. The pool looks great and they charged several hundred dollars less than my neighbor paid for his pool.

Problems with the surface cracking became evident rather quickly and they grudgingly resurfaced the pool again at no additional cost in October 2003. Again we started to have problems soon thereafter and we called back. After letters, calls, visits, inspections, hiring a lawyer and going to mediation, they redid the pool in December 2005 after we paid the lawyer. The mediator believed they were acting in good faith to do the pool again after they had stated they would not for more than a year. Once again the pool was resurfaced and once again we had the same problems but no recourse this time since the mediator felt that the company had gone beyond the call of duty for us.
