They come out twice a year. They were very efficient. One guy came out to do the service. We had been dealing with another company for years. They had come out one weekend and didn't have the part to fix what needed done, which meant we would've been out of air conditioning that weekend, (and we live in Florida). The other company said it would take days to get that part, but Air Around the Clock got the part, fixed it, and we have been going with them ever since.

So far I've been pretty satisfied with their work. For the most part, their workers have been very good and they do very good at cleaning up after themselves. I've never had a problem and most of their staff is very honest.

They were ok. Their installers are bad, they put two of the air conditioners in backwards. They put the wrong one in the wrong place. Their home office didn't follow details very much and it wasn't until we were cited by the city that they bothered to pull the permits. But eventually the system worked right. We do have a warranty with them so if something goes wrong I will be calling them. If I was doing a new house, I would not use them. I would use them again for this house while the warranty is still in effect, once that warranty is not in effect anymore or for another project, H### no.

They are a little on the expensive side. The services were okay. They were fine. They are a little difficult to deal with. So many of these places these days, you struggle to set up an appointment day and time and they give a 4 hour window. That's pretty inconvenient lots of times. It was okay. They didn't have to do much. It was just a matter of checking the system out and changing the filters. I don't feel like they are responsive enough.

First things first, they said they pull permits and handle all of that. Not true. They did not pull any permits, no inspection, nothing. On a Friday, the workers came out, installed the two a/c units, inside and outside, for upstairs and downstairs. As they were working outside, it started raining heavily, so they left and said they’d be back another day to finish the work (slab extension, etc.). Perfectly fine. On Sunday, the a/c upstairs was no longer cooling. We called the company and they sent someone (different person) right away. The issue appeared to be that the a/c units outside were swapped, meaning the upstairs a/c was using the downstairs control and vice versa. The very nice gentleman explained the issue to us, then called the company and explained the issue to them. The next day, the same men from the initial installation came out. They were very rude and upset since apparently they “got yelled at”, their words. The nice gentleman from the day before left notes outside of which unit belongs where. So, instead of moving the units to match the wiring, the men cut the copper wiring to our house and swapped those. I’m not sure if this is standard or not. It would have been nice to have an inspector come out to see if this was up to code. The men also extended the concrete slab. They left when the job was “complete”. Apparently, it is up to the homeowner to fully complete the project by removing excess debris and removing the wood planks attached to the new slab. The slab was very sloppily done; no smooth top or edges to be seen. It’s not a huge deal, just another dissatisfaction. A couple of months later, the a/c unit upstairs started having issues. Long story short, the drain pipe was completely clogged up with the packing material from the unit, appeared to be insulation or something to that effect. They sent someone right away and he cleared it out. This issue was caused by pure carelessness on their part. It’s a shame. We were satisfied with the price and their responsiveness when there’s been an issue. We can let go of the workers being rude because they have a very tough job to do. If we knew for sure the cut wiring outside was up to code and would not cause problems, we could let that go, too. We just can’t let go of the permit thing. You said you pull permits and handle all of that, but it just was not true. I’m really hoping it wasn’t because you knew the work would not have been approved by an inspector.
Description of Work: Replaced two a/c units, upstairs and downstairs. Did not pull permits as stated they would. Luckily, a/c units are working fine right now. Would not recommend to others.

I think to me, warranty means something different than having to come up with nearly a thousand dollars when something goes wrong. It is not an old unit. It is two years old. They were the ones that installed it. I just thought that was kind of ridiculous after they replaced half of it. It has worked nicely.

I would say bad things about because I signed a contract with them and they came for the first maintenance ad did duct work they said I needed it and then the second time they came to do the maintenance they told me that the over flow in my air conditioner was leaking and a the guy was like a little bit arrogant and he precede to tell me that I needed a new A/C and he gave me a contract for $4500 and told me that the over flow was over flowing and I called and he came back and he went up in the attic and he came back down and he said that the corals are going to burst and I don't want to scare you but I have little bit of concern here you need not to wait on this and I called somebody that I knew was in air conditioning and my dip pan had been tilted the wrong way so that the water would dipped into the attic. They kept calling me and pressuring me. The first person that came out here and went up into my attic took a picture of the vent and told me that the vent was damage and that it needed to be replace after they replaced it I had to tell you my air vent worked better. The second guy that came out was awful he put the fear in me that my attic, that everything was going to come down through my ceiling, he told me don't wait the corals are really really bad. I had so many people telling me that air around the clock was horrible and it use to be a really good company but I guess they are doing like A/C technologies.

The company installed a new a/c unit back in November. When the inspection was done there was a minor issue with the placement of the air handler and the amperage of the circuit breaker. I called the company explaining what the situation was. The following day a supervisor came out to inspect the air handler and agreed it needed to be corrected. They accepted full responsibility. The company scheduled the repairs that was convenient to me. They arrived on time. Buddy (the lead tech) and three other techs got right to work. The supervisor arrived shortly after the crew did to be sure they knew what needed to be done. They worked diligently thru out the day only taking one break, Ten and a half hours later the work was complete. The following day Buddy arrived prior to the inspector to double check a few details. The inspector spent the time needed to be sure the job was done correctly and signed off on the paper work. The crew cleaned up after themselves and removed all of the trash and old materials. I can't say enough good things about the company. They took the responsibility to correct an error and did it very professionally. I highly recommend them and will continue to use them in the future.

The ac was not cooling well. The representative came to see what was going on. This was a prepaid visit for maintenance. He did nothing but open the ac and tell me it had to be replaced. He gave me a quote without asking about any concerns or questions I may have about a unit. The clincher was that if I wanted it changed that day, I would have to make a decision in the next 15 minutes. That's when I decided not to use this company even though we have recently spent about $13,000 with them. There was not a problem with the work, just that I don't like being pushed like that. I did not find it professional.

The initial repair of the electrical condenser part that initially failed went fine. The quote and financing process went smoothly. It was when the installation "technician" came out is when the problems started. They did initially arrive on time. There were 2 men, one did the air-handler and the other did the compressor. My wife was home during the install. The outside work was the least poorly done... so I'll start there... He replaced the slab... did a fine job. The new compressor was attached, as it should be, to the slab. The chase, where the pipes run up the wall into the attic was left completely open at the bottom... which would allow any kind of critter to crawl up along the pipes and into our attic. Problem... but not a huge deal. Now we come to the inside work. Basically, the guy installed the Air-Handler and a new condensate pump. Tells my wife that they're finished... but really they beat it out of there as soon as they're done... without really even waiting to see if the system is really cooling the house. Good news is... it WAS working... for about 2-1/2 hours. At which point the system just shut down. Nothing, no fan, no compressor... nothing. We called them to send someone out asap. It took a few hours to get someone out. When the next guy got there (This guy WAS an actual technician who, thankfully, knew what he was doing)... he was able to figure out pretty quickly what happened. As I initially suspected, the condensate pump wasn't working... so the unit ran right up until the tank got filled and shut the system down. Why didn't the pump work, you ask? Well... when the installer came to our house... the pump he brought was a 220v pump with a plug for a 220 outlet. But the closet (and the old pump) were set up for 110v. The installer... CUT THE PLUGS OFF OF BOTH PUMPS... AND REATTACHED THE 110V PLUG TO THE 220V PUMP. Are you serious?? I'm no electrician, but even I know that won't f-ing work. Not to mention that HAS to be some kind of serious fire-hazard! So of course... he didn't verify that the pump worked before he bolted out of the house. Fortunately, the guy who came to clean up the first guy's mess knew what the h he was doing... but it took him literally HOURS to re-wire, put in another new pump and do it all correctly. Furthermore... the initial installer never brought any kind of filters for the system. When I opened the closet... he had just one of our old filters leaning against the unit inside the closet. Filters are a HUGE deal in our house because we have 2 really hairy dogs that shed like crazy. Which the installer clearly knew. But he never said a word about it... just left the half-a leaning filter. I can just imagine having to have another tech come to clean the exchanger coils on a system only a couple months old. No... just no. The real technician didnt have any filters either... but at least rigged up a temporary solution until we could order some proper filters. So... we call the office the next day to lodge a SERIOUS complaint about the completely unacceptable installation job. We made an appointment with the installation manager to come to our house to hear our grievances. He cancelled the first appointment and re-scheduled. On the re-scheduled day, I left work early to get home on time for the 5:00 meeting. 5:00 came and went. 5:30... 6:00... no call. Finally he shows up well after 6:00 with the excuse that he got tied up in traffic coming to our house from Boca. Uh oh... I also work in NORTH Boca and didn't seem to hit ANY traffic. Hmmm. We showed him all the problems and we agreed that we'd settle for them fixing the mistakes and giving us a couple months worth of filters for our trouble. We are very easygoing folks. Another technician came out to install a better solution for the filters (but didn't bring the actual filters as they are a custom order size and needed to be ordered) and fix the open pipe chase outside. So... fast forward a couple weeks... still no filters. I try calling the office several times... and the installation manager never seems to be in the office and never seems to call me back. I got kind of busy with a job change and whatnot... so... fast forward another couple weeks... still no filters... Another round of calls... he never calls me back. Finally today, some technician calls to confirm he can come and re-measure for the filters... No filters yet... but maybe there's hope... ... So I initially typed out this review back in October 2015. Decided I'd wait a little longer to see if I ever got the filters that I was promised... So fast forward a couple months now... and I have placed another call or 2 to the office... and guess what!!!??? Still no dang filters. No phone calls back and a manager who just regularly dodges my calls. Worst customer service experience I've ever had... and I used to be a Sprint customer!
Description of Work: Called AATC to come out to check/ repair a malfunctioning AC unit. They did that repair and advised we needed a new AC unit. We agreed, since the unit was over 15 years old. The tech gave us a quote for the new system and we scheduled the install for a couple days later. They came, as scheduled to replace the old AC. They replaced the Compressor (outside unit) and the Air-Handler (Inside Unit).

Terry came out in September and took the time to look at the space in the attic ( the air handler is there). He answered all of our questions. My wife was interested in a humidistat. Terry explained why we didn't need to purchase one. I thought that was good customer service. Not trying to sell us something we didn't need. The company called a day prior to installation to confirm everything. Once the crew arrived (sorry I don't remember their names) they got right to work. The crew made it a point to lay tarps from the front door into the room where the attic was located. At one point there were 4 guys working on the project. Even though it was hot in the attic they stayed at it and didn't so much as take a break. They never complained about the heat. After they finished they took the time to be sure the unit was working properly and the condo was cooling off. They explained how to program the thermostat. They took care to clean up and haul away everything. They came back two days later to take care of a few minor things. I highly recommend them. They were professional and the price was fair. This is the company to use if you need any type of a/c work done.

On April 14 I paid air around the clock $485 for a three-year maintenance plan this evening The AC breaks down so I called Air around the clock they said it's after hours it'll be $150 charge to come out I agreed. A technician comes out he tells me he has to replace the dryers on the AC unit outside unit. The technician recharge the system stating that that should keep me cool until the following day when they would return and complete the repair on the AC unit. He stated the additional repair would be another $425 I said OK. He then asked me for $575. I told him the company said it was $150 for the work performed this evening I said I would pay him the additional money when the work was performed the next day he said he needed payment in full I said I'm not paying for something you have not done. Nor would anybody pay for work that has not been performed it's just common sense not to mention there's nothing in their contract that states that I have to pay for the work that has not been performed. He then stated if I did not pay him he was going to let the refrigerant back out of the system stating that it is company policy as I stated before there's nothing in the contract that states any such thing. Well he did just that he went back outside and let all the Refrigerant out of the system. On August 14 they came out and did routine maintenance on the AC system stating everything was fine with the unit. My argument here is they wanted me to pay for work that had not been performed I don't know of any company that conducts business in that fashion. I will no longer conduct business with air around the clock they practice deceptive trade practices. I would not recommend them to anyone Sent from my iPhone

Electric bills for my home have been steadily increasing as the warmer summer months have arrived. While doing a DIY project in my garage, I noticed papers, pictures, etc. moving (no wind). Upon further investigation, I noticed there is a panel laying flat against my AC unit and COLD air blowing into my garage. Panel is approximately 2" x 20". After the last service technician completed his/her work, the panel was never reinstalled. Customer service (has always) been rude, quality is jeopardized and I am looking for a new AC company. Management is 9x5, and honestly, at this point the maintenance is worthless. Notice the "B" rating - I expect this to continue and/or decline.

Technician arrived and spent a hour checking everything out and told me it was the smart board in the unit, and he would have to order it. This was friday morning. He said he would be out saturday to put new part in. Got a call from office that they have to order part from factory that it won't be here till monday. meanwhile the inside temperature of the house is 92 degrees! I was not happy at this point. Monday morning I called and was told they can't get here till tuesday. Tuesday morning I called and I was told a time between 11-2. The technician ( Joe) called and told me he had to go pick up the part and he would be there after that. Joe arrived before his scheduled appointment and was very apologetic for my family being so uncomfortable for the past 5 days. he had the board changed within a 1/2 hour and back to cold air. Thanks Joe.
