Description of Work: ATC installed a complete AC unit on 9/16/2010, for $3700.00. I noticed the AC was running a lot a year after the unit was installed. I called for service, and freon was added. Less than 6 mos. latter it cost $600, to have it fixed.

Description of Work: Our a/c went out last July, the hottest month in 2011. We had used AAC previously and they had 'fixed' a leak in our condensorcoil. It lasted about 4 months, then happened again. They came out and did a test in July and confirmed that there was a leakin the coil and they would have to replace it. It was still under warranty. They recharged the freon and told us it should keep us going until we got the new condensor coil. Three charges later (at $90 each), and only days in between, we had to buy a portable floor unit, it was so hot. Then when we called to ask about the part, we were told that the manufacturer had to "make" the part. All in all, it took a month for us to get the part, and when we'd call to check, we were told "we will call you, you don't need to call us". I will not use them again.

Description of Work: I have used this Company for many years without any incident. I have not wanted to generate a report, but it has been gnawing at me since June, and I wanted to comment. We called about our AC when it was blowing hot air and it was running continuously. Initially, they sent out a repairman who said there was a leak in the condenser coil, which caused the freon to leak out. He re-charged the freon, which cost $100. The repairman stated that it should last awhile...but it stopped blowing cold air 3 days later. When a different repairman came out, we were told that the condenser coil could not be repaired because it was aluminum and we needed to replace it. He stated it was still under warranty (under 5 years old) so it would be covered, except for $300 to install it...but the part needed to be ordered and would take 3 weeks. He re-charged it with freon (for another $100) and said it would probably run fine until we got the part. Bottom line: The unit ran out of freon after just 2 days; we had to pay another $100 for re-charge, then when we called again (because it only lasted a day), we were told the part had to be built at the factory and would take longer. June was the hottest month...over 95 degrees at times; we ended up buying a small unit just to be able to sleep at night. We had pets which were suffering and whenever we called to check, we were told "We'll call you when it comes in"... One month after the part was (supposedly) ordered, they came to install the new condenser coil. I was told by another a/c company that condenser coils CAN be repaired. We feel that AATC did not take our situation seriously enough and, because the coil was under warranty, did not see a need to act more quickly.

Description of Work: It was blistering hot and the AC stopped working. Air Around the Clock had someone out within 3 hours, repaired the faulty relay switch in the condenser and restored us to a livable environment again.

Description of Work: We have a maintenance contract with Air Around the Clock, and have had our two units serviced by them on a regular basis for 4-5 years. When the condenser stopped working on a Thursday evening in early July, they immediately scheduled a service call, came and the technician was able to pinpoint the problem and repair it within 45 minutes. I chose to have them come that evening and pay a bit more for the service versus waiting until Saturday when I could have me them to make the repair. The additional cost for immediate service was well worth my family's comfort during these hot days. I have always been satisfied with the service they have provided me.
