A1A Dock, Boat Lift & Seawall Services

Beware!!! Kelly, the owner, is a thief who stole my money. I hired him for a job and paid a deposit upfront. However, he never showed up to start the work. He stopped answering my calls and text messages immediately after taking my money. It's clear now that he never intended to fulfill his end of the agreement. Modus Operands: If you have your guard down he steal your money right off the bat. If you think you are prepare for the worse and you still want to dare, he'll wait patiently offering more work and then he'll strike back. I strongly advise against hiring Kelly or trusting him with any business dealings. He's untrustworthy and has left me in a difficult situation. I will be pursuing legal action against him to recover my money. Please be cautious and avoid any dealings with Kelly. This has been a costly lesson for me, and I hope others can learn from my experience.

He promised things he never did. When he returned my lift he returned the wrong pieces. Heis welding is horrible and sloppy.. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY>> HE IS BEING SUED!!!!!!!!!!

I submitted a request for quote on 11/29. Today is 12/12.... if they can't respond to a request in 14 days, I don't want to deal with them ever. We had a great company respond almost immediately, appointment set, proposal received and company hired in the meantime. They lost a $120,000 job.

A1A replaced my old wooden 100 sq. ft. dock with new composite planks in just a couple days, also reinforced the boat lift and painted the pilings to match the new composite dock. Very responsive, would recommend for other dock/seawall services.

Seemingly fine until he got red-tagged by city in January 2016. It took months to get permit, then he refuses to return to finish the job. The face of seawall cracked open after cap was poured, letting my back yard out, so now (9 months later and counting) there's a wheelbarow-sized hole behind the seawall. Kelly hides behind his Caller ID to avoid answering the phone, then never calls back. Despite claims on his postcard, he is NOT insured and NOT bonded. I would add he's NOT honest. He said he would do all work according to code; he did not. Avoid him. If you do hire him, don't pay a penny until you are 100% satisfied with the work. He IS a good talker, so I'm sure he'll come up with a story to try to explain away my bad experience.
