Walaschek Sealcoatin & Asphalt Paving

Walaschek took a large deposit and then took months to show up. The product they used immediately crumbled off the driveway. They said they would come back but never did. 6 months later my driveway is full of cracks and bare patches. I strongly urge you do not use this company. Poor product and terrible customer service.

I strongly discourage doing business with Walaschek Asphalt Services and their parent company Walker Design and Construction of West Palm Beach, FL. As the Treasurer of a condominium building in Delray Beach, Florida we had initially contracted with Walaschek over one year ago to perform minor repairs and asphalt sealing following our concrete restoration project and gave them a $7,335 deposit. After the scope of work changed significantly, we informed Brooke Meunier, Vice President, in May of this year that we would not be moving forward with their services as our requirements were beyond their capabilities and experience. We provided fair notice verbally and in writing over three months ago and requested a full refund of our $7,335 deposit, as no work of any nature had been performed. After numerous unanswered phone calls and emails to Brooke, I finally connected with the owner Grady Graham on his cell phone, who was highly unprofessional, abusive and extremely profane. He said to “deal with Brooke”, never to call him again and rudely hung up. Subsequent calls and emails to her and their companies have gone unanswered. We have been a client of Walaschek for over ten years prior to their acquisition by Walker. We have been left with no alternative than to pursue a legal remedy and are very disappointed in both of these companies and their total lack of professionalism and integrity.

Asphalt cracked , he never paid subs and a lien was put on my house - Never fixed and way over charged . I would NEVER use WALASCHEK and assoc . His reputation was from his father , company downhill now - good luck!

patchwork was good. Applied first coat of mu-mix and we waited to drive on it as instructed. Second coat applied 3 days later and we were told to wait 1 day then we could drive on it. We did as instructed, and we left tire imprints in the surface. Then cracks in the mumix started appearing around the patches, and we called them, said they would take care of it, but when they got back from vacation. I happened to be looking on my internet cameras and saw then applying something to my driveway days later. Had no idea they were coming out. When I got home, they had only patched half of the cracks. I thought they ran out of material, and texted them (Gary) to see when they were returning, and he texted back that the cracks were not covered in my contract, and that they only came by as a courtesy. My question to him was if that was the case, why did they apply something on some of the cracks and nothing on the others? Poor customer follow-up and service. Now I have to find another Mu-Mix retailer and either spend more money to hire them, or fix the patches myself. Buyer Beware!!!!

I used Walaschek Sealcoating twice. That alone says great things about the company. At no extra fee, they put another coat of asphalt onto my driveway, saying, "This is insufficient". Wow! Most companies would give you a slam bam thank you ma'am but this company wouldn't stop the job until it met their very high standards.

There were three separate lots that had to be sealcoated. In addition, all the curbs had to be cleaned, scraped, and painted. In addition, all the lines in the lots were restriped. Normally the lots had to be re-sealed every three to five years. The Walaschek sealcoating system kept the lots looking terrific, As mentioned earlier, the final time that they completed the job was in 2007. Most recently, in 2014, the lots had to be dug up and new asphalt installed to make new lots. There comes a point when the cracks in the asphalt are not superficial anymore, as they become fissures, making the asphalt break into pieces, thus new asphalt replacement is necessary. Since the complex was built in 1965 and lasted till 2014, that is 49 years of useful life that was achieved by proper care of the lots, which is almost unheard of in today's market. Walaschek Sealcoating had a very big part of that success. One other note. When I was the Manager at the complex, Gary Walaschek, the owner, was always on the job, working hard to do a terrific job, as the below pictures will show. So, if you want to extend the useful life of your parking lots, have Walaschek give you a quote. The material they use is thick and fills up any superficial cracks that you might have. You will certainly be happy with the outcome. Good luck!
