Repair was performed quickly after delays on part of vendor were overcome. Gunn convinced vendor to overnight missing part and installed quickly at earliest possible time. Very courteous and concerned.

I called them up, they came and did their work. They did a great job. If I had a little bit of problem, they came back to fix it. He thought he fixed it correctly. He said, if anymore problems, call me and I'll come back. They were back within the next day. I recommend them highly and would use them. There was nothing wrong. They did what I needed them to do. I called a couple of other people and they were there. They were efficient enough not to say, well, we'll have to call you back. They were there to help me out. Some people say, we can't do it today, call us back tomorrow. The price was reasonable because they didn't break my back. It didn't cost me a whole new machine.

Scott knew the problem immediately. Once the part came in I was scheduled, he called beforehand, was on time and I was doing wash in about 45 minutes. Scott will be my requested tech for all appliance needs I have.

Even though he is an authorized LG warranty & repair person, he kept telling me how bad their units were & that I was lucky to call him because few people would service LG. He claimed that the unit needed a fan motor, & that this usually fixed the problem I had; He didn't otherwise explain the error code. He eventually got the replacement part 3-4 days later, & claims he then needed to get an additional piece for it 50miles from here. He had a bit of difficulty removing & replacing the freezer drawers, & replaced the entire back panel! 1 day later the same thing happened & he said he "suspected it might happen"!!?? He claimed he would need another part, but there was only one in the country, according to his computer - he would order it from them. I elected to call another repair person, who told me over the phone what the problem was (re: the symptoms & the error code) & how to temporize until he could get to me. I found ice in the bottom of the refrigerator, as he told me I would. He repaired it & it has been good, since. Gunn refused to return my money without re-replacing my old parts ( I didn't want to have him in my unit again) - we finally compromised on my paying for the new parts he put in (which weren't necessary) & some of the labor. This is not Ideal, but I was,otherwise, stuck.

I called Gunn and within 30 minutes Scott appeared at my door. This was not an emergency call but I happen to get lucky that he was in the area. Scott was very nice, personable and polite. He fixed my ice maker with a simple screw, knew just what to look for when he opened the freezer. He listened to my machine and again, knew right what was wrong. I was well informed of my options for the washer as the repair would be quite expensive. He told me about the washer brand they sell and service but didn't push the item. More informative than pushy sales. I felt comfortable having him in my home and truly appreciate the honest job he did.
Description of Work: Ice Maker wasn't dispensing ice and washer making loud noises when running.

Great Scott was so nice. I called him to schedule an appointment, and eh said before he comes over. He asked if I had a new garbage disposal installed, which I did. He informed me that whoever installed it had forgotten to remove the cap. I checked and he was right. He saved me a service call. THANK YOU!!!

I called looking for a service for my 1 year old Samsung refrigerator which was no longer under warranty. The ice maker was not consistently making ice cubes but rather sometimes dispensed crushed ice instead. The company was nice enough to accomodate my request for an after 5 pm service call. The service person who came at about 6:15 pm (in the 5 - 7 pm window promised) was very nice and he said that I likely needed one of two parts and they would have to order both to see which (or both) parts that I would need. He also added that given the late hour that he wouldn't be able to order the necessary parts at that time (totally understandable) or to schedule the follow up service so I should call the company around late morning time to follow up. I called the next day at about 11:30 am, as I was asked to do, to follow up. The man who answered the phone said he was very busy and to hold. When he came back on the phone he said not to worry, even with how busy he was, as long as they called in the parts order by 4:30 pm it would still be fine and that he would call me back later on in the day, after he had a chance to call the parts order in. However, I didn't get a call back from him during the day at all, so at 4:55 pm (the end of the day) I called to see what was happening and if they were able to place the parts order. Also the technician had said that they might need a deposit from me in order to place the parts order and I wanted to see if that was the case and finally I also wanted to try to set up a follow up appointment to get the issue finally resolved. So I called at 4:55 pm and numerous times after that, but each time i called all I got was an automated response that the "mailbox was full". So I finally gave up calling them and decided to try to follow up in the morning. I called at 8:30 am the next morning (this morning). When I asked why noone had returned my call yesterday the man on the phone basically said that they were having a problem locating the parts, that working on Samsung is difficult and that they weren't sure if they could even find the parts. I replied that I understood but I thought that they should have at least called me back yesterday to give me a status update, and tell me that they were still trying to locate the parts. The man on the phone then got his back up and again said how hard it is to work with Samsung and to find parts and then said that I was being difficult and I two choices, to cancel my service with them (which it was evident that he wanted me to do) or they could keep looking for the parts, which he added might or might not actually be able to be located. I attempted to get a word in edgewise and tell him that my problem wasn't so terrible that I couldn't wait more time to allow them time to try to locate the parts, but then he proceeded to tell me that I had repeatedly called his office and that was I was annoying. I explained that I had no idea he had seen my numerous call attempts because each time that I had dialed their service number I got an automated response that said that their "mailbox was full". Apparently however he was actually seeing me call through each time even though all I got was the automated message. All I wanted to do was to get through to the mailbox if and when it was cleared out and leave a message for them to call me back as they had promised to do. Clearly I wouldn't have called back repeatedly otherwise. It was a waste of my time and I am not a stalker, contrary to what he was implying. Honestly I kept calling hoping that they would clear their full mailbox and I could just leave a message. In any event there was no need for him to get rude to me at that point and frankly if he had indeed seen that I had called repeatedly why didn't he just call me back? In any event, clearly at this point when he again said that he would just rip up my $50 service call check and I could go elsewhere I gave up and said do it and then I just hung up. I know that Samsung may be difficult but if so (1) why take the service call to begin with (2) but if you do take the service call you at least need to follow up with your customer and (3) if you can't complete the service becasue you can't get access to the necessary parts, you need to at least call the customer back to let them know that you are having the issue and resolve the problem one way or the other. The company did none of the right things and I don't appreciate the rudeness and the attitude on top of all of that. If you are having a bad day or days it really isn't my fault. Finally, Gunn Appliance, if you read this review, please get your phone service fixed so that your mailbox message doesn't say that your mailbox it is full when apparently you still can see that the customer has phoned you. I don't like wasting my time and coming off like a stalker but honestly how would I know that your mailbox was not full and that I shouldn't keep calling back hoping that you would clear out your mailbox so I could leave you a message. Overall the company's conduct turned out to be unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm sure that they are fine for service calls on other brands (or so most of the prior Angie's List reviews for the company indicate - which is why I called in the first place) but for Samsung service DO NOT call them or use them. I really feel really disrespected by the person on the phone and I also wasted three days when I could have found a differrent company who not only wants my business but will treats customers with the respect that they deserve rather than being ignored, insulted and finally being left high and dry, needing to start the service process all over again.
Description of Work: Ultimately didn't provide me with service promised and was rude on the phone and made alot of excuses for non-performance.

Scott came out an investigated the gas range, but found that it was working properly. Asked me to call him back if I have any future problems. Charged me $50 estimate/visit fee. Called the next day because of the washing machine was not cycling correctly. He identified the problem and fixed the issue and then unexpectedly applied the $50 fee for the gas range to the washing machine repair. Knowledgable, professional, courteous. Excellent.

Scott was very awesome and friendly I called him stating I found him on Craigslist and he very quickly let me know they only do Angie and not Craig... My bad And I really would not find a service on CL there is just something too creepy about that especially this close to Halloween!

My washing machine stopped agitating on Saturday. I looked on Angie's list for a repair person. I called Gunn Appliance Service but did not leave a message since the message did not name the company nor the phone number I called. I went on-line to a web site from a Angie's list link & created a work order. On Monday, I received a call from Tom saying that he saw my call from Saturday & asked when Scott could come to look at my washer. I suggested Tuesday afternoon since I was far from home. He asked if he could come that day. I said I could not be there before 4. Tom said Scott would call me and schedule a time. At 2 on Monday, Scott called & said he was ready to come to my home. I said I could meet him unitl 4. I got home at 4. Scott knocked a few minutes later. He tried a few things & fixed the agitator thinking it was fixed, but it still did not agitate. The motor was buzzing but not turning. He tried turning the rotor but it did not turn. He said I needed a new motor & that he would call back with a quote for a new & a used motor. Paid $50 for a service call which was to be a credit for the next visit. Never got a call or quote & my washer still does not agitate.

Called them at 1 pm and did not want to leave a message but got called back anyway. He came to my house and was finished with the job by 2 pm the same day. Awesome service. So in less than 2 hours was able to use my washer again! Will definitely call again!

So, I was the reviewer who slammed this company on my previous review. Things actually turned around and Scott, the owner, did in fact come by and fixed my ice maker. The entire horrible situation could have been avoided if my husband and I could have spoken directly to Scott and bypassed his employee Debbie. Not sure why he has her answering his phones in the evening, but would not recommend calling unless it is during the day. Scott also happens to be the technician. Had we been told and had we called him during the day, there would not have been any problem. He is actually a nice man who wants to fulfill his obligations to his customers and leave them with a positive experience, it is after all his company. When we finally spoke, without Debbie in the picture, we worked out the situation. He came back to my home, fixed my ice maker and was extremely professional and nice. I gave them an overall rating this time of A. This was my experience this time.......last time it was an F due to all the misunderstandings and inability to speak to Scott.

Description of Work: This guy was a jerk. He wanted to charge me for an estimate, and refused to give me a ball park estimate over the phone for a simple common repair problem, then tried to engage me in a argument about scheduling. I promptly dismissed further dealings.
