+ -1 moreHe said he would fix it and he went ahead and fixed it. They offer a 90 day period of time where if the item is not fixed they will stand behind it. The item was not repaired and the refrigerator was not working. We had food going bad and they sent out the same salesperson. The assistant was there while he was doing the repairs and she didn't see him do any of it. Now again it is not working. He didn't fix anything he just did some defrosting. Now we are calling him to tell him we still have the problem and if he's able to fix it or give me my money back. My assistant called him and he said he would call back at 12:00 and he never called back. Now we are trying to get him to send out his person again. I asked him when it would be he said well we have to set the schedule. I'm having a problem and this guy is just talking in circles and it doesn't seem like he has any intention of resolving this problem. The bottom line is that I understand he attempted to do repairs and I'm not denying that. He was very sweet and very nice. The assistant has been having to take her time to replace all the rotten food because she doesn't want the member to get sick. We just want him to come out and fix it or return the money.

+ -1 moreWe paid $50 for the guy coming out after a week to say they could not fix it. Really? And we still had to pay the $50.
Description of Work: They charged $50 for the evaluation on a stackable washer/dryer that leaked. They could not repair and did not honor the $20 discount for using Angie's on $50 fee - only on service if done, which they claimed they could not do.

+ -1 moreExcellent!! I went down the list contacting other appliance repair companies on Angie's List, but all of them were closed for the Labor Day holiday except GUNN APPLIANCE SVC INC.. I called them and explained the problem I was having with my washing machine and within less than an hour, their repairman Tom showed up. Tom was incredible! He was able to diagnos the problem and correct it in no time at all. This is a great company that I now have on speed dial if I ever have other appliance issues in the future. A+ company!

+ -1 moreThe technician replaced a starter and said it would take up to 24 hours to cool. He also explained that there might be other problems but he had to address this one first. Unfortunately after 24 hours it still was not working. I called back and the technician came back out. He said based on the age of the refrigerator (11 years) it would be costly to repair and he recommended I get a new one. He gave me back the money on the work previously done and only charged for the one service call. I appreciated the honesty.

+ -1 moreI give them an "A" rating in all categories. Early on a Saturday morning I found that my refrigerator was not working properly. I checked Angies List and then called Gunn Appliance. I left a voicemail message and was called back within 15 minutes. I was told that the technician would telephone to advise the time he would be at my home, and that it would be that morning. (He had two calls before me.) He did telephone in advance; he arrived at the expected time; quickly determined the problem; had the necessary tools; took apart sections needed with minimum disruption in the kitchen; fixed the issues and reassembled everything. All of this was done efficiently and cleanly.

+ -1 moreGREAT! Two weeks ago I called a repairman from Broward Appliance to repair my leaking refrigerator. He was like a bull in a china shop and charged me $155. It is now a Sunday, two weeks later, and my refrigerator is leaking again. I called Broward Appliance and no one responded. I then checked Angies list and called Gunn Appliances. The phone was answered immediately and within 1 hour the repairman was at my house. I could tell immediately that this man knew what he was doing. I showed him my receipt from the other company that showed what repairs had been "done" only to find out that no repairs or heater installation had been done. The repairman was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He walked me through every step of the repair. He was extremely neat and made sure everything was neat and clean when he left. I wish there were a higher rating than an "A". The repairman deserves it! Gunn has a customer for life! Thank you for saving the day!

+ -1 moreWe called this service on a Wednesday to try to get someone to come out and fix our dryer and we were told that someone would contact us the next day from 4-7. Thursday afternoon rolled around and no one called so I called back and the first 2 times it went straight to voicemail the third time someone answered and I was told that they would call the following day (Friday) and they would be able to send out someone of Saturday. Friday came and no one called us so obviously they either don't want our business, are booked up or are just extremely unprofessional. Either way I don't recommend unless you like chasing around people from an unprofessional company.

+ -1 moreThey were really first class. He took care of it in no time at all. They are good people. I would absolutely use them in the future. He was a very personable individual. I think it is two guys that do it. When I called, the one that did not come out the first time knew who I was. He recognized me after a year later. It was amazing to me, and that kind of set the deal right there. The other guy came out that day. He told me approximately what time he would be here, and he hit it within 30 minutes. He wasn't here an hour and the problem was resolved.

+ -1 moreScott dismantled each oven door on my double oven and actually personally cleaned each of the five panes of glass, in addition to replacing the broken glass with a new panel. He was meticulous and genuinely took his time to do the cleaning himself so that the job was to his satisfaction. He took great pride in his work and was a pleasure to have around. I had planned to clean the glass while the door was dismantled but was surprised and thrilled that Scott took the time and care to do it himself, truly expertly. I'm so glad I found this company.

However, there's no excuse for failing to honor an appointment, actually twice, without the courtesy of a cancelation phone call. After this experience, I was fortunate to find another company; one that values new business and respects the value of my time and my tenant's time.
Description of Work: Provider scheduled appointment, when I called to confirm, he had no record of appointment. He said he would come out anyway that same day. He never showed up or extended the courtesy of a phone call.

Description of Work: When I called, I told them I had a sub zero frig. The tech that showed up said he was not familiar with sub zero and called another tech to help. The onsite tech stated he had to install a relay switch because the condenser was not getting electric. He said he need another part and he called in to the office. The tech told me the part was hard to find because the frig is 17 years old and they do not make the part anymore so they will look around and call me back in 1 hour (this was on a friday) and advise me. I did not receive a call back at all and on Monday morning I called and "TOM' spoke to me. He said the machine is obsolete, and I have to replace it. He said that they would continue to look for the part needed, but he is not sure he could get it. Then he said that I should continue to call him to find out of the part was found as there isn;'t any secretary's at the office and they expect the customer to keep calling. (this is very strange). Anyway, I called SUB ZERO, who told me that the refrig is not at "end of life" and they sent over a tech who they use for repairs. The frig is now working again after the missing parts were replaced. Even tho the repair cost me $1,700, you company almost cost me $9,000 which is the replacement cost of the unit. I cannot recommend your company as the service was completely bad (for me to keep calling) and the diagnosis was completely wrong. In the future, if your company does not know how to fix a specific unit, they should just say so. I am available to talk also.
