 + -1 moreThe owner and his workers showed up exactly on time, and ready to work. they found several problems and showed me what was needed to correct them...and came up with some easy fixes for several overgrown areas that weren't working correctly. they priced out the cost of materials and labor separately and offered to do the work immediately. Having had other people work on these systems in the past, I knew that the prices they were giving me were reasonable, and they completed everything with in a couple of hours. They were all friendly, worked hard and efficiently and took car4e that I knew I could call on them if anything wasn't working right over the next few days. I can highly recommend them.
Description of Work: I purchased the coupon for half price evaluation, knowing that I was having issues with various malfunction sections of my irrigation system.

I'm spending more time writing this review than it took them to repair my broken line, but their service was so commendable, it only deserves the best write-up In could possibly give. Thank you to Bill and your crew for your professionalism, help and quality work. You're a drink of fresh water!
Description of Work: Called Bill (at Dal's) from Angie's List referral to do an emergency repair a major break on a main PVC water line at our property (thinking it was part of the in-ground sprinkler system). I told Bill we needed someone ASAP to repair the leak and we couldn't find the main water shut-off valve. He calmly explained it would either be the side of the house, and if I couldn't find it, not to worry and simply call the City's water department and tell them we had an emergency and they would come out and shut off the water. I thanked him and before I rushed off the phone, he asked for my address, and said he would call the Water Department himself so I didn't have to look it up in my panic. He called back to confirm that he had spoken to them and they were on the way. Sure enough, the City's water department showed up, shut off the main water line, and shortly after I was pleasantly surprised to see Bill's truck and crew pull up. After evaluating the situation, he told the water department crew that he would repair the line and turn the water back on so they wouldn't have to come back. He told me because the break was so easy to repair, he would only charge me $50 for everything. They went straight to work, had the repair done in 10 minutes, then turned on the water at the meter, tested it, noticed there was still water running (which we found a faucet around the back of the house that had been left on), shut it off, tested it again to make sure everything was working perfectly.

 + -1 moreDal came initially to do a sprinkler irrigation check i had purchased from a deal on Angie's list. We talked about issues i was having at home with the current system and my desire to have a green lawn. On the same day he replaced my old system/pump, changed all the heads and replaced the outdated timer. My lawn is 110% greener than it's ever been since I've purchased my home 2 years ago. The prince was high for me being an educator and every penny counts. In the long run I will save money. Quality service and products aren't cheap. The timer is set, i have not had to worry about it since. Both gentlemen that came were pleasant and nice to work with. I would recommend them and use their services in the future. They are very busy so schedule ASAP. I had to wait a couple week, but it was worth it.

Their recommendation was to check the schedule to see if time was "slipping" behind, because the fears on my timer were getting old and slipping. I wll definitely call them when and if I have to replace that timer. Greta guys and very friendly.
Description of Work: I had them come check out my system, which they did. They were thorough, fair and accurate, and recommended that I keep an eye on my timer, which was old and the gears were starting to slip. I will use them again, if I ever need them.

 + -1 moreBill and his team came out and were professional, knowledgeable and personable. I would hire them again. Paid $49 for the Angie deal which specifically states what will be done and for any additional work, "An Estimate will be given for any repairs needed." The only issue was that I did not get an estimate before getting a bill. I was surprised at the charge even when Bill explained that he was giving me a discount. From my perspective, it appeared that the labor involved as part of the coupon was dismissed because the labor charge seemed to be based on the time at my house which included the coupon time. Therefore, in my opinion, the price would have been about $147 (without the coupon of $49). If I had to do it over again, I would not buy the coupon since it seems to have little value. Now, let me give the biggest positive of Bill and his team. They truly wanted to solve my problem and tried to get creative. They were understanding and on top of every issue I presented. In addition, even when my wife didn't like one of our ideas, Bill came back and exchanged the head without charge. Now that's service!!!
Description of Work: Paid $49 for the Angie deal to inspect, adjust coverage and unclog heads. They ended up replacing a lot of heads and replacing a bad part in my rain sensor.

 + -1 moreBill and his crew arrived on time and we walked the property and they flagged areas of concern. An hour later they had overhauled the entire system, replaced some heads that were not appropriate for the area they were spraying, re-routed some pipes to water areas not currently getting any water. As they were checking the heads, one broke during the inspection, Bill replaced it free of charge even though it was perished, as it broke during the check-up. Now that's great customer service. They arrived at 8.00am and were done by 9.00am. What a fantastic experience! I would highly recommend Dal's Sprinkler & Landscaping.
Description of Work: Our sprinkler system hasn't been serviced since we moved into our home 10 years ago. I replace sprinkler heads when they break but I felt it was time for a full check up.  + -1 moreDal's made an appointment to meet me for an estimate and he was right on time. Since he wasn't quite sure what he was going to find, he gave me the estimate on the pump, timer, rain gauge and valve and said he would have to call me once the work began to let me know the cost of the renovation. Although it was a little more than I hoped to pay for the work, they did a great job and I am very pleased with the system. Bill is very, very personable and handles everything very professionally. The zones stopped working properly after a couple of months and they came out and got them going each time and charged me for the service calls. Bill stated that I needed a new well to eliminate the problem and told me that would cost an additional $2,000. A friend who was visiting said the zones not changing would have nothing to do with the well. He put some waterless grease in the zone valves. It took less than 10 minutes and they have worked for over a year now without a problem. Just saying.........
Description of Work: Dal's installed a new pump, timer, rain gauge and 3 zone valve as well as renovation of a 40 year old system that wasn't working at all. Pipes were moved to allow for installation of a 2 car driveway and sprinkler heads were replaced and relocated for coverage.

Description of Work: I explained to Justin that I had several brown patches where previously there was green grass. I had been told that I have not sprinkler coverage in those areas by another company. He and his assistant did a quick "dig and look" and found the pipe under ground with no attached head. In addition, they extended one pipe about 12 inches to get better coverage in my corner garden. He explained that the sprinkler heads that were previously installed were not commercial grade. He "serviced the system" which means turning on each zone and seeing what is working and what is not, cleaned and adjusted heads, replaced bad heads and inserts, raised a few heads for better coverage, installed one 4" pop up. 1 shrub head; and 3 6" risers with connections; replaced 5 inserts with screens. There were two men and they worked for exactly one hour. At the end of his work he told me about their maintenance program and I am seriously thinking about doing it so I don't have to worry about when was the last time we serviced the system. I would highly recommend them. It takes a few days for them to get to you but it is well worth the wait.

 + -1 moreVery professional and friendly guy from first contact to job completion. Came early to my home to quote the job to accommodate my work schedule, kept me informed when a snag was hit. Only snag was they hit my internet cable and forced me to deal with AT & T/Bellsouth/Uverse/whatever they are called this week. I understand that if they had to call in for line locations it would hinder ability to get work accomplished, so I would suggest anyone hiring this company (or any other company) to do work that involves digging, to schedule the work a couple of weeks in advance and call to get your yard marked (power lines, telephone, etc, etc) in advance. That blip apart, I was very impressed by Bill's knowledge and friendly demeanour, he made a couple of suggestions and took the time to explain why he made them, and also amended his initial plan due to a last minute curve ball I threw him. System now works like it ought to, great coverage with less heads! Next time I need work done on my sprinkler system, this is who I will call.
Description of Work: Removed old heads, relocated various feed lines, capped heads no longer needed, installed all new heads, installed new timer and rain switch. My system was very old, and must have had around 7 different kinds of sprinklers that were placed in weird locations by previous owner(s) and/or original builder.

 + -1 moreWe got them off Angie's List. We have an acre so they went through the whole property and we spent $425 because there was a lot of stuff that had to be done. They were excellent. We've been here since 2000 and I can't tell you how many people we've had for our sprinklers because we do have a large piece of property and they've never been good. Dal's were really good. After they left, two weeks later we found a leak right in front of the house, we called and they came immediately. I don't really have a comparison other than years before but prices have gone up so I don't know if their price was good or bad. We didn't expect to be spending that much but we had a lot that had to be done. The quality was very good. Everything they did was very good. They were very professional.

My yard was almost dead from no water and I am happy to say that in just a few weeks my grass is greener than it has been in a long time, thanks to the guys from Dal's Sprinkler and Landscaping.
Description of Work: The gentlemen from Dal's, were great. I had made an appointment and the men arrived on time ready to work. They fixed or replaced my sprinkler heads. They serviced and repaired watering system, rebuilt the zone value and installed a new rain sensor. Also they put in three 24 inch risers and connectors, installed 4 pop up misters, one pop up rotor, 10, inserts with screens. The guys were polite and very informative about my yard and shrubs giving me some good advice. I will call upon these guys again when I need them. Very happy with the service and job they did.  + -1 moreIt make take Bill a day or two to return a voice mail message but it is WELL WORTH THE WAIT! My original plan was to have him replace the timer, a few sprinkler heads and to check the system. When Bill arrived, he walked the property with me and explained "the good, the bad and the ugly" of the existing system in detail. I understood his concerns immediately and agreed with his assessment without hesitation. Within two hours of his arrival, he had a crew onsite and all of the work was done to perfection. Bill took the time to walk the property with me again and point out, in detail, exactly what had been done. The work that Bill and his crew did was above and beyond my expectations and I am extremely satisfied. The system is working better than it has in years and I plan on calling Bill every six months to keep it that way!
