I called Dal's Sprinkler and Landscaping just a few days after joining Angies list as I need a few contractors to get some things done. I left a brief message with what I needed done. Bill called me within 24 hours later well within the stated time on the angies list, and we talked through what kind of work I needed. He scheduled to come by in a weeks time in the morning. Bill arrived on time, and even slightly before the time he stated. It was easy to tell he is a very personable business man and discussed with me about what I wanted to have done listening to my concerns about my current sprinkler setup. You can also tell he knows his stuff about sprinkler systems and is happy to share whatever knowledge with you to make you comfortable about what needs to get done. He also gave me multiple options on the work with the pros and cons of each, also stating my pump could have worked a little while longer might just need to prime it or replace a seal on it. I went ahead and replaced everything so I don't have to worry down the line. After he gave me the quotes, I told him which one I wanted to go with and Bill and a worker with him immediately went to work. They finished in the afternoon, and throughout the process had come to get me to show me the work they have done so far, and asked me if I had any concerns, wanting to be sure it was to my satisfaction. I had some comments on what I would like to change, and he went ahead and fixed things up to my liking. He cut down half or more the number of sprinkler heads I had before and my garden also now gets complete coverage which it wasn't getting before. Come this summer the lawn should look amazing now with no weird patches where I didn't have coverage before. My flowers should be growing amazingly as well. I am very happy with Bills work and I would definitely both use him again, and I will tell others about his work. It's not easy to find good people that are not out to screw everyone and just make an honest living. This is one of the reasons I came to angies list in the first place.. and I can say confidently Bill is one of those good guys.

Called Dal's up and explained a problem I had with my sprinkler system. He set up a date and time to come out and was on time. The techs quickly solved my sprinkler valve issue and located the remaining valves for me. They changed out a bunch of heads and made adjustments to the system and when they were done everything worked perfectly. He even programmed my rain bird system so it's fully automatic and I don't have to do a thing. I am very happy with the service i received.

Dal and his colleague arrived on time (early actually), were very friendly, explained everything they were doing clearly so I could understand, and completed the work quickly. Our sprinkler system hasn't worked well for a long time and now it's working perfectly. Will definitely hire them again.

Bill and his crew performed major repair/replacement work on our entire sprinkler system in October, 2013. A month later, while we were landscaping, we apparently damaged two of the sprinkler supply pipes. I called Bill, who sent one of his employees over to assess the damage the same day. He called me back and told me the repairs could be done and, although his company was very busy at the time, he'd get it done as soon as he could. His employee came out three days later, on a Sunday afternoon and while we were out on a bike ride. Bill and his crew of two were GREAT to work with! He is very personable and knowledgable, being in the business 30-40 years. I was impressed that he got right in and worked with his guys, getting slung with mud more than once. I called him late last week, immediately getting a nice first impression on the phone. He agreed to come out Tuesday, 2/25, at 8:00. They were right on time, even a little early, which was great because I was very excited to get these sprinklers going. My yard was a total disaster sprinkler-wise. The back yard had zero heads pop up and actually start watering. Most were broken off or long buried under dirt and grass. They went right to work putting flags by broken heads and feeling around with their feet for emerging ponds where heads were buried. Soon my back yard was full of flags and they methodically went to work uncovering them and fixing what they could to build up enough pressure to expose more heads. The front yard had such a large break in the line leading to the first heads that that required immediate attention just to get the heads to activate. Bill's helper went right to work, replacing the old soft black hoses that were full of splits and makeshift clamps from previous owners with nice new PVC pipe. It was a pretty extensive repair just to get water running. When the front yard sprinklers finally came on, same story as back - many broken and malfunctioning heads and several more breaks in line were detected, evidenced by small lakes forming. There were 18 small heads in the yard. Bill suggested going with a different sprinkler that would give move coverage and we would replace 18 with only 5 needed. Sounded good to me. So they went to work relaying out some line, capping spots no longer needed, and fixing more leaks that continued to emerge in both front and back yard with new PVC. They had to do some creative engineering on the side yard to get pressure to the heads there, running a new trench and line from a stronger source. The side yard's day of being brown are over! So - to sum up. I basically had no sprinkler system at all really. Nothing worked right, bad layout, had a wall switch and valves to turn just to get geysers and lakes in my yard. All working beautifully now! I actually set my alarm for 3:55 AM Wednesday morning just to watch them turn on and run. Bill kept me informed every step of the way with what needed to be done and the price involved. He and his guys were here from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and worked tirelessly. I feel the work was done exceptionally well for a very fair price. My neighbor even asked if they could stop by. They attacked her yard after mine and got all her heads running in less than an hour and she was delighted as well. GOOD JOB to Bill and his crew. THANKS!

I had initially given them an F as they were a no show and we couldn't get hold of them back in February 2014. We gave them a second chance in I believe August 2014 and I am very glad we did. We had a break in the supply line between the sprinklers and the supply line to the house that flooded my entire yard in 4 inches of water. Needless to say I had >$500 water bill that month. Dal's came out even though we were working, performed all of the work and did a great job. They were very professional and helpful, especially since we were in dire need of a fix. Price was much more reasonable than I expected. I would definitely use them again.

Found their service to be honest and reliable. I now have them inspect our sprinkler system quarterly.

I needed to adjust my previous review because the review was skewed my the web page in terms of my responses. Bill is "A " across the evaluation criteria! Bill, is the ultimate service provider, you will be hard pressed to find a sprinkler specialist better than Bill.

Asked if they old do a tune up on my present system and quoted me a very high price to replace a sprinkler pump and sprinkler heads. Their markup on items I was familiar with was extremely high. Their work was okay but couldn't afford to have them do anymore other than replace the pump. Got another company to finish the work who did an exceptional job and was very moderately priced

Very professional. Showed up on time and tried their best to salvage any sprinkler heads that they could. The parts they installed were of high quality. Upon completion, they called with a complete debriefing of all the work that was done. I checked the work and it looks great.

The connection of my sprinkler's line from the lake had clogged and created a leak at the main pump. The line was unclogged, a buoy was connected to the line to prevent it from sinking to the bottom of the lake and getting clogged again and the main pump leak was repaired. The remainder of the system was checked for problems and now all is working properly. Excellent and prompt service!

It went very well. I called and they came out quickly on Saturday and it was done the next Wednesday morning. Bill was polite, explained everything thoroughly, was very knowledgable about sprinkler systems, and gave me a price that was not added to after the work was done. He was the one who,came back with his few, which was helpful. I enjoyed every aspect of the process and HIGHLY recommend them.

The company was timely in setting up the appt and on time. They performed the tune-up and quoted for additional work that needed to be done to get the system to 100%. Having worked with several other sprinklers companies, in hindsight their costs were higher than others. They did perform the job well. The issue I had is when I asked them to come back and fix a sprinkler head they installed. Even though their work is guaranteed, the manager tried to say it was probably an issue with the landscapers running over th head or some other issue that wasn't their fault (before agreeing to return to the property to inspect). The head was not damaged, it just wasn't installed securely. Based on the amount paid for the work, and my inevitable increased water bill, I had to be insistent that they come to check and fix it at no additional charge. They did come and fix it no-charge but not without some attitude about doing so. Maybe just a bad day but it didn't leave me wanting to use their service again.

They were professional and responsive. They arrived on time. I would use them again in the future and would definitely recommend them.

I wasn't expecting to pay $1500, but I didn't receive any other estimates so this price may be right in line. Dal was extremely friendly and he and his team worked efficiently to complete the work within four hours. They arrived exactly on time and left no mess. I would definitely recommended their services.

Bill was very prompt and let me know what repairs needed to be done. He replaced the valve, let my system run on my scheduled irrigation day, and then came back and checked the whole system.

Terrific! Came within an hour of my phone call. Replaced faulty latch and noticed that the security latch on adjacent door was not properly seated so repaired that as well. Fast, neat, professional. Highly recommend.

Called three different companies, they were the only one that called back promptly and were able to come out to give me an estimate. The price seemed reasonable and we scheduled a service appointment. They called to let me know that we had to reschedule once. But then they showed up and completed the job quickly.

First and most important they actually showed up for the estimate unlike so many of the other contractors out there. When it came time to do the job they exceeded all of my expectations. Dal's showed up on time with a courteous and professional group of men to do the job. I was a little worried at first because they wanted to start at 8am on a Saturday. The men arrived on time, they were courteous, clean and quiet. The job was started on time and finished on time. They did end up having to add some new sprinklers in our back yard to make sure the coverage was correct in all areas which was an additional 100.00. I wan not upset about this because we were warned that this might be the case even before we got started and they asked for permission. before they proceeded with the extra work. These guy were awesome in my opinion and I would recommend them to anyone who needs this type of work done. They will not be disappointed.

I called Bill back in June for him to come out and give me an idea of what needed done - cost, etc because we were re-sodding quite a bit of a very large yard, doing major cleanup of trees and shrubs, planting new plants and I wanted a professional opinion of what needed done first. He was cordial, prompt and helped me with planning because a lot of sprinklers needed to be relocated. I had hoped to start the job in July but things came up and it was September before we could begin and Bill remembered our conversation and the job discussed and was able to come out within a week of my call to do the work. He came with 3 guys, supervised and stayed on the job till it was done. They worked fast and hard and had a difficult time with several of the sprinklers that had been overcome by large roots, hidden by foliage and just didn't work. I was pleased with the cost as we had used another company for another home last year and they did 1/2 of the work Bill and his crew did and it cost nearly as much as Dal Sprinklers. They also came out after all the landscaping and sod work was complete to make sure all the plants were properly covered. They even had to move a few of the sprinklers at that time. They also returned to add 2 more sprinklers in an area that wasn't getting enough water and didn't charge us extra for either of those visits. Very nice experience, very fairly priced and would definitely recommend them.

They did a great job. However, had them back for a 2nd visit and they said that only thing that would fix my system was to get a new pump (I have a very old one) to the TUNE OF $3,000!!! I felt that was a ridiculous amount of money. Many months later, my pump is still working fine. Also one of the workers left a shovel here on the last visit - I called them about it and they never came back to pick it up. So I was initially very pleased with them and their work but felt they were trying to trick me into a big purchase that I didn't need.

I gave them a good review last year and I have been meaning to remove that review and give them a bad review because they ripped me off and I didn't realize it at the time. They had scammed me. They convinced me and that it was in my best interest to change the pump that runs my sprinkler system because I wasn't getting good water flow and that cost me a lot of money. Then they also convinced me that I needed to change out all of my sprinklers and readjust the sprinkler numbers as part of that process because my water pressure was somewhat low. In fact, over last winter, I had a problem with my sprinkler system and it turned out that there?s a valve that needed to be replaced because I have low pressure and I have personally replaced this and it cost me $22 at the plumbing store. It was an hour?s worth of work and since it has been replaced, the issue was resolved. So they really scammed me. I paid $1,300-1,400 in cash worth of work and it was completely and utterly unnecessary and they knew it. They charged me $500 on the pump plus $100 in labor for that piece alone. I was looking for an owner?s manual on the pumps online and Home Depot retailed it at that time for $300. It was gross theft. It was series of discoveries over the course of 6-8 months. It made me realize that I had just been completely ripped off. I chose them because they are very highly rated. I genuinely liked them and thought they were wonderful, I even fed them lunch. It was a father, a son, and a helper who did the work. They brought the grandfather along. I was just charmed by them and impressed because they seemed very knowledgeable and seemed very honest. I did e-mail them after I found out about the pump and I never received a response. I asked that they refund part of that money. It was an ugly experience and I'm quite disappointed.
