Auto Transport - United Freight Of America

Perfectly. I was able to contact Guy from United Freight of America during the week, quickly when ever I had a question. This company serves as the broker to obtain various carriers to move the car. When the original auto carrier I was assigned to had a mechanical problem, Guy quickly found another one and I did not have to wait an extra minute until my car took off. The driver of the car carrier was polite, professional, and contacted me regularly along the trip. He was within 5 minutes of estimated pick up and drop off times. I did give him a generous tip prior to leaving on the journey as I could tell he was very conscientious of his job. This was my first experience with shipping a var and I appreciated everyone's efforts. Well worth the money.

I shopped around a lot for this as long distance automotive moving appears to be a somewhat shady business, but not with United Auto Freight. Guy took care of me and answered all my questions along the way. Pickup and drop off of the vehicle was without difficulty and I always had contact numbers for the drivers.

I had been trying to price out transport for some time but the research was difficult and unreliable. I saw United Freight on Angie's List with a high rating and chose them. Them contacted me immediately with a very fair price (plus $100 discount for Angie's List) picked up my car the next week, on the scheduled day, and delivered it 7 days later as promised. Excellent service.

Booking the service might have been the easiest phone call ever made. Ely, who assisted me with figuring out dates for pickup and delivery, was very knowledgeable and happy to answer all my questions. The deposit was made that day, and our transport application completed. I was told that the pickup of the car would happen on October 18th, 19th or 20th (Tuesday through Thursday), most likely, and would be delivered approximately 5-7 days after that pickup occurred. I informed them that I was flying to Arizona on the 24th of October, so the pickup needed to be before then and delivery later than that date. The carrier that United Freight booked for my car transport had a complete transmission failure in NY State somewhere. I was notified of this problem later in the afternoon of October 20th. The next morning, I received a call again stating that the truck wasn't just going to be late... it was not coming. There was too large of a repair needed to get underway again, so a different carrier would need to be contracted. And...by the way... due to a software update, our office closes in about an hour for the weekend. They would be back on Monday.... the day I was leaving by air. They were very sorry, but there was nothing they could do. If a cancellation occurred on a truck heading through Ohio heading to the Far West, then I might luck out and get a ride over the weekend. I was informed that was not likely. Much more likely, they would find another "ride" for me by the middle of the next week. Fortunately, my husband was also flying to AZ but about a week after I did. He had work to complete before leaving Ohio, so he was here when Tonne Transport called and made arrangements to pick up the car on Thursday, October 27th, exactly one week late. The car arrived in Tucson on November 3rd in the later afternoon. Other than having a lot of road dust/dirt on it, my car was in excellent condition. My husband stated that the driver was exceptionally easy to work with as far as scheduling the when and where of the pickup arrangements. I incurred an extra $200 expense due to needing a car rental. United Freight incurred an extra $200 in charges from the carrier. The quality of the transport was uppermost in my mind, and the fact that my husband flew out later than I did saved the day. I think United Freight did what they could under the circumstances. They were caught off guard by the cancellation from the first carrier and had to scramble to make the transport work at all. We lucked out due to our staggered scheduling. Had that not been the case, we would not have been able to move the car at all. I waited until returning to Ohio to write this review. At the time all of these things were happening, I was pretty nervous and upset. And I did want to write a fair assessment of the entire process. It would be helpful to know on time statistics from each company when making these decisions.

Everything went as promised. The company kept me well informed by phone and email about the pickup and delivery. The car was picked up well within the time window promised. The driver was very friendly and helpful. The same can be said for the delivery. The price was very competitive.

Scheduling was easy, called when they said they would and the car arrived sooner than I expected. Driver was very polite and helpful. Wonderful job.

Excellent - Service was door-to-door. United Freight let me know the car would be picked up anywhere from Monday to Wednesday and they would call ahead -which they did. The car was picked up with no issues. Transport was quick and I received an email letting me know the car would be delivered by 11/15/2016. The driver called on Sunday night to let us know he would be making delivery on Monday afternoon 11/14/2016. Again - door to door service, on time, if not early. Courteous, follow-up service from the office to the driver. Would certainly use United Freight for any future moves.

The fact that I could leave at my Toyota dealer (due to Toyota's kindness) made it easier for me and for the pickup by United. As Toyota told me "there are auto haulers in and out of here all the time". United then delivered it almost too early as getting the necessary money in hand on a Sunday was a little bit of a challenge. It would have been an improvement for me to know that it had been picked up and what the possible scheduled delivery might be (ie. Sunday). I di get a call on Saturday the day before but it was int he afternoon after the banks had closed. SO had to use two different funding sources at the ATM - lucky.

Driver kept in contact with me on his progress to my pick-up location. The pick-up went smoothly and the vehicle was delivered on schedule.

Very well. Had a bad experience the last time car had to be transported so very happy with this company's transparency and prompt replies to our calls and questions.

I give United Freight Of America a B for overall service. Our cars arrived but not without hiccups. When I sent my paperwork in to schedule our pick-up, I put 10/27/16 as our pick up date. I called when I had not heard from them, and was told that they did not do weekend pick ups and my dates were a three day window beginning 10/31/16. Fast Forward to 11/1/16-I called for a pick up time and I'm told now the pick up date is moved to 11/3/16 with the cars delivered the following day. I would not have minded the change but my issue is that they did not communicate this with me, I had to call and see when our cars would be delivered. Further, Ely seemed annoyed when I asked why the new time was outside the 3 day delivery window. Overall-United Freight Of America isn't a bad shipping company, BUT once they have your money they essentially do what they want and you're left waiting around for your vehicles. The subcontractor that dropped off our cars was great. He called us the with the window our cars would be delivered. The day of the drop off he was early. Because our hotel parking lot hotel was small we met at Lowes. Overall, I would recommend United Freight of America, the price is drastically lower than other companies. Just be flexible.

Over all it went well. Had some issues with pick up. Party I bought car from were given a hard time by personnel with truck. Were looking for them to move car out to carrier when that was their responsibility. Car was delivered in good condition here in Florida.

I was contacted and given a price quickly after contacting them through the website. I had also contacted other companies and they were either much higher, or the dates didn't work. These guys accommodated all the parameters we had. They were professional, followed up, kept my informed. The driver that actually showed up was AMAZING! He was extremely professional and a gentleman to boot. I would highly recommend and will use again if the need arises.

This was my first experience transporting a passenger vehicle by carrier.? By comparison with other service providers I contacted for quotes, United Freight made this?process?relatively simple and straightforward, answering all my questions directly and honestly.? Moreover, the assigned carrier was very professional, courteous and punctual.? The vehicle was picked up and delivered on schedule without any surprises.???

We had just sold our home in Connecticut and were still in the process of buying our new home in Georgia. We were in a hotel when the drive came to pick up our car on the date we requested. We were in a hotel in Georgia when they delivered our car to us on the date promised. Everything was in great shape and we were able to get around and finish buying our new home.

Terrible: The company , a broker, was unresponsive to calls, promised pick-up and delivery dates that were not communicated to the actual driver, and charged a premium ( $800 vs the standard $600) for their "superior service".

The car was picked up on time as scheduled and delivered on time as scheduled. Both individuals that I dealt with were very courteous and professional. The driver was very efficient.

Excellent service from start to finish. Dispatcher was easy to talk to, answered all of our questions. Driver was polite, on time, and meticulous about loading our car and securing it on the rig. Delivery was on the day expected. We will definitely use this service again and recommend them to our seasonal friends.

I am so impressed by the service I received...They took a very stressful situation and made this a very pleasurable experience. The provider was so helpful... then they pull up in a covered trailer which was a huge, huge plus! Then they pick it up a day before promised and drop off two days before promised!!! Are you kidding me... This is one of the best service companies I have ever used... so, so, so impressed!

We are military so we have had to ship cars several times over the years. This was by far the best experience that we have had.
