Booking was very easy. They picked up my car one day after my time window, but they made sure I was well informed during the process. The actual loading of the car was done in a very professional and careful way. They delivered my car 6 days later.

This rating is NOT a reflection upon the driver who picked up and dropped our vehicle. He was punctual, respectful, and friendly. Our vehicle arrived exactly in the condition as it was loaded. The review is based upon dishonest representations made by in-house employees who work for United Freight of America. - As a selling point, United Freight represents that they only use "in-house" drivers to deliver cars unlike their competitors who contract out their services. An employee from their company, Eli, quoted a price of $1045 to transport our car from MD to CO, regardless if we paid the money up front or, upon delivery, the fee was $1045. Upon delivery of the car, the driver (Alex) tried to collect $770 from us. He was unaware that we had already paid $1045 up front. He said that his paperwork showed a balance of $770 because THAT is the fee for transporting our car from MD to CO IF one chooses to pay upon delivery. Why would it be less than $1045? Because, upon delivery one can only pay in cash whereas if one pays up front, they will accept a credit card. Again, Eli misrepresented that the fee would be the same regardless of when we paid. Why would Eli do this? According to Alex, Eli is not an employee as he represented to us, but a broker. Eli gets the extra $275 as a "broker's fee." Remember, we were told that the drivers are all employed by the company. So, Alex would be aware of the inner workings of the company and, what he was representing, makes sense. Alex was agitated that we got ripped off for $275 ($1045-$770), and was emphatic that we should demand the $275 balance back from the company. "Ellen," from United Freight, had called me a few days after our car was delivered and we discussed the $275 discrepancy. She exhorted me to write a positive review on Angie's list with the EXPLICIT understanding that the $275 would be refunded. I wrote the positive review at her request and now the company is reneging on their promise. (I have since deleted that review and am now posting this review. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB.) Not really trusting Ellen or United Freight at this point, I contacted my credit card company and contested $275 of the $1045. United Freight has responded that it is not obligated to pay the $275 overcharge. The past couple of weeks, I have received several voice messages from Ellen. When I would return her call, she was never available. The company is getting an “F” from us because of its duplicitous representations.

They were very professional and punctual. The whole transaction from signing and pick up and to my son receiving the vehicle was about 2 weeks. The price was very reasonable (I have used other companies before. Now that my experience was painless with United Freight, I would not hesitate to use them over and over again. I know I would have to do this again. Thank you United Freight for your professional handling of this transport for me.

Picked up on time,and delivered on time. The driver called well in advance of delivery and coordinated. Delivered right to the address. Offload was difficult because the car is very small, but driver handled it well and without damage. I would use them again.

Transport drivers were professional and courteous and kept me informed of their arrival time. Car arrived in Colorado in good condition.

They picked it up the car in Houston and delivered it on time in good shape. Good communication and no problems.

Fabulous experience. Vehicle picked up and delivered on time in great condition with fine communication on both ends. The challenge: I researched tons of companies and services. Most said moving a cargo van was going to be hard, even though it is the same size as an SUV -- because no one wants the bulk of that vehicle. Some providers who are "just brokers" who low ball the bid price to get you to sign, and then never find a transport company willing to move the vehicle. One company / person even told me it had to go on a flat bed ... and increased the price quote by 30% when I asked to book. Thankfully, Ely at United Freight was knowledgeable and totally responsive and delivered everything as promised. I think I paid a little bit more, but I had total confidence that my van would get there -- i.e., the hauler would show up as per contract, and the price was the price.

These guys are brokers, so you pay them part of the money when they pick up the car and you pay someone else at the end who actually delivers the car. I paid extra to get a guaranteed date for the car pickup. This was very important because I needed to book a flight. The car carrier driver's English wasn't the greatest, but I eventually figured out that he needed to meet me in a shopping center parking lot where he could park his big car carrier. He thoroughly inspected the car to make not of any and all scratches and dents. Then I had to walk from there back to my house, which seemed a little weird but that's the only way they can do it. The guy who delivered the car was great. He had a much smaller rig and could park on the street a block from my place. Price was about the same as other companies. The car arrived with absolutely no damage. And best of all, it arrived in record time. Only took 8 days for it to get across the country.

The whole thing went very well. Highly professional staff at United Freight was extremely responsive and helpful. The driver was a complete professional and highly competent and reliable. We couldn't have been happier with the result. Great experience in every way.

Car was delivered within the promised time frame. There was no damage and it would appear that the actual handling of the car was very professionally done. The driver was courteous but failed to communicate 24 hours ahead. On pick up he called 1 hour ahead but then was delayed for 5 hours without advising of the delay. On arrival he called 15 minutes prior to arriving. Good thing we were available! Their price was also the highest price quoted. Everything other than the driver communication was handled well. I would use this service again.

Guy handled everything and made the move as quick and painless as possible. Great job, and I would gladly recommend him, and United Freight, to anyone needing to move a vehicle across the country.

Went well, worked with Guy the entire time. They are a little relentless about me posting a review however. It's kinda tacky.

I would highly recommend this driver and his vehicle. The only little tweak I would make is providing a link to map where our driver is during the trip but this was truly painless. Much less expensive than renting a vehicle for a one way rental.

Door to door service. Faster than expected. Arrived ahead of schedule. Cost more then other qoutes but service I received was worth it.

Our original shipping plans were aborted due to mechanical problems with our car. United Freight allowed us to retain our deposit for shipping at a later date, which we subsequently did. There was a minor hitch with the pick-up in Beaverton but it was quickly and professionally resolved. Delivery estimate was 7-10 days and the vehicle was delivered 7 days after pick-up. I would use United Freight again without hesitation and will quickly recommend their service to my friends. Thanks, Angies List, for the referral!
