Auto Transport - United Freight Of America

This service was terrific! I was very nervous about hiring an auto transport broker, having never done it before. I read so many reviews, and United Freight of America was very well-reviewed. Guy was my contact at the company. He was very responsive and helpful. There was a three-day pick-up window. On the third day of the window, we were told that the truck heading to pick up the car had broken down. Guy said he would find an alternate transport, and he did, within hours. The car was picked up on a Friday and arrived in Alabama on the following Tuesday. The driver, Brad, was super nice. I highly recommend this company. Guy will take care of you!

Did not pick up as scheduled, nor inform dealer, and delivered late with a scratch on a perfect drivers door. With an estimate to fix for $1800 at a sanctioned JAGUAR paint shop. As you can see it was the last car on the bottom, not on the top as contracted.

What the driver lacked in English skills he more than made up for in professionalism and ability. He got both our cars safely from Charleston, SC to Palm Desert, CA in four days. Very impressive. Since the cars were transported in a trailer that was open to the elements, they were somewhat dirty, but that is to be expected. The cost was reasonable and the service reliable. I would use again.

We shipped two cars with them. Our auto move went really smooth. Drivers were really professionals. The day one of our cars was supposed to be picked up, our car bettary went dead. The driver was really co-operative. He was coming to get our car at 3:00pm, but he waited for us to get our car fixed. He waited until 7pm in his loading place. We dropped off our car there. Very professional and friendly service.

I have nothing but accolades for this transportation company. They were professional, I was given the Angies discount, and they scheduled the pick up date within 2 days and were there! John the driver was experienced and honest. He arrived on time within the date expected. No delays. I am super pleased that I contracted with this company. A long distance move is stressful enough but this auto shipper was a breeze! Would use again.

The good news: the car was transported safely. Also, Ely (the broker) was generally responsive and professional over the phone and via email. (One quibble: he charged an upfront deposit that was more than $200 higher than the deposit requirement stated in my emailed quote.) The drivers Ely hired, however, were not responsive or professional. The pick up happened very late (after 11 pm) and the cross country driver demanded an earlier delivery time than we contracted for while en route. On Sunday, the driver called and asked where to meet us. We explained that the contracted delivery was for no earlier than 4 pm on Tuesday. The driver had a fit. We called Ely who said it's not our problem, but the driver repeatedly called and texted us trying to get an earlier time (something that was simply impossible for us to do). Finally, on Tuesday, we called the driver and told him we were 20 minutes from the destination city. It turned out, however, that the driver wasn't even in the city where he was supposed to meet us. The driver demanded we travel to him, and he was rude and uncooperative when we refused. He would not meet in the location that Ely had recommended, but finally agreed to a spot about 3 miles away. All's well that ends well, but this experience was needlessly harrowing, especially given the high cost. I would not use United Freight of America again.

Although United Freight of America was responsive, the truck broke down, therefore what was supposed to be a 7-10 day delivery to Connecticut, turned into 16 days. To compensate for the delay, we were credited $100 off the shipping cost...which we greatly appreciated. I would use United Freight again.

One little hick up but I was kept appraised of the progress. Very easy to deal with.

I checked out UFA on line and liked what I saw. I planned the shipment of my daughter's car from LA to Austin, speaking with Guy, who was terrific. As it turned out, life interfered with our plans and we did not ship the car, instead we will apply our reasonable deposit when we are ready to reschedule. Guy clearly explained the process and could not have been more helpful. Incredible, caring customer service.

This is the third year in a row that we have engaged United Freight of America to ship our cars from Boston to West Palm Beach and back. We have been completely satisfied with this service. They pick up and drop off the cars as scheduled without problems. Ely Sharp, our representative, is extremely professional and has simplified this process for us. We highly recommend this organization.

No commutation between transport company or dispatch & driver unless I raised ****, & called several times. A person was sent to pick up my cars & didn’t speak English, no information, wondered if my car had just been stolen, had to call for days before anyone called me back. It was very nerve racking. My cars were delivered at hotel I stayed in Franklin Tn. The driver was so kind & went out of his way to drive them up to hotel lobby area for my inspection . I’m in wheel chair. The cars were in great condition & were not dirty.

Everything went smoothly. I was able to easily contact the parties involved to get the timing exactly right, and the car was delivered on time and in good condition. Very pleased!

Very well. They were amenable to an address change midway through the shipping process for no additional cost. They were also very fast (5 business days). Price seemed to be right and their communication was very much appreciated.

2nd time I used them. Ely was very resonsive and great at following up. Both times everything went on time and care handled well.

Great! They were courteous, always available, and delivered the car from nyc to Florida in perfect condition.

Although their price was high, I relied on their Angie's Rating and was not disappointed! Ely and staff promised that the vehicle would be picked within a 3-business day window and it was. I asked that the driver give a good estimate when it would be delivered so I could buy my airline tickets and he did. Consequently, I can report that I am a happy and satisfied customer and the cost with and Angie discount was well worth it! This is a great Company and I say that having six years of experience in shipping my cars to and from Maine.

Great service and cost effective. I couldn't have driven the car cross country for this price. I initially tried one of those bidding services on the web and got inundated by some sketchy brokers. I went to Angie's list and found United. The driver was on time for both pickup and delivery, absolutely no damage. I'll be using United to bring the car back later this year.

Everything went off without a hitch. Vehicle was delivered quickly and in great shape.
