TruGreen Lawn Care - 5100

They killed all of my lawn. Everything died. All that lived were the weeds and sand spurs. Do not use them. They are a rip off. They come out, get on their truck and two minutes later they're done. How can they spray my entire lawn in two minutes? They try to sell you on lawn aeration which is absolutely unnecessary.

2 months go by and the yard looks the same if not worse. They charged over $250 and now they say it is not a fungus it's pet traffic. They refuse to refund anything. They lied to intially get our business and charged us more than double the agreed price with zero results.

The lawn looked terrible. The folks that deliver the service never made suggestions to make it better. I finally cancelled the service then got a lot of pressure to keep the service at a lower price. Not worth it even if free.

The yard had become brown, grass wasn't growing, and weeds were taking over. I called TruGreen and got a quote over the phone from a guy who pulled my address up on Google Maps. Never once did anyone come look at my yard...he tried to sell me on a list of services he says I need.....all based on a Google maps image from 2011. Not sure how they can quote without seeing what they're quoting for. I ended up having to hang up on him......will definitely not be calling back!

We've used them for a couple of years. I pay $40 for monthly service.

Not a trustworthy company. Quoted inconsistent prices (e.g., in earlier conversations implied that parts of the service such as mosquito treatment and aeration was included and then during later conversations was told it cost extra; at the beginning of a conversation was told the first treatment would cost X and then a couple of minutes later in the same conversation was told it would cost Y). Was told there were no contracts and then when I signed up I received a "service agreement" via email that from my perspective looked like a signed contract with a lot of small print and legal language. Salesman (and his manager who also called me when I cancelled) told me that it was not a contract, that it just laid out everything that was verbally agreed upon. However, I wanted to pay for service month-to-month to try them out and the contract specified 10 total services which we never verbally discussed or agreed upon. Incredibly pushy salesmen who phoned, texted, and knocked on my door in a deed restricted no soliciting community numerous times.

I had a True green sales representative show up in my neighborhood soliciting and scaring homeowners. This gentleman's name was Tony, and he came to my door he promtly advised me that I had chinch bugs in my lawn and needed to have it addressed immediately. When I asked him to show them to me, he proceeded to tell me that you would need a microscope to see them as they were too small to see with the naked eye, which is completely not true. He continued on with his pitch about how he can make my lawn look the best in the neighborhood and he could do it cheaper than I was paying now. What he didn't know is that my sprinklers went down and it took a couple of weeks to get my sprinkler company out to fix the issue. I had to hand water my lawn, and I had a couple areas that had dried out. I did not have chinch bugs. What he also didn't know is that, I work in the same industry and I am obviously far more knowledgeable about insects and turf diseases than he is. If I was an unknowing consumer, I could have easily fallen for this scandalous sales pitch in which he was only trying to scare me into switching to their company. I have heard this same story about True Green from other people in my area. I thought he was extremely unethical and when I unveiled my knowledge about the issues, he was at a complete loss for words, and let my neighborhood immediately.

True Green applied the fertilizer and weed control but did not apply pesticide to kill chinch bugs. So last month they applied pesticide to control chinch bugs (I have no sign of chinch bugs) and charged me an additional monthly charge, with out my approval, to control the unforeseen chinch bugs. When I called to complain I was told True green does not apply pest control in less I pay double. True Green bough out Scotts Service a few years ago and fail to tell me they were not performing the same service as Scotts. I canceled the service.

Under contract as needed for fertilizing and the whole service for the lawn.? If your not happy with what they did they will come back and redo it.

It?s okay. I wouldn?t say it?s any better than okay. It?s real expensive, I think. I paid by the year or something like that. They?re doing trees, I mean, it would be hard for me to pin point right off the top of my head. I think I signed up with them for a year and then I am going to reevaluate when my contract runs out. It's uncertain if I will use them again. I mean right now that really is doubtful. It could change; you?re supposed to take care of my yard for the rest of the year. So we?ll wait and see, I guess.

Cancelled Service…will do it myself!!!

They are good, quick and their billing is easy.

They do an excellent job in keeping our lawn looking good.

My experience was terrible. He was extremely rude.He yelled at me on the phone asking if I spoke English, and then hung up on me. I would not recommend him to anybody.

It's simply good and I already had 2 experiences with them and it's not a lot data that they shared with me. They're okay so far.

They arrived with 4 people: a lady who did a great job; the owner who did an OK job and some damage; a 20 something fellow who was did little except dusting; and a 6 year old who scuffed her feet as she walked on the new floor and at times sat with her feet on the furniture. They did not clean the rooms upstairs in the loft. The empty refrigerator was cleaned except for the freezer drawer. The walls and cabinets were well dusted and they helped remove the painters tape we used to seal everything. I had to stop him from using a wood floor cleaner that would leave residue on our new floors and insisted he use our product. The damage they caused was very upsetting. The owner removed our kitchen clock from a box on the floor in the bedroom and installed the battery. This broke the clock mechanism because the hands were bent. I do not understand why he would even touch that clock and I still have not been able to find a replacement clock mechanism that will fit. He would not tell me directly that he broke it, but he did tell my wife. We also discovered that the hook on the back of the bedroom door was broken, but it was easy to replace it.

after a 2 year contract for monthly treatments, I have a cinch bug and grub worm infestation that has destroyed my lawn. I think they were spraying cool aid the whole time. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

It went fine. I am not hiring them again because I saw other lawns in the area that have been treated by Scotts for a long time and no real progress. I looked them up on Angies List, saw the bad reviews and called to cancel follow on service. I hired these guys through a neighborhood solicitor. I should have known better. They did not do anything personally to me, but based on my interaction and review with others in my neighborhood about them I decided to not got with them again. The rep was professional, but at the end of the day, the lawns speak for themselves.

They started out okay then I guess they got a new and younger crew. I remember calling them because I had caterpillars on some of my plants and I watched them and they came out. They sprayed in the backyard but they did not spray the caterpillars. The caterpillars were on the side of the house. They went to the back and sprayed one area and left. I called them and told them that they did not do their job so I fired them.

Bad never did what thay said thay would do

For the first year of service, my technician was reliable, professional, and effective. However, once he left the company, things (especially my lawn) went downhill. There was a different technician at every scheduled service, and while they were friendly, my lawn suffered with constant weeds and thinning. Each call was met with courtesy and offers to send out repeat service, but it didn't help. Technicians didn't seem to check my previous service history and would suggest that I was overwatering since my neighbors' yards were nice--my neighbors had both recently resodded their entire yards, so that's why their yards looked good. I was told there was too much shade in my yard, but everyone on the same street had the same if not more shade, yet their lawns seemed fine. I was given trays of plugs on a couple different occasions, one time they did the work and the last time just left the trays for me to install. I agreed to having my soil tested on two occasions; neither time did I get any report back or even a phone call with any results. I finally got tired of paying for a crappy lawn full of weeds and discontinued service. The tree and shrub technician was good and consistent; however, I didn't want to continue with any service with this company.

My lawn looks great. There are no weeds or insects.

I wanted my floors cleaned and I asked him for a price. As I was repeating the price, he hollered over me and said “Do you read me, do you understand English?” Then he hung up. I will never use him as a service provider.

It’s $110 after the first initial clean. They are prompt and on time. They do a thorough job cleaning all the floors and they vacuum in all my other floors. They clean my windows and my sliding glass windows. I think they’re very efficient. They are less expensive than the others in terms of price. I will use their services again in the future.

I was a little upset at first by a few things they missed but it was the first time and I figured it would take a few times to get into a routine. Then I found one of my Swarovski crystals broken and this one was a gift. I emailed Clint with the broken picture and the online site I found a replacement at. Clint emailed me right away and apologized and put a check in the mail for double the cost of the crystal. I will do business with someone like that anytime.
