Wonderful! After Hurricane Irma, our house was without a roof on one side for several months. Our insurance agency gave us the run around and we spent many hours on the phone trying to get some assistance. Then Rhino stepped in and dealt with the agency for us. He was the only quote that we got that wasn't ridiculous and didn't price gouge. We would use Rhino again and have recommended this company to friends and family.

It went pretty well! They cleaned up well after themselves and were very punctual. They got the job done quickly and efficiently. I was very satisfied. I'm already planning on rehiring them for future projects.

The roof on our Florida home was starting to show its age. We shopped around and after several interviews with roofing contractors, we chose Rhino General Contracting to perform the roofing replacement work on the house and garage. Rhino's owner (Robert) provided us with a written estimate (which was competitive), they accommodated us with scheduling a date for the job, started and finished as promised, and completely met our expectations for materials, installation, and clean up and debris removal. The garage needed some repairs on the boards, and they did the work at no additional cost (value added!). We've had several torrential rains since, and not a leak anywhere. Overall, we're very satisfied and pleased with their work.

Great! Very timely, professional and great advice on appropriate materials. The price was very competitive. Mr Elliott was very thorough in explaining the entire process.

They did a wonderful job. The crew was an entire family, father, sons, uncles, cousins, etc. that had worked together for years and were perfectly co-ordinated in doing their jobs. I watched from my air-conditioned car across the street since my house was obviously too noisy to stay in while the work was done. It was like watching Cirque du Soleil, the way they worked together. I'm really happy with my new roof!

They were supposed to be at the house at 8:30. No one showed up, I called at 9:15 and was told "they were on the way" Called again at 10:00 and told "I will try and be there in the next 2 hours" Time to find another roofer

I wasn't going to leave negative feedback but they have been back a total of 5 times !!!!!! Last year the owner said "someone has been up here and put a roof patch paint on it!!!!! " Yikes! I told him it was YOU who did that and I have the email to prove it!!!! This is a new roof over living room. It has never stopped leaking. Ceiling now has to be repaired. Roof has to be re-repaired by a competent roofer. This is 1 of 2 roofers I got off Angie's List they are BOTH terrible ( I have 2 homes) ! Angie's list, for me, is NOT reliable either............... go figure......

We had several bids. Rhino's was the best in terms of cost and high quality materials. In general the project went well. There were a couple of short hold-ups (less than a week) that were not more than a small annoyance. The office was not great to work with - some paperwork was difficult to acquire. But in general it was a positive experience. The roof was done about two years ago, and it is holding up very well, looks great. No issues.

In Feb 2014, Rhino Contracting installed a new roof on our home (1022 Sugartree Ln N, Lakeland, FL 33813). We paid Rhino $15,000. On 8 May 2015, we noticed that two of the sky lights (installed by Rhino in Feb 2014) were leaking. Later we noticed that the third sky light was leaking. In addition, some of the shingles on the front of our home are buckling up in several areas. We called Robert Elliott (owner of Rhino) at least a dozen times. While we were gone, Mr. Elliott said that he inspected the roof, but found nothing wrong. After several more calls to Rhino, Mr. Elliott sent one of his men to look at the leaking problem. His employee admitted that something was wrong with the sky light, but did not fix it. We then called Mr. Elliott again with no results. Our roof still leaks. The shingles have a lifetime warranty and the labor and materials have a warranty for 10 years by Rhino Contracting. Because of the rain and dampness in our home, our carpet (14 X 20) has been ruined. It also creates a health hazard. We have already spent $860.00 for emergency repairs and it looks like we will have to spend another $3000.00 just to stop the leaks from getting worse. And we have no idea what the carpet will cost to replace. Consumer's Desired Resolution: Rhino Contracting needs to reimburse us $5000.00 for emergency repairs, sky light replacements, replacing the shingles that are buckling up on the front of our home. The stained and moldy carpet (14 X 20) (280 sq ft) will need to be replaced as well. We paid Rhino Contracting $15000.00 to put on a new roof, new sky lights, replace any damaged wood at the time of installment, and to clean up afterwards. Their clean-up was incomplete. I still find nails, pieces of shingles, and tar paper in my flowers and shrubbery.

This is a follow up review of Rhino. They came out 2 years ago to do the work and we've had issues ever since. The flat roof leaked (and still does). Rhino made every effort to fix it, but they never found the source. The ridge vents they used have still leaked and last night, we found more damage caused by water getting in. We know the roof is old and will need to be replaced in the next few years, but several other companies told us we had another 5 years or so on it.

The service was great and the roof looks wonderful.

They're ok as roofers, the owner has a general contracting license as well as a roofing license, His crew is primarily a roofing crew. We made a mistake in trusting them, as there was some parts of our house that needed termite repair. They replaced the termite damage, but did not do a very good job. We have been backtracking their work ever since. Note they work 8:30 – 12 and work from 1 – 3:30. B for roofing, F for general contracting work.

The roofing job was completed in two days. One month later, the day before Thanksgiving, we got our first big rain and our family flooded again, ruined the carpet that we were able to save the first time and now the fireplace needs to be rebuilt due to water damage. I called Robert Elliot immediately and his response is "there is nothing I can do, it is the day before Thanksgiving and I am going out of town." When I pushed the issue, his response was that he would try to call a guy to come out. No one ever called or showed up. After weeks, then months of numerous calls, unanswered messages, broken promises and excuses, we finally got a response from Robert. The first week of January (3 months later), Robert finally had someone come out and they put some sort of patching/stucco on the chimney and promised to have the chimney cap replaced---which should have been done when the roof was replaced in October. Another month of broken promises and excuses from Robert. His response to me today is the same thing he has been telling us for months---he can't get a response from the guy who is making the chimney cap....It has now been 4 months and we STILL have not received the new chimney cap, nor is Robert giving us a date. We have given Rhino every opportunity to correct this issue, as well as 4 months in which to do it before making this complaint. We still cannot replace the carpet or hire someone to repair the fireplace until we can be certain that the chimney cap will not continue to leak.

Robert quickly responded to our call, explained everything in detail, and was true to his estimate. Thanks for the Angie's list discount! Work was done in the time frame he estimated, the workers cleaned up the area. Robert was constantly in touch with us to make sure everything was going as planned. He was professional and personable. We have recommended him to friends and neighbors. Many neighbors have commented on how pretty the roof looks because of the architectural design and color. They also noticed that the workers were clean and quick. Thanks Robert!

contractor knows the business and will contact the insurance company and maximize all applicable payments for repairs. very professional a good man and honest. Robert Elliott is up front honest and will deliver what he has said he would. he got mom back into her room very quickly. impressed and grateful that i have a new roof and don't have to worry about it for another 20 years. if i need work done i will call rhino contracting to do it .Honesty is hard to find and i cast my vote on everything by spending my money with people that are honest this money was well spent.

Would highly recommend Mr. Ellis and his staff. Very professional and courteous. Definitely would use in the future.

The quote was reasonable and in line with other quotes we received. They were responsive and answered our questions. Though we went with another company, Rhino was a very very close second. We won't hesitate to call them the next time we need a service.

Robert Elliott, the owner was very responsive with the estimate. His estimate was in the middle of the road, but he seemed to be very professional in his dealings. Fortunately, I got a written estimate. The first issue was the sky lights. In his estimate, he included the sky lights in the price...and said "There will be no surprises or additional cost." I took him at his word; however, when the job was completed, he wanted an additional $1500.00 for the sky lights. He said they were not standard sizes. I reminded him of his word and his written estimate. He was professinal about it and dropped the additional charge. The other issue...was the cleaning up. They were suppose to clean up their mess after the installation, but I am still picking up pieces of shingles, nails in my driveway, wrappers from the shingles, pieces of metal, etc. On behalf of Mr. Elliott and in all fairness to his company, they did an adequate job and the finished product looks wonderful. However, I must give him a "C" because of the above issues.

During reroofing of my townhome extensive water damage occured due to Robert Elliot Rhino Construction. Robert Elliot Rhino Construction assured me on several occasions when the unit no longer leaked he would repair all interior water damage. Now that the roof is no longer leaking Rober Elliot Rhino Construction refusesto repair the interior damage. He is saying it is due to other issues. This is absolutely not true--he reroofed the unit next door and they also have extensive water damage due to Rhino Construction Robert Elliot.

I called the number on file and spoke to a very nice gentleman and asked to schedule a quote to fix my roof. I told him that I had a leak in my roof. He asked me to email him my address, a description of the leak and its location, my contact information, etc. and he would come by, take a look at the roof, and contact me back. I resent the email and called again, but I never heard back.

The Rhino Construction crew arrived at the property within a couple of days of signing the contract. They reviewed the section of roof where the leak was occurring, removed shingle from that and an adjoining section of roof until they found the exact location of the leak, repaired the leak, sealed the area and replaced the shingle. Additionally, Robert described to me what he thought was an ongoing issue with the gutters in the area of the leak and proposed that he have his crew come back out and provide some additional guttering to help reduce the chances of future problems. I agreed with his assessment and the gutter work was completed with only a small increase over the original estimated cost. Despite a 'rocky' start to my dealings with Rhino Construction, Robert made sure that they addressed the issue of communication and made sure that the repair to my roof was completed correctly and without further delay. I would say that Rhino Construction is a company that has worked hard to gain a reputation for quality work and they are very serious about maintaining that reputation. When problems do occur, they do not shy away from them and deny knowledge or responsibility, rather they address the issue and do as much as possible to make things right and fair. They provide high quality work at a very reasonable cost. I will have no hesitation in contacting Robert and Rhino Construction for any future roofing or general construction needs. I was very impressed by them.
