Very responsive company. I had a problem with my system(no fault of American) on a Sunday, and they had a tech. out the next morning to make sure I did not loose my new sod.

I had some foundation work done and the contractor severed multiple buried lines and caused a large amount of dirt to clog several zones. American Irrigation patiently and thoroughly checked for and repaired all leaks and flushed the clogs out of the system. I also used American several years ago after my system was torn up by city of Tampa sidewalk installers, who had buried cut lines under sod they installed after completion of the sidewalk. This caused a several thousand dollar water bill. I first used another large and well known company, who did not find the problem and charged more than American. The other company caused another month of excessive water bills and accepted no responsibility for their lack of competence. I called American and they found and fixed the problem immediately. I give the highest recommendation to Steve and American. They are prompt, professional and provide outstanding irrigation service.

Power surge disabled my irrigation system. I tried myself but wasnt able to test it. Tech came in and easily enabled it. He tested each zone to make sure it was properly working. He also adjusted the sprinkler heads to aim at my lawn and not at my house.

While they completed the repair on the pipe, they were not careful to keep rocks and debris out of pipes. After repair of pipe, the first zone valve was stuck open after use. I diagnosed the selonoid was working, so I opened up the valve by disassembling the cover. I found a rock in the valve which is why it was stuck open. After removing the rock and cleaning out all debris, I reassembled the valve. While doing so, I must have damaged the seal on the valve. The valve worked properly, but leaked from cover. Given the technician caused the situation with the rock, I called them out to have them look at the leak. I explained the situation and asked that the company replace valve (I would pay for valve since I damaged) and cover the labor cost due to introducing the rock and debris. The technician initially agreed this was the right thing to do, and after talking a few minutes I suggested that it may be easier to just replace the diaphragm. Technician agreed, and attempted to replace. After installing diaphragm, the valve was still leaking. Technician said that was all he could do unless I paid to have valve replaced, he said the owner would not allow him to go any further. After technician left I checked the system again by turning on the water. As I expected the valve leaked as advertised by technician; However, once again the valve is stuck open!!! I can only imagine what debris I get to clean out of the system, AGAIN!!!!!! So now I will have to replace the valve due to an issue initially caused by their technician. I have lost faith in quality for this company and will not use them or recommend them.

Service was excellent. Jason (our tech) was very knowledgeable. He found two additional leaks (which another irrigation service fail ed to detect 2 weeks earlier). Once the repairs were completed, Jason reviewed the system/settings with us which we greatly appreciated.The company as a whole (owner, secretary, tech) was personable & professional. We're happy to have such a reliable company.

EXCELLENT. OWNER PERSONALLY answered phone and explained costs in details. He was very personable and sent a guy within a week to inspect and fix sprinklers. We even had a nice conversation about local restaurants. His son is a chef , and they love to sample restaurants. He promised to send a list of his son's favorite restaurants. The man he sent to do the job was very professional and seemed to take his job seriously. Worked in the pouring rain without complaining or rushing. Afterwards, he took the time to send me a list of their ten favorite restaurants!. WE called to see if he could hook up our new gutters to our drainage system. He came immediately to provide an estimate. We are checking with the plumber who installed them to see what his price is so we have not decided who to use. I wold highly recommend his company as he was quick to respond and extremely professional. My sprinklers are now working well.

It went very well tec was knowledgable and worked hard and smart . The system is old and he was a magician to get it working. He made some suggestions for future improvements which we are planning to do once the landscape is done.

Could not ask for any thing better. The repairman spent 4 hours correcting all the issues with my system and when he left it was perfect. I will be using them again when I have an issue.

Did the job well. Showed up on time and completed work as expected.

Very fast, professional and was able to quickly map out existing system and fix or replace equipment as required. Would highly recommend this company for anyone, especially if you are trying to update older sprinkler systems.

Rick Rodriguez was just great. He did all the needed repairs on my lawn irrigation system, including broken sprinkler heads and a faulty protruding water bubbler around a tree. He then re-set my Rain Bird system and showed me exactly how it works and what each setting controls, and how to re-set it in the future should the need arise. I had no idea how to work the system until today when Rick explained it all to me. He even called me instead of ringing my door be, as requested, upon his arrival (as my dogs go crazy whenever the doorbell rings). I highly recommend this company and commend them in their choice of employees such as Rick Rodriguez. Thanks to Tina as well who helped coordinate everything!

Steve came to my home to diagnose existing drainage issues that I thought were fixed by a previous contractor who installed a similar drain at my home. Immediately Steve asked me what were the issues I was having and asked what actions I had taken. He immediately offered suggestions to remedy my drainage issues and also made suggestions to my irrigation system based on how my recently installed sod was looking. The job that Steve and Jason performed was absolutely professional and first-class. Steve was on time, courteous, extremely knowledgeable and like one of his previous customers mentioned a "true professional." Before any work was ever performed he and Tina made sure I received the estimate and offered to answer any questions I may have had including follow-up calls. I can only say that if you pick American Irrigation Systems you won't be sorry as Steve is a true professional who keeps in contact with his customers every step of the way and believes in doing great work. He has earned my loyalty and will I definitely recommend him to others!

American Irrigation Systems arrived on time and diagnosed the problems quickly. It took 2.5 hours to complete the repairs, which would have taken me significantly longer. The repairman was polite and professional. My only complaint would be the price. It was a little steep but I believe they are in line with their competitors. You get what you pay for and they had excellent service. I will be using them in the future.

All went well and Steve was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining things to me. Gave good advice for future maintenance.

Steve came to our house to give us an estimate and explain how he would lay out the sprinkler system. We liked the flex pipe he uses between the heads because we live on a corner and have a problem with cars driving over our yard. He also understood we wanted to control the system manually without a timer, which is probably not the norm. Later we changed our minds about the areas we wanted the sprinkler to cover and also decided to connect to reclaimed water. This changed everything so Steve came back again to give us a new estimate, which we really appreciated. Our yard was so soggy from rain we had to wait several months for it to dry out enough to do the job. Steve suggested waiting because he didn't want to make a mess of our yard and we appreciated his honesty. Once scheduled, Steve took care of everything. He pulled the permit to connect us to the city's reclaimed water service and contacted underground services to have the yard marked for utilities. The crew worked very hard and finished the job in one day. Nice people to work with, show up as planned and did what they said they would. We would recommend them!

I called American Irrigation to come out and look at my irrigation system which had low flow. I have a pump that gets water off of a pond for watering the lawn. The technician showed up on time and was polite. He took one look at the pump and said I needed a new one. I'm not an expert, but I was concerned the issue might be elsewhere as the pump sounded as it had for months (not particularly noisy). I asked him to inspect the intake line and look for leaks. He just kind of wondered around and admired the view for 35 minutes and left. A couple days later after making a few phone calls, I finally got a quote for American Irrigation to install a new pump. The estimated cost was $775. Checking the pump price, I found it for $400. American Irrigation wanted $375 for parts (maybe $20) and labor to install a pump. Outrageous! I counter offered for $600 which was extremely generous, but they declined. I replaced the pump myself (simple job) only to find that the flow was identical to my old pump. I called to complain, and American Irrigation attempted to call me back, but I was done with them by then. I hired another company only to find out that the issue was a break in my line between the pond and the pump sucking air. No replacement of the pump was necessary. American Irrigation cost me the price of a new pump when was not needed. I've had American Irrigation out before where they got the job done but were quite snide about it. I can get an accurate diagnosis and a better priced service elsewhere.Check my other ratings. I give almost all A's.

Rick was incredibly professional and efficient. He explained the system and what it needed to function properly. He proceeded to work at a good pace and clean up after himself as he went along. Rick went out of his way to make sure we were happy with the services he provided and we knew how to work everything.

The initial installation was perfectly done, but time and circumstances have required changes, additions, and adjustments. On each occasion the situation was evaluated quickly, a materials and labor cost quote were prepared quickly after the required changes were discussed. The subsequent work was performed as scheduled, with minor adjustments being identified and made during the installations. Each of the four installations was completed as agreed on the agreed-to schedule. Each installation required adjustments to the control system and testing of the addition and adjustments. This was always preformed on the day of the installation, and adjustments were made during the course of the installation and testing. This was all accomplished exactly as planned and in each instance the modified system performed flawlessly. The staff planning the work and those performing the work were all professional, knowledgable, and accommodating. Working with all of them was a pleasure. I highly recommend them and appreciate the quality and timeliness of the work performed. I was not personally involved with the initial design and installation, but I was for each of the four upgrades and modifications. I do not know the cost of the original installation, but the total cost of the four subsequent additions and changes was approximately $5,000.

Everything went great. Rick did a great job arriving on-time and professionally repaired the broken heads and did a very comprehensive tune-up of the entire system. He was also very personable and explained every detail and answered my many questions completely. A job well done !!!

Arrived on time and assessed the situation. Did a full wiring check to ensure continuity. Determined that two solenoids for two zones were bad. Also saw a distribution manifold was leaking underground causing a short. The units were carefully dug up, replaced and rewired. Each zone was tested and worked. Then helped me pick up the pavers on top of the leaking head that wasn't capped off properly. That was re-sealed and tested. He then proceeded to assist in getting the pavers back in place. Finally the heads were re-aimed or replaced. What can I say? Thoroughly professional and neat work at a fair price. I highly recommend them to anyone needing lawn irrigation maintenance.

Rick arrived at 8:30 a.m. and left at 1:00 p.m. - during that time, he took care of all the issues in our yard, making sure all sprinklers gave good water cover - not too much and not too little. He fixed all the problems we had experienced over the past few years with the sprinkler system. When he replaced the Watering Timer, he set up our system with the correct Hillsborough county watering days/times. Nice touch. I would certainly recommend them highly.

Everything went smoothly and on schedule. The system appears to be working well and Steve took the time to walk me through the entire system and how it works.
