Tampa Bay Pavers

Spoke with Josh in reference to an estimate for a paver patio. I rearranged my schedule based on his availability - but he never showed up on the agreed date and time. I attempted to contact him for an explanation, but was ingored.

My wife and I were extremely pleased at the job done by Tampa Bay Pavers. It looks great and the pavers are lined up perfectly. They even replaced a couple that had chips in them. Took s day and a half but our backyard looks spectacular !

The reason I decided to go with Tampa Bay Pavers is because right from the start I got great customer service & I was impressed with the photos they had on their website (although my patio ended up looking NOTHING like the photos I saw). Drea came out to do my estimate. She was personable, she explained the procedure to me in detail & answered all my questions. Lori (the woman who works in the office, answers the phone & does scheduling) was also extremely nice & helpful. So I chose my pavers & signed the contract. Pavers were delivered to my house about a week later & within a couple days the workers were at my house to do the job. It took 2 days. When I returned home on the 2nd day I was shocked & disappointed to see the mess that was left (a lot of gravel left all over including in my grass & shoved in between some bushes, weeds that they'd pulled out we're laying all over in the grass, etc). I was also upset about the large gap between the pavers & the grass. The installers left very rocky, bumpy uneven and tacky looking gravel in that space. It looked horrible! I also noticed many paver joint spaces that had little if any sand filled in (from everything I've researched & other professionals I consulted with, having enough sand between pavers is critical to the setting of the pavers, to prevent weeds & for the long life of the patio). When I called Lori she was understanding and told me she'd have them come back out to clean up & look at my concerns. The next day (Saturday) the foreman came out (Jesus), listened to my concerns, had someone with him to clean up & told me he'd send the guys back out on Monday to redo the edging & fill in joint spaces with sand. They came out on Monday, redid the edging. I came home from work and was again appalled because it looked just as tacky as before. At this point I call Lori, tell her I'm very unhappy with the job that was done and I asked her if I could meet with Josh, the owner. At first she says yes but then she calls me back a few minutes later to tell me that Josh will not be coming over, that Jesus will meet me at my house, tell Jesus my concerns & to make my check out to JFS Construction. I told her I was confused, asked her WHY Josh was refusing to meet with me (an unsatisfied customer) & who is JSF Construction?!?! I was informed at that time (AFTER my job was done) that a subcontractor did my job! So at this point I have no choice but to deal with Jesus so he comes back out, I point out what I think looks ugly, tacky and poorly done (again, the edging & no sand in several of the joint spaces). Jesus is very nice, he listened to my concerns both times I met with him & agreed with me that they needed to come back to fix it. So for a 3rd time the workers come to my house to redo the edging of the patio and fill the joint spaces with sand. When I got home and saw the job it looks like a do-it-yourself project was done, not a $2300+ professional job. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of work that was done, by the fact I never knew a subcontractor was doing my project (it was never told to me verbally nor was it stated on my contract) and the fact that Josh, the owner of Tampa Bay Pavers never called me and refused to meet with me.
