Todd called about an hour ahead of the scheduled service to see if he could come by early, which worked great for me. He was punctual and professional which has been my experience every time I do business with him. He found the AC coolant leak quickly and diagnosed my problem. He needed to order parts, so we scheduled the repair for later in the week, and again Todd was on time as promised. He walked me though a couple other small issues (missing float switch and minor electrical shut off repair) that he suggested I address now before they become a problem in the future. He contacted me and explained the issue, and the cost, and asked for my approval before proceeding with the additional repairs. This is the second time I've worked with Todd and Gulf Coast Heating and AC. It is important to me that any service technician I work with takes the time to explain how the systems work, and what the problem is, and the possible solutions. Todd has always been very patient and professional while taking the time to answer any questions I have. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Todd in the future, and I will be using him for all of my future AC/heating needs. Thanks!

Mr. Bellamy of Gulf Coast Heating & AC answered our service call and within twenty-four hours installed a much needed air conditioning unit within budget and timeframe. This is the second time we have used Gulf Coast Heating & AC. The first time Gulf Coast Heating & AC provided maintainece on our heating and air conditioner at our previous home. We were so impessed with the professionalism shown by Mr. Bellamy and his staff that when we purchased our second home and started to have AC issues Gulf Coast was the only company we considered. Mr. Bellamy even came back the day after the installation was completed to make sure we were satisfied.

I'm back-filling this review because Todd just got his AL presence yesterday. I bought an LG split system on the Internet because I could not find a reasonable dealer in the area. I was able to get an Art Cool system for my man cave for $1000. I didn't want to spend a fortune on my shed/office but want efficient quality. My electrician, Wizard Electic (John Hardiman), an excellent service person in his own right (reminds me of another overdue review), recommended Todd to me for this small job. While it was an unusual request Todd said he's done a few of these and quoted a very reasonable price compared to many others I tried that would even touch it. Todd arrived when scheduled with his partner and knocked it out in a few hours. I have been happily chilling ever since. The installation was done very well from what I can see and cleanly from all angles. This is the first of two times I have used Todd and would highly recommend his services. Its hard to find people not trying to upsell you, that listen to you and work with you to get what you want done even if it is a little out of the ordinary.

Todd was able to fit me in on Friday and was waiting for me at my mother's old house we're fixing up to rent. The A/C had just stopped working. This is the same A/C I had another company look at just a couple weeks back on the Angie's Big Deal that I was not very happy with (see the review). Anyway, it took Todd just a few minutes of diagnosis to point out the broken transformer in the air handler. He was comfortable with me shoulder surfing and had me smell the transformer to confirm the burnt smell. Within another few minutes he got a new one out of the truck and had the A/C running again. Testing the freon pressure showed that while the level wasn't desperately low it could use a bit to run optimally. The topped it off. It is a ten year old compressor and 20 year old air handler. I asked if there was anything else I could do, like clean the coil, to prolong the operational life. He told me that it likely did need a cleaning and how he would do the cleaning. They would suck the refrigerant into the outside unit, cut out the coil, clean it and solder it back in when done. He said that while that could be done for $400 or so, because of the age he would not recommend doing it. He also mentioned that while the coil looks in great shape there was a risk that the cleaning could cause problems also. He said that the system was on borrowed time due to its age and less than perfect freon level I should just let it run until there is a problem. At that time we can see if it can be fixed or buy a new one. Todd said the system could possibly last another year or so and to call him when it stops. Its blowing ice cold and my fingers are crossed that it goes as long as possible. He said he could try and up sell me, but he would rather help me with my goal, be honest and sell me one when I need it. I will definitely use Todd's services again in the future as I need them. Todd charged me for the transformer, the freon and the service charge, all very fair. This is the second time I have used him and I have recommended him to my friends. At least one I know is using him for his property management business and says he's happy.

I would rate them very high. They were very good. I've used them before. It was a perfect setup where they could have cheated me because my air conditioner just went off. It turned out to be a very small fix. He just charged me for the service call and didn't even charge me for the very small part. He could have charged me $400 and I would have paid it. They were very honest which meant everything to me because I dealt with a company that wasn't. I will absolutely call them again for service or if I have trouble. I felt very good about them.
