Designer Joann Sadoyan with Closets By Design is FANTASTIC!!! I cannot begin to say enough good things about her. I will say that NOT all designers are created equal. Joann was the THIRD closet designer I met with, and I was prepared to meet many more until I found what I wanted. She listened, intently, to what I wanted/needed. She asked my husband and I many questions about our closet needs, and spent HOURS getting it exactly right. She measured all of our hanging clothes (neither of the other two designers did that) and made a ton of suggestions. She never tried to upsell us on anything, and made sure we were perfectly happy before she finalized the design. I cannot stress how important it is to get the right designer. Joann understood making use of every inch of space, and when she suggested a glass cabinet for my handbags, I knew I had found The One!! When you call Closets By Design, ASK FOR JOANN BY NAME!! I had a quote before she left my house, as well as an install date. The installers showed up a few minutes early, worked intensely the entire time, and were extremely clean. The install took two full days, and the installers cleaned up after each day. I recommend this designer at this company without hesitation. I smile every time I walk into my closet. Worth every single penny!! I will have Joann come back to do our pantry and other closets, can't wait!!

It went great. I was getting an estimate on changing some work that another closet company had installed. The lady that came out saved me money and had some creative solutions for other parts of my closet when I'm ready to do them. I would definitely use this company in the future.

I like them and in the past they have also done closets for me both at my house and at a rental property. They basically maximize the storage potential of closet space. It is a very effective company.

The designers spend time with your to come up with a workable plan and discuss options. You can go very high end with their products or keep it more basic if you just want to focus on raw storage space as I dd with the garage. The crew spent almost two days instlaling everything and the materials and workmanship were first rate which is why they feel comfortable giving you a lifetime warrantly on everything. Just be aware it will be at least a month between when you have an approved design and rendered your deposit until the work is actaully done. They could probably hire less experienced crews or try to rush stuff but they are a quality outfit and obviously won't do that.

This was a work in progress since I was very specific about what I wanted. I had a few difficulties communicating with my design person (sales person), JoBeth. She is very opinionated and could improve on her listening skills. It wouldn't hurt if she ensured all items of the order were selected without me having to follow-up with her. Update: 2nd Day of installation: We learned that we had no handles for our closet. JoBeth never mentioned handles to us. So that means no handles for doors, drawers or vanity. We called Mike right away and he solved the issue for us without delay. Mike the Production Manager was very friendly and quick to fix anything that came up. Once the design met my expectations and the payment was made, they immediately booked a day to come out and measure for the countertops and cabinets. The turn around time for the custom order was 4-6 weeks. installation was scheduled for October 24 -26th. Jun & John showed up to do the installation. They are very organized and efficient with their time. They work well as a team and are extremely polite. I have posted pictures of the project. 3rd Day of installation: This was the final day of install and things ran smoothly with only one minor surprise. Metal lined grommets. Since they customize everything here at their plant, they will be figuring out how to accommodate my wishes, and I'm sure they will since that has been my experience in this. Overall, I am very happy with this company, Julia at the office, Mike in Production, and Jonathan and June in installation. This company is professional, organized, efficient and they did a great job.

Very professional, designed my closets to get the optimum space (including shoes and purses). Installer was on time and neat.very happy with my closets...and so much room.

Everything was perfect. Laura was very responsive and easy to work with. The space was left clean, smelt wonderful. We ended up making some last minute changes with the design and Laura went completely out of her way to make sure we had everything we wanted/needed.

They were really efficient and they did the work in excellent time. It was a really good job and we are really pleased. It was so good, we’re thinking about using them to help organize our garage.

They did a great job but it is an expensive service. They came in, did it quickly and cleaned up after themselves. I will use them again in the future.

They installed drawers, cabinets and shelving for shoes as well as parts for long clothes, short clothes and in-between clothes. They measured everything, including the length of my husband's shirts. They were very good so that everything fits in the closets perfectly. They did a great job; came in and estimated, then when the materials arrrived they came out and did everything in one day; including the trim. We painted the closets first by our choice. They put boots on their shoes when they came into my house so I appreciated that. I will used them again in the future.

They were excellent and very knowledgeable. We will probably go with them.

This was our second purchase from this company and the first installation at a home we just moved into. The designer/Jo Beth is very knowledgeable and worked quickly. On the scheduled day, the installation went very smoothly and the workers (2) (John was the installer) worked very well. They were polite. The clean up could have been a bit better since they did leave some sawdust on the floor which I had to vacuum. The installation took less than half a day and the work was performed efficiently. In retrospect I think the drawer unit was over-priced but we were in a hurry to have the storage taken care of. I recommend this company over their well-known competitor which we have also used.

The work was great, they came when they were supposed to, and they did what they were supposed to. They do really good closets and I don't have any complaints.

They did a great job. The reason why I chose them was because they were very timely in their response, very professional when they came in for the quote. Ultimately in the whole process they did a very good job of handling both the customer relationship process and in the end installation process. All around they were very knowledgeable of the product, helpful and very selectable in telling how much money we were going to spend if we did this, sub-grades on my view and not views and they were just all around the job. They were very professional. Their knowledge was fine and was very quick to understand what I was looking for. Their clean up was solid and I didn’t have any problems with their clean up. They did a great job in forming and working just as expected. I thought that their price was fair and it was a fair deal on the product that I got and work they did.

Their service was very good. They had a very good representative, Laura. She really works with you and came to my house. Mike, the manager, works with you, as well. They are very helpful and I will use them in the future!

Lorriane arrived on time, was very professional ,and produced designs and a quote on the spot. She asked if I had any coupons and I mentioned the angieslist discount briefly. She then provided a quote with a base price and a markdown of 40%. We took several other bids that day and ultimately settled on Lorraine's as the best design. Unfortunately, there was apparently some confusion regarding our discussion of discounts. Having been in sales, I know that writing a base price and taking a "deduction" is a pretty standard practice and usually doesn't represent any real discount. It's generally just a sales tactic. I had assumed this was the case and that my angieslist discount would be taken on top of that. Unfortunately, that wasn't true and the closet was out of our price range. When I emailed her to inform her of this and that we were going with a competitor with a very similar design and features She returned my email with the following, which I felt to be extremely unprofessional and a little bit rude. "You never mentioned the ad and it is clearly written on your quote the discount which was higher. I hope the closet is the quality you are happy with as we all know you get what you pay for! Thanks anyway!" We would certainly consider going with them again, as their designs are well thought out and the closets are quality. However, there are some upcharges for things that other companies in the area are providing standard. I would also work out any discount pricing in advance, as the confusion clearly upset her, given the tone of her email.

Fantastic company from showing up on time, the speed of design, quality of product and installation and terrific staff from designer (Paul) to the install team, all very professional and concerned about doing a good job. Very happy with the results.

I had used them to redo my master walk-in and was very happy. I would call them again or recommend them in a heartbeat.

The design consultant came to the house twice. She had good ideas and was responsive to our feedback on initial designs. The workmen who did the closet and garage installations were timely, efficient, and professional. The price was somewhat higher than another company we considered, but we chose California Closets because we were concerned about the financial condition of the competing bidder.

Lady that came and took measurements was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Installation men were professional, efficient, and polite. They did a great job.

I thought the sales rep, Laura, was very knowledgeable and professional because I had done this before. I liked what she suggested, they were right on time and the installation was great. They were quiet and in and out. I liked the outcome. I'm gladly use them again.

Very detailed and thoughful design by Lorraine Rose who is a true professional. The price was excellent and the final result is wonderful. The installer was somewhat difficult and I had to have him back several times to get things the way I wanted them but the final product was great and they stand by their work. I would call Lorraine Rose at 727.455.1729 as the person who designs your closets can make a huge difference in the final result.

The sales rep, Beth, was very punctual, enthusiastic, and extremely helpful in the design of our closets. But when it came time for the installation, our problems started. The crew was later than planned the first day. They didn't have all the shelving we paid for, and they brought the wrong closet rods (which we discovered, not them). Additionally, a valet rod and tie rack were the wrong finish than what Beth had said was available. When I asked what time the crew would be back with the correct supplies, I was told that the warehouse was closed on Saturdays, and they couldn't get what was needed to finish the job. I had to insist that they call and find someone who could meet them at the warehouse to get the correct supplies to finish the installation. They did find someone to open the warehouse for them, and they returned to finish the job. Apparently, I should have watched their every step and followed them around to ensure the job was done correctly. Because after they left, and when my husband and I had time to check out everything, we found several things to our dissatisfaction. First, the crew had left warehouse stickers and pencil marks on all the top shelves. We found puddles of the cleaner they used on the top shelves. We had to clean it up ourselves. We discovered one of the closets had shelving that had been cut wrong. Several of the drawer fronts weren't affixed flush and tight. And the workers scratched and dented our freshly painted closet walls when they put the shelves in. But the most disturbing issue was that every top shelf in each closet had unfinished, rough strips where the vertical supports intersected the top shelf. We had been told that every shelving surface would be "finished" and usable. The edges that were left unfinished prevent us from using the top shelves for delicate knits, sweaters, or anything needing to be stored on a smooth surface. I called Beth, the sales rep, and expressed our unhappiness, and asked her to have them come back the next Saturday to finish the job correctly. Not only did she tell me they only work "every other Saturday", but that they never finish the rough edges on the top shelves. Several calls were placed back and forth, before a date could be set to get the crew back out to correct the closet where the shelves had been cut wrong. They did come back and cut the shelves correctly, but they left the sawdust, and did not clean up after themselves. Our newly painted walls were still scratched up, and we'll have to pay our painter to paint again. Beth still maintained that they never finish off the top shelves, and that no customer has ever wanted that done. We found that surprising, because having used one of their competitors for the closets in our last two homes, we knew that all of the edges can indeed be finished off smoothly. The company called us during business hours and wanted the balance due for the job. I called after hours and left a message explaining that I work 10-hour shifts, with my day off varying each week. As I am not allowed to make or take personal calls at work, I asked for a contact number for someone I could speak with after hours, or on Saturdays. I explained that the job wasn't finished to our satisfaction, and that I wanted to make an appointment for the crew to come out and finish the edges of the shelving. Calls were placed back and forth with the company, with several messages left on each end, but no one ever gave me the name or contact information of someone I could speak to after my working hours. Weeks went by, and the problem had not been resolved. The company kept leaving messages wanting payment. I kept leaving messages that the job was unfinished. Finally, on a Saturday, a manager called me threatening us with legal action for non-payment. I threatened the same for not finishing the work properly. With the issue escalating, one of the owners called me to discuss a resolution. He re-iterated that the company never finishes the edging on the top shelves. I reiterated that our closet space was very limited, and that Beth knew up front how important it was to us to have as much shelving as possible available for use. I told him that had we known in the beginning that the top shelves wouldn't be entirely smooth, then we wouldn't have chosen their company. The owner seemed appreciative to know of all the problems we had had, and did offer a resolution. He offered to install a "topper" over all our top shelves, which would hide the rough, unfinished edges. However, the topper was 3/4" high, and would not work for our purposes. The owner discussed the issue further, and offered us additional shelves for several of our closets as compensation for the problems. Though our top shelves still have rough edges, we did resolve the issue by accepting the additional shelves. They were delivered and installed as agreed, the balance owed was paid, and no legal action was taken by either party.

He was all over the place with his numbers and what it may cost. I have not decided if I will go with this company for this project.
