This is the second electircal project I have used them for. I live in an old house 1950's and have electrical issues if I upgrade anything. They have been both responsive and reasonable in their work, do not over charge and do not require you to do mor than what you need done. I recommend them highly

The work was done by Jerry's son. He spent about six hours, installing the panel. Jerry followed up with the job. A part that Jerry ordered had not come in, but his son was able to install the panel just before a hurricane was supposed to hit our area. A week later, the part came in and Jerry's son installed it. We asked about having another outlet installed and the job was done. We were thrilled with the job. Both father and son are very professional. We are very pleased with this company.

Excellent responsiveness to our call. Tried to troubleshoot our electrical problems before coming out for a service call. Diagnosed and repaired multiple problems. Answer questions and gave options to repair other electrical problems in the future. Will definitely use this provider again.

I have used AGE in the past and had an issue with "tacked on" fees during the last job, alerted Jerry about it and he reduced the cost for me, still not to what the original estimate was, but it was acceptable to me since they did a good job. This time, I simply called Jerry and over the phone, he said the surge protector would cost $296 and it would take "about an hour" for his son to do the job. He said it was relatively easy. He said his son's hourly rate was $65. This is all that was mentioned for costs. I called and requested he come a few days earlier than planned due to an expected storm on the way. He texted me and said he could have the work done early. There was no other discussion. His son called as expected and arrived early. We could not be home at that time so when we arrived home later, he left the bill. To our surprise the bill was as follows: Surge Arrestor: $296. "Breaker: $15. " Service Call": $40. Labor 1.5 hours: $97.50 Tax: $21.77.TOTAL: $470.37. I called Jerry, he explained that he was sorry he didn't mention the service call charge but he had to "make a living" and pay for gas for the van and he charged the service call also because I wanted him to come earlier than expected, etc. I asked about "1.5" hours and he said, "it was much more difficult than expected". Combined with the last job costing more than expected, and the explanations for this job, we grew suspicious. LUCKILY, we were able to catch him in a BLATANT LIE!! Upon reviewing our security cameras, it was apparent that his son was there EXACTLY 1 hour, between van pulling up and van pulling out of driveway!! My wife decided to give him a call to see if he was aware that his son Mike lied about time spent on our job. He was quick to say, "send me your email and I will respond". She asked him again and he immediately interrupted and went on loudly about the service call that I had already spoke with him about, and also adding that the extra time was for the time he had to drive to the location. Then what is the service call charge for?? He said, "YOU ARE LUCKY MY SON WAS THERE BECAUSE I CHARGE $85 AND YOU ACTUALLY SAVED MONEY"! My wife then mentioned that she was well aware of what he was explaining because that was already established with me the day prior. She again asked him if he is aware that his son lied about the physical amount of time he spent on our property - from beginning to end of job - and informed him that we have it all on our security video, and when she asked if this "charge for extra time" other than the service call, the time spent working on the job, plus materials, is clearly stated on any receipt or service contract, he abruptly mumbled something that was unclear in order to talk over her, then hung up. This unethical business practice is exactly why Angie's List is here and people should be aware of this type of business. Hanging up on us!?! What grown man who owns a business does that? He proceeded to TEXT both of us offering to remove all work done with no charge for any service. I have no problem paying for the cost of materials, (even if I am aware there is an up-charge), and the cost of APPROPRIATE LABOR, which thankfully we have proof. But tacking on charges after-the-fact is simply unacceptable.

My parents' (in their late 90's), only AC (a window unit) went out, and I live out of state. I joined Angies list to find an electrician in their area ASAP. I selected Jerry's company due to the good reviews and proximately to their house. Turns out it was a very good match. The overall job was complicated as I had to get a new AC, an installer, and electrician - long distance and FAST. He was very accomodiating and patient with the several schedule changes and was very accessible (I first contacted him late on a Friday afternoon). He was fair and understanding and as accomodiating as I hoped he would be. He had to come to the house several times, work it into his schedule, deal w/the weekend, and parts. Also considerating the "emergency status" of the situation, I also thought the price was very fair. In the end, the AC was up and working in as short a time as possible considering all the vendors involved. He was there first and then last, per the requirements of the job... By Monday noon all as working and my parents house cool once again. I would highly recommend him again and have him on my "go to list" for future electriacl needs..

I recently moved into my house and discovered, from another electrician, that I was not grounded. I wasn't able to get back in touch with the previous electrician so I called AGE of Pinellas. They got someone out within 24 hours to get my house grounded AND it was one of the best estimates I had gotten. I will certainly use them again!

He arrived on time. He evaluated the situation and started to work. He covered everything before working, which helped with cleanup. He completed the tasks in the time quoted and the bill was exactly as expected. Everything was smooth.

Jerry came to give an estimate promptly and described what I needed very accurately. He estimated the job would be plus or minus 6.5 hours and cost around $800. His son called and said he was running late (supposed to be about 10-10:45, showed up at 11:45). No big deal, very understandable since they are a busy company. He stayed all day, worked the entire time until about 7pm, did an excellent job and very professional. I was impressed and happy with the results. The bill was a bit more at the end (about $970), but they knocked it down to $900 for the angieslist discount! I am extremely happy and would definitely hire them again.

I had an electrical outlet not working. I called and Jerry answered the phone immediately. Instaed of charging me a service call, he asked me to re-set the GFI breakers first. Jerry fixed the problem over the phone! What a guy! I will absolutely call him with all my electrical needs.

Owner Jerry and son Michael (also an electrician) spent about 12-14 hours performing the work over two days. They did not leave the premises until they were sure everything was working properly and called the next day to ensure all was ok. We passed city inspection with flying colors. The inspector commented that AGE always does wonderful work.

We purchased an older home that had a few issues that needed to be addressed. Right off, Jerry hit it off with us. He is very experienced, knowledgeable, and provided sound and welcomed advice. What really impressed us is his grasp of construction methods though the years (our home was built in 1961). He provided a detailed estimate of the work we needed. It included:- Panel replacement- Running new circuits to the kitchen (the previous owner did some "custom" renovations).- Running electric to 2 bathroom fans and a new run to the main bathroomJerry and Mike arrived at my home at the agreed time and immediately started work. I did my best not to slow them down too much with my many questions to which they took the time to answer. Mike, Jerry's apprentice, is very skillful and competent. He and Jerry got though all the work at an amazing pace. The key part of this project is that Jerry and Mike both earned my trust very quickly. They remind me of my relatives who worked in the trades and were very proud of the jobs they did for their customers. Jerry and Mike are the same way. They are very meticulous and pay attention to the small details. I am extremely satisfied with the results Jerry and Mike and produced for me. I would hire them for any and all electrical work.

First time using. They had one worker, Mike, come out. He did a great job and he will be back tomorrow to do more.

The switch that worked my patio fans stopped working. Mike spent time, effort, thought , and logic to trace the source of the problem since the switch was not broken. He found a wall switch in a closet in another room that, unknown to me, controlled the power to the switch to the outside fans, The switch was somehow knocked into the off position which shut off the power to the outside fan switch. I will have Mike back as I plan to redo the room and replace and correct the wiring done by the previous home owner.

Quick response to request for estimate, fit us in to suit our time frame which was very tight. Work completed within days of requestt. Very pleasant young man did work and worked well

Jerry's assistant arrived on time. Nice young man. The issue I had could be handled in more than one way. He listened to my problem..... no interrupting. After discussing the options and various drawbacks, we decided on the path to take. He took care of the work efficiently and with a minimum of disruption to the household. I was very satisfied with the job AGE did and would definitely use them again. I highly recommend them.

Excellent job. Right on time. This was a condo job that required good understanding of code and permit requirements. Jerry and Mike really knew what they were talking about.

They showed up on time and took about 2 hours to add the switched outlet. He was able to add the outlet exactly where I wanted it. He also cleaned up afterwards.

We called Jerry at AGE after finding him on Angie's List, and we were thrilled with the results. We needed a VERY outdated electrical box replaced on a home we were purchasing, and though we got a number of estimated from highly-rated electricians, Jerry was by far the best. Not only was Jerry able to save us money by reusing some high-quality components that were already present, he was the only electrician we got a quote from to give us a detailed estimate (down to the cost of screws to attach the box to the wall), he also took the time to call us and explain the work more fully over the phone so we would know exactly what to expect. Though he warned us that he only used quality materials and would probably not be the lowest estimate we got, the price we got from AGE was better than the other two electricians, and choosing him to do the work was a no-brainer. Jerry got out to the site right on time on the scheduled date, and was even able to take care of some last-minute additions like re-wiring a couple of outlets in the living room. The living room work meant that the day took longer than expected, but we're very pleased with the result. Jerry took care of the permits, and came back out a few days later to meet with the inspector and make sure that all of the legalities were dealt with. We got copies of the permit and completed inspection very promptly. Our only quibble--and it's a small one--is that it took Jerry's assistant a few days to come out and patch a hole in the garage that was left when they replaced the old box. If we hadn't been waiting for a final home inspection this wouldn't have been a problem at all, and it was the only hiccup we encountered in the whole process. Otherwise, it was timely, quality work and matched the estimated budget exactly. Jerry and AGE Electric did a great job, and we will certainly be calling him for any electric work that we need done in the future. You won't regret hiring him!

We called Jerry based on excellent Angie's List reports. He came out the next day on time as promised to put in a bid. Jerry listened very carefully to what I wanted to have done and made helpful suggestions. He said he'd get back to me with an estimate in a few days. The estimate took a bit longer to arrive than expected, but when we got it, it was very detailed, showing all the parts he would be using in the job and the price for each part. He emailed the estimate to us, which was very convenient. We did get another estimate to compare, and found both to be in the same ballpark, but Jerry's estimate was more formal and detailed. What we liked about Jerry was that he didn't try to give a bid over the phone. He actually came out and walked around and talked to us. Also, I was not interested in going out shopping for lighting fixtures. Jerry was willing to supply all the fixtures, saving me a morning at Home Depot. All of the fixtures were basic security lighting or basic interior fluorescent fixtures. I was not looking for decorative fixtures. Jerry was quick to give me feedback on ways to keep the price of the job minimized. After he sent the estimate to us, I requested some changes and some additional work, which added another hundred and fifty dollars or so to the original estimate as it required more work and more switches. Jerry showed up with his helper electrician (his son) on the agreed upon day and we all walked around the house as Jerry explained the job to his son. They started the job around 10am and finished up around 5pm. Jerry left several times during the day and came back, but his son remained all day and did an excellent job. On testing all the lighting, Jerry discovered that two of the bulbs he brought were bad. He wanted to complete the job the same day, so he came back later (well after dark) and replaced both bulbs. He could have waited until the next day, but we were happy he went to the extra trouble to bring the bulbs for us that night. We are very happy with our new lighting and with the price we paid. We will call Jerry the next time we need electrical work.

My first call resulted in a talking with a real person who gave me patient, detailed advice. We set a date and time for service within four days. The electrician phoned in advance to say he was on his way and arrived exactly on time. He determined the problems, allowed time for me to pick up the parts, and made the repairs. Excellent company to work with!
