We used Totally Trees last year to trim many large branches which were hanging over the property line. This year when we needed a tree removed from the yard, we called them again since our first experience was excellent. We were not disappointed. They again did an excellent job. They removed the tree and ground the stump. The crew members were polite and motivated to do a good job. If we have need for tree work in the future, we woulddefinitely call Totally Trees again.
Description of Work: I used TOTALLY TREES.

The crew arrived about 10 AM with multiple trucks, trailers, bobcat, and chain saws. Everyone was friendly and polite. The job was completed quickly and efficiently. The cleanup was outstanding - not a branch or leaf was left in the yard. My husband and I were amazed at the quality of the work and the price.
Description of Work: The crew trimmed huge trees that were overhanging our fence. Some of the branches removed were as large as medium-sized trees.

Michael came out and gave us a quote based on services that we needed; discussed what tree to cut; what limbs needed to be removed and he also checked out the back portion of the property that needed to be cleared. He said he would call us the following Monday with a price. He was a day late on the quote, but the price was reasonable. He called a week later and said they were working in the area and would like to come on out and start the job the following Monday (two days later) Monday came and they never did show. I run a horse rescue and had all the horses caught and put up which was inconvenient but necessary. When they didn't show, I had to call Michael. (He never bothered to call me to let me know anything) He said, "Oh, we are running behind. Can we come out tomorrow, instead?" I had an equine dentist coming out at 3:00 that next day and wanted the limbs and tree cutting done before then. He said that would be no problem. He said they would be at my house by 10:00 AM giving them plenty of time to do the trees before moving to the back to clear the property. The next morning at 10:30 they still were not here. I called Michael (again he never called to let me know they were going to be late) and he said they were on their way from Hwy. 98, which is not anywhere in the local area, like they said they were working previously. Michael said he would not be with them, but the owner of the company, Wayne, would be. It was twelve noon and they still had not called or arrived. By that time, I was upset because the dentist would be there in three hours. I called Michael and left a message that I would have to cancel until another day. I went out and put a lock on the gate. Shortly thereafter, Wayne and the crew of two men showed up and went past my house. By that time, I didn't care if they ever found me. They backed up and pulled up in my yard in front of the gate. My daughter talked me into letting them start the job, since they were already there. Wayne could see I was visibly upset and I told him to give me a minute to calm down. He was very apologetic and said he would do a good job and make me happy. Since Michael wasn't there, I had to walk Wayne through the entire property of three acres and show him again what we needed done, which was irritating. They started on the trees. I had to move horses around to keep them from being frightened. They were patient in waiting for that. I had to go to the back of the property to take down a temporary hot wire so they could work, but before I could get it down, they came barreling back there with the bobcat. They could have waited a few minutes or even helped me, but instead I had to hurry and move the fence while trying to stay out of the way and avoid being run over by the bobcat. It was scary and they were very unprofessional as they continued to rip up the woods while I was dodging the tractor. The equine dentist arrived at that time and I had to rush back to the front of the property to meet with them. At days end, they still had a few loads of limbs and trees to haul away and Wayne said they would return around 10 AM the following morning. After they left, I went out back and discovered that they had not cleared enough for us to be able to put up our pasture fence. The next morning, I called Michael and told him that they had not completed the clearing as we had agreed on the quote price. He said he would speak with Wayne about it. I also asked Michael to have them call me before they arrived in the area, so I could catch the horses and open the gate. They arrived at 10:30, but never called to let me know they were almost there. I had to go to the feed room to get some feed to get the horses in. My granddaughter was standing there and said, Grandma, they are waiting for you! I was so frustrated, I said, "I've been having to wait on them!" As it turned out, Wayne happened to be standing there. At that point, he became very "cocky". I had to walk to the back and show him what else needed to be cleared. He said, "That would be an extra charge". I stated that the quote was based on 200' X 40' and that was what I was showing him. He stood on the property line and looked from one survey marker to the next and said ,"I will cut down one, two three of those (small) trees, but that's it." He said, "Your neighbor will come looking for me, not you, if I cut down anything on his property". When the job was done, though he had pushed old metal and tin over onto the neighbors property, which he was supposed to haul off. But he was tired and irritated by then and wanted to get the job over with. He also left several stumps, which we will have to remove before horses can go in that area. We paid to have one stump ground up from a cedar tree they cut down, they did not do that either. He never did charge "extra" to do the last portion of the clearing. I paid him and was glad to see him go. I never saw or heard from Michael again. This company is based in Michigan and will be leaving the area in May. My lesson learned is to always hire locals and people who will back up their work and strive for repeat customers..
Description of Work: Tree and limbs cut down; 200' X 40' lot cleared
