The Concrete Doctors

On 12/19/2016, I contracted with Keith L. Kennedy, doing business as The Concrete Doctors of NW Florida to make repairs to my 215 foot driveway. The repairs were to rout out the cracked lines and replace them with a super strong epoxy cement that he reported was stronger than the original concrete. That was just 7 months ago. The epoxy is now separating from the cracks and can be removed with your fingernails. At the rate it is deteriorating I doubt it will exist in one years time. I have made several attempts to contact Kennedy by phone and have visited his old residence on Hesperia Drive, Pensacola, Fl. He has since moved and according to his live-in girlfriend, he no longer works in the Marcus Point subdivision where I live. His cell phone at 850-356-0124 no longer accepts messages. I have been contacted by 3 other residences of Marcus Pointe subdivision that have/are experiencing similar problems with work performed by The Concrete Doctors. They are considering a class action suite against Mr. Kennedy. We have also reported his practices to the Pensacola office of the Better Business Bureau and are in the process of contacting the Florida Department of Consumer Fraud.

Keith Kennedy's company name is Concrete Doctors. The initial staining and clear coat they put down peeled up and flaked within 2 days. They initially tried to get the old stuff up by sanding it down. It quickly became apparent that it wasn't a good idea because it damaged the surface. Then they power washed it up which worked. They patched the damaged areas with the resurfacing product and re-stained and re-sealed it. It took but you could clearly see the patched areas looked like patched areas. Keith told me it was because the patched material was newer and that it would fade out and blend in a week or so. It did not. I communicated our dissatisfaction with Keith. He said he would come back to fix those areas in 2-3 weeks. He never did as he promised us. There are also some cracks that have developed and it has only been a few months since it was done. I would not use him again nor would I recommend him to a friend.

Fabulous, Fantastic, Wonderful, Conscientious . . . Keith Kennedy, The Concrete Doctor, brought a dying patient (our concrete areas) back to life!!! Our driveway was a mess with several deep long cracks and he completely repaired them all prior to resurfacing the driveway, our front walkway and front porch. You would never know there had ever been any cracks. Our concrete pool decking and back porches had been pressured washed so many times over the last 25 years that the concrete was worn down to the very rough aggregate with no smooth surface making it extremely uncomfortable on skin and damaging to swimsuits. He resurfaced the areas with a cool deck coating making it not only beautiful, but very comfortable. You could say it is now "User Friendly". We will certainly enjoy entertaining around the pool area now. He refinished our garage floor making it look better than ever. It is a beautiful color with a glossy top coat and so clean. Honestly, we never had to lift a hand (we just wanted to be involved re-organizing things in the garage). They moved all the patio furniture and everything in the garage and then replaced everything. We could not have found a company more conscientious in their work. They made sure everything was just the way we wanted it. They went well above and beyond what we had expected and their finished product is much nicer than some we have seen by other companies (and we checked out several companies). Their price was reasonable and in line or below that of other companies. We could not be happier with the work, attitude and competence of employees, and Keith's desire to please his customers.
