The older/father Mr. Smith measured our home for carpet. He was not very professional in that his notes were not intelligible when we went in to the store to select flooring. His measurements were a piece of scrap paper--not on a graph. His notes were just measurements with no order to them so his son could not figure out the square footage to give us a quote.

Called the provider. He came to property and measured the job. He provided an estimate with options. We agreed on a date. He came laid the carpet as agreed.

They pulled up and replaced carpet in 3 rooms. They removed and replaced vinyl linoleum in 3 areas. Linoleum was wavy and uneven, is puffed up and was pieced incorrectly. Repeated calls to company, still waiting for resolution. A carpet-vinyl junction was not done well and still needs to be corrected.

My family moved to Pensacola from out of state and we had a short time to have the carpets changed after taking possession of the house before our goods arrived. After a lot of hassle with a large company that subcontracts their carpet installation, I opted for Smith Family Carpet. They worked with me in sending out someone to take measurements while the house was still under contract. Then I met with them in their office briefly while I'd flown in to town briefly to close on the house. They showed me what they had in stock and gave me a quote. I left a key with a friend in town who left the door on locked for them on the scheduled installation day (they would lock up on their way out), and when we arrived in town a few days later the brand new carpet was installed with out a problem as expected. My only small frustration, and it was very minor, was arriving exhausted at 10:00 PM after a 14 hour drive with 5 dogs and the flu to a note saying they forgot a broom and would come back later to sweep if we wanted them too. Like I said, it was minor and they acknowledged that they hadn't swept and offered to come back. Overall, very satisfied with the level and promptness of service, and honestly, the easiest part of our house buying experience in FL.

Sam at Smith Family Carpet is always pleasant to speak with and impresses with a sense of valued business. He was very accomodating in my requests and the installers were polite and professional. Highly recommended.

On time, did a great job, cleaned up well, were extremely respectful of my home and the final product is lovely. They were also very easy to deal with and flexible in scheduling. I would recommend to anyone who wanted hardwood floors.

Everything went great!!! The installers arrived on time....8:00am...Did not take a lunch or dinner break. worked until the job was finished about 7:30 pm. Moved all furniture out of rooms and put it all back where it belonged...They were great! Very professional and hard working!

They tried to help us out but they did not try to push us to buy more than we wanted. There is a 25 year warranty on the carpet and I am recommending them to everybody I talk to.
