Ultra-Fast Roofing Turn Around Time
Finally, after 77 days my new roof replacement and all the repairs are completed! I first want to say before selecting Secured Roofing, I did my due diligence. I read all the reviews on Google, Facebook and BBB. I got several estimates for my roof replacement and Secured Roofing was the most expensive by $2000. Because the reviews were so good and I wanted to ensure my roof was completed in a timely matter by a reputable company, I went with Secured Roofing. It was very clear after the first roof installation, I had made a mistake. My first roof was installed on November 10, 2021. This install was done by Nathan and it was horrible. The shingles were defective and there were many workmanship issues. The following morning Stephan and another sales person came by and immediately knew my roof would have to be replaced. Now here is my question, how did 2 people in sales know that the roof was bad in a matter of minutes but Nathan and his crew didn't? I've never received a answer to that question. But because the defective shingles were installed on my roof and instead of Joe, the manager, actually coming out to look at my roof and the poor workmanship or even calling, Joe decided to file a claim with Tamko shingle company to recoup the money for the second roof that was now going to have to be installed. A Tamko representative came out on two occasions, Nov 18th and Dec 13th, shingles were removed in 6-8 places on my already horrible looking roof. The second time Tamko came out Joe had told me and Stephan he would be here. After waiting and waiting Joe was a no show, which did not surprise me because he would never call me back or bother to show any urgency or concern for my situation. I contacted the corporate office. At this point I was tired of being ignored and dismissed by Pensacola manager, Joe. I was told because the Tamko claim had been filed, I had to wait for the results of their testing. So I had to go through Thanksgiving and Christmas with this very stressful situation hanging over my head. Finally, two days before Christmas Stephan called and let me know Tamko was paying for the second roof. Ok, all should be better from this point on but no it wasn't. The second roof was installed on Jan 12, 2022 by Danny and his crew, Stephan was also here to make sure the roof installation went smoothly. When Danny began putting on the new shingles he immediately noticed they were bad and stopped. Danny and Stephan went to a different supplier and procured good shingles. The roof was finished by the end of the day and looked good. Thankfully Danny and Stephan were here! So, now all Joe had to do was to schedule the repairs and workmanship issues from the first roof and have the 3 pallets of bad shingles removed from my property. Once AGAIN this was a problem and I had to contact the corporate office again!! It took another 2 WEEKS for Joe to get the repairs made and my roof job to be completely finished. During this entire fiasco, I spoke to Joe, the manager twice. Our second conversation on Jan 20, 2022 began by Joe letting me know he's been getting emails for not reaching out to me. I was hoping this call would have been Joe taking responsibility and ownership of my current situation. But that didn't happen. Instead Joe made excuses, lied, blamed his employees, insulted my intelligence and talked down to me. Once I had enough, I just asked for a date and time when Danny and Stephan would be here to complete the work. I told Joe I would be posting reviews and pictures with regards to my experience with Secured Roofing. Joe stated, I could write whatever I wanted to. Just another example of his nonchalant attitude concerning the seriousness of this situation. I have to say everyone else with this company did care about my situation and were very apologetic but Joe is the manager and he makes the decisions and schedules. Stephan and Danny are great and in the end, 77 days later, my roof looks great and I am happy. Thank you Stephan and Danny!!!

We never want our homeowners to be unhappy with the products or services we provide at Secured Roofing. You can tell this by the high ratings we have from our customers and their satisfaction with our work and customer service. Mrs. [Member Name Removed]’s job was certainly an unfortunate situation that happens very rarely in the roofing industry. She had chosen the Tamko Titan shingle which is a newer shingle that came out within the last year with a 160MPH wind resistance. We have installed many homeowners with this same shingle without any issues whatsoever. All shingle manufacturers have a shingle warranty that covers in type of defects in their shingles. We did agree that these shingles that had come from Tamko had granule loss that was not acceptable. We followed the procedures that is required by all manufacturers when you have a “warranty claim” which is that we must take a test sample shingle and send it in to Tamko for them to test that shingle to determine if that was an issue that is covered under their warranty. Unfortunately, this is a requirement that we don’t have control over the time it takes for the manufacturer to provide us and the homeowner with their final decision. In that evaluation our Sales Rep, our Production Manager, our roofer and the Tamko Representative were on site to speak with our homeowner. As manager of a busy office with multiple customers and managing many jobs I cannot be at all the jobs, but it is also why we have these specialists in place to assist as a team to make sure issues are taken care of.
