About us

I love Real Estate. I especially love the people I am able to help in Real Estate. It is of utmost importance to choose a Realtor you can trust. Over the years, I have heard and experienced the results of trusting in a Realtor that took advantage of their client or didn't hold their client's best interest above their own. I became a Realtor because I am determined to be above average in ethics, standards, and integrity. Above that, marketing is essential to home sellers. I continually take classes that help me maximize the sale of your home using technology to your advantage! The misconception that younger agents don't have experience to sell or buy homes effectively can't be further from the truth! Please allow me to prove that idea wrong! For your 100% satisfaction, I write in the listing agreement that if you don't like me, you can fire me! I am a non pressure-type, fun agent, yet full of tenacity to get the job done the right way the first time. I am confident I will be your forever Realtor and you won't be ashamed to refer me to your friends and family too. Above all, I thoroughly enjoy the lasting benefits made from a great business relationship and at the end of the day, my clients become my friends! Allow me to prove it to you! I recently purchased a house in Myrtle Grove. The selling agent for the house was Melissa McKnight, employed by Key Impressions, LLC. The selling agent was completely absent during the entire process. I only actually met Melissa during closing. My real estate agent had to the be the one updating the prior homeowner of the status of the sale. I was informed this was due to Melissa having personal issues. I can only equate greed as to the reason that Melissa wouldn't defer her responsibilities for the sale of this property to another associate at Key Impressions if her personal issues were keeping her from doing her job. I paid $15,500 over the asking price of the house. My only request was $500 in repairs for electrical hazards in the home. This request was immediately declined, but I was assured that the selling agent would provide a gift card to Lowe's to assist with repairing the safety issues. No such gift card was received. Upon final inspection of the property, the house was disgusting. The prior homeowner left up tons of what only can be described as junk: old dusty fake flowers, old dusty window "treatments", Easter baskets, used hemorrhoid suppositories and cream, deodorant with hair on it, used shower shoes, used shower loofahs, and so much more. It would be take an incredible amount of time to list the trash that was left in this property. I have attached photos of the property upon move in as proof. The trash ended up being over 7 feet tall. During the inspection, I asked our real estate agent to reach out to the selling agent to have the trash removed, no response was received. At closing, I spoke of the issues directly with Melissa, the selling agent. She stated the contract stated the window treatments were expected to remain with the property, no such language was in the contract. I proceeded to explain to her that it wasn't just window treatments (see the paragraph above detailing the trash left). She apologized several times, insisting that she would have an individual come by to pick up the trash. Over a week went by with the trash not being removed. I continuously reminded my real estate agent that I needed this trash removed. I then received a screenshot of a text that was sent one hour prior that someone was trying to get access to the house to remove the trash. By that time, the guy was long gone and no longer available to remove the trash. I then had to rent a trailer and dispose of the trash myself at the landfill at my own expense. As stated previously, I was promised a gift card as well as a "welcome home" gift basket. Neither of which was received. This company is a complete joke. Melissa and Key Impressions should be embarrassed that they would sell a home that had so much trash in it. Melissa is a lazy real estate agent with no regard for her customers. With all of the options of real estate agents in Pensacola, Melissa McKnight and Key Impressions should be at the absolute bottom of your list. I would never use them nor recommend them to anyone purchasing or selling a home. 5 Share Response from the owner an hour ago We are so sorry that your homebuying experience was unsatisfactory. Our company and our agents always strive to provide the best possible service. After reading your review and investigating the circumstances thoroughly, it appears as though there were some misunderstandings regarding the roles of each agent, contractual obligations, and conditions within the transaction. In this case, Melissa McKnight was the listing agent for the home you purchased. She is a seasoned agent with a stellar reputation. Her role as the listing agent was to represent the seller throughout the transaction. The real estate agent you chose to represent you is considered the “selling agent.” Your agent was not an agent with Key Impressions but with a different company. Listing agents do not typically interact or cross paths with the buyers directly if they are represented by their own agent except for occasionally at closings. For this listing, the seller wished to remain at the property during showings. Though your agent wasn’t representing the seller, she would have interacted with the seller simply out of necessity to show the home. Your agent accompanied you an additional time to the property to purchase some of the furniture the seller had available. The listing agent would not be present during these activities and, since your agent was present, this would not be deemed as the listing agent, Melissa McKnight, deferring her responsibilities. Throughout any transaction, the listing agent and selling agent work closely with each other to ensure everything stays on track and all contractual obligations are met for each of their clients. When this home was listed, you may recall it had multiple offers almost immediately. Your offer was the most attractive based on price and terms therefore, yours was the offer chosen. One of those terms was that the property was to be sold ‘As-Is’ meaning you had the right to inspect the property and choose to proceed or cancel based on the inspection results but that the seller would not be making any repairs. According to documentation, the seller took $400 off of the furniture you were purchasing from her to appease your concerns about the electrical repairs you mentioned. Additionally, for easy reference, please refer to Section 1(d) of your Purchase Contract. It specifically states that “the following items…are included in the purchase…drapery rods and draperies, blinds, window treatments.” Though they may not have been your style, the seller, as advised by her listing agent, left all of the above in place as part of her contractual obligations. It is completely understandable that you would be upset about the other items that were left inside the property. Anyone would be. Though arrangements had been made to have the rest of this trash removed and cleaned out, the person that was paid to do so did not complete his third trip to the property prior to closing to do so. After arriving to finish the job with no one at the property post-closing, his number was shared to schedule as was convenient for you. It’s unfortunate that you both were not able to connect for him to complete his job and that you had to contend with removing that kind of trash yourself. Key Impressions and Melissa McKnight work diligently to ensure the best results for everyone involved in each transaction and take great pride in the business reputation they have built. In reaching out to the selling agent, she stated, “As a competing realtor in our market, I have to say it was a pleasure to work with Melissa. Real estate can be very emotional and sometimes draining. Having an agent on the other side who is helpful and responsive is crucial for a smooth transaction. Melissa was all of these things and more.” That’s not to say everything is perfect every time unfortunately. We hope this clears up any confusion or misunderstandings with regard to your experience versus your expectations. Even though you were not our client, we take your concerns seriously and hope you are enjoying your home!

Key Impressions team was very helpful in selling my home. The professional pictures, staging and CMA was crucial for selling my home in a timely fashion. They did a great job actually marketing my house instead of just listing it like other agents do. From listing my home to closing was only a 9-week period. We actually had multiple offers and were able to use that to get the most money for our property. We received weekly updates on how many views, showings, and hits we got on our listing. I am more than satisfied, I'm a RAVING FAN! My agents were Joe Fox and Kimberly Gettle. I highly recommend them!
